Anyone is better then IGN dude, they are terrible... Gotta say he is a million times better then them; otherwise the question remains wether it was good or just mediocre... It was really good and indepth ING, good job ;)
+Pedropars Yeah, random maps would make this perfect, but the problem would be lack of "wonders" or whatever they're called. But I could live with that honestly, if you still want to buy it, yeah, get it on sale and check if you like it rather than a possible waste of 60 Quid.
I rarely bother with giving a thumbs up on videos, but I gave this a thumbs up because I actually liked this review, your rating system is refreshing, and you're the first TH-camr I've heard say to actually hit the thumbs down if we *didn't* like the review (which shows that you actually care about honest feedback). Well done!
Amazing review. Will definitely be looking to you for more reviews in the future. Very honest and informative review without trying be "hilarious" or "fresh" in a cringe kind of way. Keep up the good work mate!
+Turtoi Radu I really liked Anno 1404, it takes a lot of time to master it though. The Imperator mission is so hard. I liked Anno 1404 over the other newer titles, because of the computer players actually go through the same struggle of building the city. Not like Anno 2070 where they do their own thing for a goal that isn't clear to you, the player. I still play it :D
+Turtoi Radu Loved that game. Actually bought 2070 thinking it would be the same but it wasn't. I wish ANNO would go back to the olden times instead of progressing ahead and eventually we'll be building cities for androids while humans lay dead.
Asjad Hasan Yeah, that kills a lot of its general tone. The Germans have a word for "small cute things wandering about". Can't remember it but it encapsulates the older Anno games, along with Settlers, Cultures and other such city builders. That seems to have gotten lost along with the setting.
Another fantastic review! Surprised to hear about the moments of low frame rate on a 980. Hopefully some driver updates and game updates will help with that. I very much enjoyed anno 2070. It's very good to hear this title is an improvement on the formula.
Finally I find a review that actually goes in depth, and answers the questions you look for when trying to find a good review. You earned a subscribe. Good work +ACG

There is a shortage of tobacco! Your people are starving! ...Anyone? 1602 and 1404 are the best Anno games if you ask me. I just want a 1602 HD remaster, that would set me for a while with Anno. Oh and a Gothic Medieval type setting would be sweet for Anno, thoughts?

To be honest, in every review I see/read I only see grids in terms of roads and layout. This is a major personal gripe I have with games such as this. I just can't enjoy these types of games without the ability to actually mold and shape the way I build. Only being able to create grid layouts is boring beyond belief to me. And the fact that there are no random maps, only increases the lack of customization/replayability. I found this review very informative though. But while the graphics look top-notch, the lack of curved roads and random maps puts this in the 'wait for sale' basket for me. In the mean time, I'll continue to spend way too much time on Cities: Skylines. Hehe.
Really nice review. I realized there was a night mode only after I watched your review. I run a r9 270 and framerates can drag on my custom build as well. I loved the music scores on the moon, it was so solemn and yet so beautiful
You done good.👌 I kept up for the most part while looking at the pretty distractions along the way. I grasp the ideas of First, Second, and Third Dimensional Space and Time. It's budgeting in their Fourth dimensions that makes me see stars.
I had actually allowed the steam comments on this game to make my opinion of it, I'm happy to say that after looking at the game, for the first time, in your review. That I'm quite disappointed with having my opinion made so quickly with not actually being able to experience the game to some degree, which I have had the chance to now through your video. And I think you for that. I'll most likely be buying this game soon now.
Thanks for the review. I have to agree with you that the game looks gorgeous. It's definitely worth keeping an eye on. Also, as an old Carl Barks fan I appreciate the Scrooge McDuck reference.
Fabulous review. I'm glad you enjoyed the game otherwise the review would have been painful. Have no interest in these kinds of games but can appreciate the amount of work/time you put into reviewing this. Keep up your fabulous content. Cheers. Out.
