hugh is so funny in all of these interviews. i'm not aware of him ever doing this type of film and he seems to feel out of place in geekdom, but he's adorably doing his best.
I am sooo excited for this friggin movie!!! I had no idea this was happening nor did I expect the trailer to be so cool. This is a movie for me! And my god the cast is incredible!
I've been a fan of Sophia Lillis since It and I've seen all her films and shows. I was pleasantly surprised to see her in the trailer. I had no idea she was in this. XD

That email from Paramount must have been terrifying, because it seemed like everyone was churning through their mental filters before saying ANYTHING. Looking away, lowered volume -- it's like they snuck out to go to a party and are trying to hide it from their parents.
A bard must have incredible knowledge, magical music and should be able to open locks and use magical items.. I hope the character isnt only a joke character
He said he didn't use any particular magic so I'm also a bit worried but it looks like his charms work on other people so yeah. Maybe he was totally ling
A bard doesn't necessarily have to have magical music (though they're often depicted as such). Their primary casting ability is Charisma, so anything you do that's charismatic, whether it be singing, dancing, playing and instrument, speaking, simply exuding confidence, etc. can be used for a bard's spellcasting. Bards are often a lynchpin in a party, because they're the ones that have the charisma to hold everyone together, whether they're actually useful in a fight or not.
I'm looking forward to this but I hope for once Michelle's character isn't killed off. Seems to be a thing in her action movies. Then again, it's D&D, so if/when they resurrect her, it'll be legit this time!

Think it's more how they portray the powers in the film. Vicious mockery, tashas hideous laughter, charm person. Can all be done with the actor just speaking. No flashing lights or whatever.
I curious on Lillis’ character’s race. Horns and tail are generally Tiefling traits. Some have suggested Saytr which fits the Druid class well. However, Saytrs in DND are “party animals” or beings who cherish revelry and I don’t see that in her character in this trailer.
@@stitch3030 I would have respected a faithful design of her look. Something about a flesh tone tail is disturbing to me. But I hope they address the stigma around Tieflings for flavor.

Correct me if I’m wrong , but Aren’t tiefling connected to hell or hades ? I’m not very knowledgeable on tiefling because it’s a race that people barely plays
@@musicbox6144 She is a Druid. Tieflings as a race are a little different it that they can be born from individuals of other races who have made pacts with infernal entities. Some interpretations of it skipping a generation or siblings exist but a Tiefling parent will always spawn a Tiefling child according to Sourcebooks. Essentially it’s a curse that marks a lineage with a connection to the Nine Hells.

Unfortunately the trailer does Not do a great job of reflecting the movie and in fact I think it is misleading. I’m glad that I saw the movie first before I saw the trailer. And yes I love this movie
I have a feeling Chris Pines Bard is gonna just be a joke character. He'll be lvl 1 while everyone else starts at lvl 3 and then level up to 5 by the end and Chris will be lvl.2 or Dead!!! And it will probably be due to the fact that the character is a straight white male
I have to say, the trailer looks good, but watching some of their interviews out of character kind of turns my enthusiasm from the trailer down. I know that actors aren’t big fans of doing promotional stuff, but for some reason I get the feeling that they don’t really respect the original material. Maybe they made a great film, it sure looks like a fun film, but I’m not sure how well they immersed themselves in the lore of the game, or how much they want to immerse themselves in it. I think I’m going to stop watching promotion work and wait for the film itself
I got the same impression, and kinda surprised more people haven't mentioned that. They all seem kind of annoyed to be asked actual D&D related questions about their characters. Hey, it's their job to act though, not necessarily fall in love with the source material. Or maybe they just really don't like these types of interviews/promos in general? Or maybe some of them were baked as fuck? Hard to say...still looking forward to the movie.

I’m one who watched all the promo interviews after seeing the movie and it’s fascinating how the interviews made me appreciate the movie even more-it could just be because their vibes kind of mirror that of their characters (or at least, that of a motley crew of fun characters). But another thing noticed is how they get asked a lot of the same questions, a lot. 😅 Guess they have to keep the junkets feeling fresh somehow. 🤓

100% have powers , rewatch the trailer and you will see a badge on his cape . That small detail shows that he has powers .
