When it comes to publishers, I sincerely hope you don't end up sacrificing your vision and soul on the altar of broader audience and whatever else nonsense(anti-consumerism, live service, etc..), that ruins so many games these days. After all, when you try to cater to everyone, you end up catering to no one. From the looks of things, what you've got going on right now, is a masterpiece in the making. Stick to your guns, and godspeed!
@@solid_snek We have actually passed on an offer that would have involved something along those lines. We definitely want a publisher that aligns with our vision, first and foremost.
@@OnceLostGames Glad to hear. Once the early access releases, I'm sure it will practically market itself, and spread like wildfire. This stagnant industry is in desperate need of a few successful passion projects such as this, to start setting a new precedent.
I hope you convince some popular TH-camrs and/or articles to talk about the Kickstarter when it comes out. This needs to be as popular as it can possibly be
The cosmology system is something that really excites me. In a lot of the early community polls for ideas for the game I mentioned having stuff like comets, meteorites, supernovae etc so seeing that they've already started to build the weather and space systems is very encouraging.
Aye! For me, the second most anticipated would be Shadow of the Erdtree, third: Build 42 of Project Zomboid, fourth: I don't even want to talk about the fourth, too many traumas of getting excited of rumors of the PC port of Bloodborne!
I think they can raise about 2mil$ easily. I also think that price for early access should not be over 25$. Why, GOD NO to Bethesda. Bethesda in not the same company as once was. If he steps on board everything and i mean everything that Wayward Realms would hold as its DNA...yeah all would be scrapped. Because you cant sell niche thing to the masses. No, its better for Once Lost Games to do this on their own a much as they can. Yes, it will be longer route but at least the hearth of the game will be preserved. I think this might be the first Kickstarter campaign that i will support.
Yeah. Totally agree. Bethesda have gone mainstream and with them being owned by Microsoft, Once Lost Games cannot expect any sort of independence or freedom to do their thing. But ultimately they will need a publisher and an investor. But i guess first things first they need to have a great kickstarter campaign.
I find it honestly baffling, that the ES series has gone on as long as it has, without getting any real competition in the particular genre. Heck Bethesda has always gotten cut a considerable degree of slack for their infamous bugs. Their games often celebrated as flawed masterpieces, each leaving a lot to be desired in different aspects. Anyhow, it's not like TWR directly even competes with the modern Bethesda formula of games, they abandoned it after Daggerfall.
Opps! Haha! I did not look at his profile. To make a game like Kingdom Come Deliverance, you need to have experience. What a job his company is doing. Are you getting KCD 2?
@@magickaddict I am not sure. Too many games to play, and Vávra became a kind of a jerk since making KCD 1. I will see how it goes, and then wait for patches, bug fixes, and mods.
Ehhh... seeing graphical fidelity / visuals being prioritized so early on doesn't bode well. Considering games like this take neigh-on half a decade to complete (if we're lucky), visuals should ideally be one of the final touches on the table.
I have high hopes for this game, there is some great talent behind it and their concept for dungeon crawler RPG is great... Ofcourse if they want to raise money from kickstarter they need to show some gameplay, engine and good graphics otherwise there is no buzz.. I will support this on kickstarter gives me larian vibes.
My only issue with this game is it's all female pantheon. Even in our supposed "Patriarchy", we have both men and women gods, representing what they excell at... Men would be strong and resilient and rule destructive elements, while women would be gentile and fair and govern emotions and healing., (you know, masculine and feminine represented beautifully, completing each other, instead of stealing qualities and competing with each other...) Here, we have a skinny orc lady representing the god of strength and warrios? Why? Don't get me wrong, i absolutely love women in general and have no problem with them ruling and being gods....when it makes sense....but here it just doesn't.... Orcs are supposed to be overly masculine, not betas ruled by women......
Yeah, I play as a Mage always. With magic not easily accessible and then you have guilds like the Inquisition who hate mages, looks like we will have a tough time in this game.

Those are some good and targeted questions, awesome video.
Glad you like them!
This has to be my most anticipated game right now

the fact that the starting island will be more than 3 times bigger than skyrim is exciting
And the fact that you can get a sail boat and sail around!
Imagine modding the game❤❤❤
this is baldurs gate 3 all over again, this will be an amazing game changer for the action RPG genre
Full Version Coming Soon: 20 Minutes After Hell Freezes Over.
Eh, there is a good chance it might not come to fruition, but that's the risk you take with kickstarter projects. We'll see what hapens

I imagine Bethesda doesn't want another game that does better than theirs.

True. Todd Howard is still chafing over Fallout New Vegas.
I'd probably back if there's any guarentee of Proton compatability.
Great video 👏
Glad you enjoyed
its like 700k now.... lets hope it can reach 1 million soon (but the game is off the ground now)

ekkk heck no
For the love of god please please keep Bethesda and Todd Howard out of this project forever!!
Todd: it will have 16 times the lameness