Hi Yeah I agree, they really need to improve the main story make it far more in depth. its not going to have the same replay factor as the other games tho. combat got boring after a few goes. new DLC packs will be out jan 2016 I think so might help with the game play. hopefully they will add some new stuff coz I would hate to see this series fail.I know ive said a lot of negative stuff so let me say there are some really good things about the game. but they same to fail in the same areas they always do. plus the price is beyond a joke £60 wow
I have a long history with the Anno games (It originating from Germany and stuff). Anno 2070 bored me. This one looks more promising. Hmmm. Not now, but i´ll get it. Nice review once more. I enjoy this channel immensely :-)
eatit1212 the performance issue scares me. nvidia had released a driver update for anno though. im done preordering games or getting them on day 1, best wait a month for patches.
+brendameistar It's not unfinished at all. What are you talking about? It is a lot of fun, has everything it needs and so far after playing it for almost a week i have encountered a total of 2 bugs. So what about it is unfinished?
It's near the end of 2017 and with the sales going on, I'm sorely tempted to buy the ultimate edition, but the reviews i've watched haven't really convinced me. So with all the expansions and dlc, is it worth buying or not?
Hey Karak, do you have any opinion on the 3 DLC that followed after this review - If you played them that is? I am thinking of buying the Ultimate edition, as it is around £20 now (including all DLC), but still unsure...although it is good to hear that you think this is a good follow on from 2070 as that was my primary concern that this may not be the case.
1404 was amazing. 2070, I still play it. I've like 800 hours of gameplay on 2070. In my honest opinion, in a review if you are going to talk about playability, you shouldn't think about 20-30 hours or let's say 100 hours to be generous and extreme optimistic. Long-playability should be reviewed upon, +250-300 hours of non-afk playing. And this game, it doesnt have that. you can lose the grip in 8 hours but I'm pretty sure that you will complete the game in next 40 hours which makes 48 hours. Now aside from what you said that it was boring such as combat and persistent quests. Would you play this, non-changing, no random, dull game with only Eye-Candy graphics another 6 times over to complete this 300 hour I'm talking about. Because if not. I think playability should be out of the window and you need to tell it in open so people wont pay 60-70 dollars to a non deserving game. Honestly if I had free 100 dollars right now. I would buy anno 2070-1404 over and over until my money is depleted. Game is not actualy a city builder or sandbox, its a city planner. In the same space with the same amount of time, how well you can put the same buildings to get the peak efficency. Which is more of a math problem instead of a video game in my opinion (no offense to math its just the way I wanted to say it). I'll give a thumbs up because you did a marvelous review, except the points I made above. But honestly, there are hardly any good games or companies we can trust anymore. Bethesta is gone, Ubisoft is gone, Im not mentioning EA, 2k is shaking and so on. It's the job of the reviewers, commentaries job to criticize this companies about what they are doing, and by that, I mean I think there needs to be a harsher criticism. Ubisoft dumped all of us on 2070 they left the boat when there were still people onboard. They will do the same with anno 2205 I promise you. The game itself is the proof of their inability to make anything good anymore. And companies like this should be adressed harshly because they are feeding from the unknowing or uninformed casual gamer population unlike us. I didnt buy this game because I made a great deal of research on it. I knew the brand. I knew what they used to do and what they are now, and I was right. But many people didnt do that and now anno 2205 channel on steam is filled with angry people who couldnt get a refund. But nevertheless, thanks again. Just be harsher, if you actualy care about the people who are listening to your voice. Because people should be led to games which they will have fun, and also should be led to companies who work hard to achieve what they have promised, and fund them instead of this eye candy money soakers ^^
I never taught an Anno game can crush my expectation so much, when the sweet memories of Anno 1404 is still in me, compared to the previous Annos, this is a shallow bag of asses, it looks good, runs exceptionally, but its for DUMMIES its so dumbed down is probably age 6+ because there is no micromanagement basically they took everything that made Anno Anno, its basically, build more houses to get more people, ohh more people, build more food and drink, wow you unlocked a new building, now go do some mindless boring bullcrap side-quest to not die of border after the spell of fancy graphics ware off after 3-4 hours i felt like i know everything this game can offer and its shit... On the note im not here to offend anyone, if you liked the game im happy for you, i wish i did too, its felt like the new SimCity crap EA pulled... this game feels so dumbed down , it could be run on tablets cause there inst much you can do..... no online no skirmish... this is NOT Anno to me... as a big Anno fan Gonna install Anno 1404....again for the 235325 time
+Barilon Zermasimo It was simplified because you have to run at least three different sectors without giving you a heart attack, remember everything happens in real time, goods go up, resources go down in *all* sectors, therefore, if it was similar to previous annos you'd have to sit there staring at your resource tab while waiting to see if it rends up, or down, and in that time your other city would be in ashes. Perhaps it's just because it's so different, but now it is aimed a a different audience, it is a more casual game as opposed to what it used to be, I agree, 1404 is better, but 2205 is still decent.
