Very nicely done video. Great editing. Good suggestions for planning a shed. I use a heavy tarp that I got from Billboard Tarps to enclose the open side of my mill shed. I open it up when I work, but at night or if the weathers bad i close it. It is attached by carabiners to a horizontal cable that runs across the top of the opening (23 feet).
Curious why everyone seems to do a shed roof. I built mine with trusses supported by beams at each end, clear span (24') , and snow and rain run off the ends (out of the way).
I built might with a shed roof so that I get more height at the log loading side. I have almost 9-1/2 feet which gives me more room when maneuvering larger logs. Both methods work, but this gives more height.
@@richardkaron1943 It has been through a hurricane already and one winter storm that was more intense than the hurricanes we experienced so I think we are good. Never know in NS though!
Shed looks great!

That’s a nice shelter.

Beautiful mill shed. Looking at building mine in a high wind location. What kind of footings did you pour? Is that just slab on grade?
We just had a contractor pour a slab. They put crushed gravel and compacted but no footings. Quite satisfied with the results.
@@sevengulches very cool. No worries about high wind loads flying off with your shed? Lol.

They should be treated sitting on concrete anyway
