Bian played the guitar well But he's not the best guitarist. His voice is a simple nasal voice with an octave. He can play the piano a bit, handling the synthesizer is not a big deal. Big respect to Brian for going for it. For me it's beyond about being good, and merely about paying respect in memory of Freddie. It's about singing it anyway, because he'd be looking down in joy regardless.
Actually this is Brians song. Has been released with Queen, but Freddie only sung it on the last album, that was released after his death. The clip has been made with Brian singing and live performance also only done by Brian.
I think not only this is Brian's song, but the meaning of the lyrics are Brian's history. And you can tell by what the voice transmits. IF there's one song that I'd rather hear from Brian singing rather than Freddy, would be this one

For me personally his two best Queen songs (in terms of where you can hear him singing solo) are Who Wants to Live Forever (Brian sings first verse and part of the bridge) and he also sang Too Much Love Will Kill You at the Freddie Mercury Tribute concert in 1992.

All members of Queen were multi talented. Each one of them wrote the songs and lyrics. This one was written by Brian because it's personal to him and what he was going through at the time.
Magnifico Brian! Such emotion. I'm sure in his earlier days, Brian never imagined he would be on a stage with Pavarotti singing together...4:19... I'm sure Freddie was looking down and smiling...now Pavarotti and Freddie are singing with the angels....
Music truly transcends language and culture barriers. Imagine if we could find common ground and reach understanding with each other? Hold a door for someone, say hello, or a simple smile could make the world a more gentle place. We can be better humans on a daily basis with minimal effort. Each of us has loved and lost. Remember that.
I've always loved this song... I knew Brian's version from his solo album before they released the Queen version with Freddie's vocals and actually, i don't like Freddie's version better, although he was and still is my top favourite singer.... I'm always very fond of Brian's version. Brian has a moving voice and he sings well here. The guitar solo is beautiful. Luciano Pavarotti was, well, Pavarotti ! He was ageing there, not in his best shape but he had a special voice... I guess his idea to sing with some pop/rock musicians has helped to spread maybe a bit of light as well on classical music.. a little bit. And Queen did have some classical influences, especially on the first 5 albums...
❤oh Thank God for your performance Brian I never knew what a beautiful voice you have you and Pavarotti's voices are perfectly beautiful ❤️ May God bless you and Pavarotti always 💯💕

Thanks for a fan onsite that wrote the lyrics in two languages, I thought, well Pavarotti is literally an opera singer (few happy operas) and he emoted as the lyrics required. A pro and how cool that he sang with Brian!
I never thought Brian May had such a beautiful voice. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.
Brividi brividi brividi e ancora brividi e lacrime..... Pazzesco 😍😍😍😍 grande Luciano e immenso Brian ♥️♥️♥️
Beautifully done Brian.
I stand with my belief that Dr Brian May is the most talented man on Earth.
Beautiful. Wish Freddie could see this. Well, he can.😢
All members of Queen were multi talented. Each one of them wrote the songs and lyrics. This one was written by Brian because it's personal to him and what he was going through at the time.
Pretty impressive from Brian. Especially that high note he hits at the end
Brian May! Be blessed and many more years in music! Love you and your compositions! 💕💜
Thank you for following my page.thanks for the love and support ❤ ❤❤.May God continue to bless you✌✌✌
I've always loved this song...
❤oh Thank God for your performance
Brian I never knew what a beautiful voice you have you and Pavarotti's voices are perfectly beautiful ❤️ May God bless you and Pavarotti always 💯💕
Brian May a legend! glad I had the chance to meet him.
SEM PALAVRAS.....SIMPLESMENTE FANTÁSTICO!!! MAGNÍFICO....
ABRAÇOS DO BRASIL,
ROSANGELA D'ORO
This is how Queen was so great: this song is amazing and people really dont comment much about it. Underrated and brilliant.
Brian and Roger have done a fantastic job keeping Queen alive with collaborations like this. They only tripped up on the Queen and 5ive collaboration in 2000.
Beatiful
Not sure why Brians vocals are a surprise on this one as he is credited with lead and backing vocals on the original version....
He sang the original just him