+Barilon Zermasimo You are so right...to think that i have the Collectors Edition...i was/am a bit disappointed...I liked the commerce in Anno 2070...I could run that game at max settings with Asus GTX 760 2gb...now i even changed my GPU(Asus GTX 980 Matrix Platinum 4gb) to find out it was not GPU related that my game lags or video ram for that matter...the graphics are nice but not worth the time if everything needs to be loaded...There's no smooth gameplay..
I must say, probably as only one I totally love combat in this game :) no sarcasm, I find it somehow intersting so these combat mission I usually after 30 - 60 minutes just jump into the combat missions :)
My main issue is that the military aspect is shallow and separated from the rest. Anno 2070's combat was not as good as it could've been, but it was a part of the game. It had an impact on the rest of the game and vise versa.
Wow thanks for this review, I've been thinking of picking this up actually. Is it good for people new to city building games? If I decide to get this it will be my first city building game
If there's a memory leak issue then I;m going to pin the blame on both poor optimization and the fact Ubisoft is going to release it on the PS4 later on thanks to Amazon information.
I like this game the whole story of it and being under the Global Union I think it's called and the rivarly with the other corporations. I don't always do the combat but it is their and even if you dont do them your fleet size does increase regardless but the combat is there for those that want it. I like the artic region when you unlock that and you have too worry about the heat factor adds a little more strategy about what your upgrading and what not, I havnt been to the moon yet I have started over once but I myself do enjoy it. I do really want to play Anno 1800 the new one but at like 60.00$ nooo I will wait for it to go on sale.
Gotta say, played 4 hours and it felt abysmal, especially the ship portions were awful. If you REALLY want a scifi-Anno, then play this, but if you want a GOOD Anno-game, play the earlier ones.
+Oipon Anno 2070 would be good aswell, if someone looks for the futuristic setting. Other than that i would agree with your view of point ... Anno 2205 doesnt seem to give the same complex strategic gameplay you had in other Anno-Titles.
These games just kind of confuse me. What exactly is this game? Is there a way to simply play a mode with no quests where you just build cities and what not? Or is this all quest driven?
+Jake Rindfleisch In the other titles you could do that, but in this one, not yet, I think they should add a mode where you don't have quests at all, except for the random ones you want for goods.
+Jake Rindfleisch The Quests tell you what to do next to progress. But there is no need to heed to them. You can just ignore them completely if you wish and just do what you want.
Anno is one of my favourite game titles out there, yes, partially ruined by always online, but not anywhere near as bad as some other games. But it's very much a marmite situation, either you love it, or you hate it, because if you're in the middle, you don't enjoy it so you never play it, and thus begin to hate it.
the game get annoying after a few hours because of the need to change location to get certain things to keep going, eventually it feels a little to much like work...it does look good but its the same buildings over and over
Most of his complaints based on his cpu? BTW the quest(rewards) are actually needed for upgrading factories which is definitely required lategame. Anyways its a decent game. Very enjoyable city builder, not so much militairy-strategic. Wait for sale.
+TroublingStatueVII Probably star war 2 made mars radioactive. XD Disclaimer: Star War is my own original franchise and has no relation to Star Wars, gtfo Lucas and Mickey Mouse.
+TroublingStatueVII Good point. I watched an interview with the devs ages ago and they seemed complete astro-noobs, detailing how they had to learn about extra terrestrial matters. I guess one should start with an already good knowledge base, on which longer shot ideas will then take form.
***** What knowledge base? No one knows when what moon or planet will be colonized, the moon being colonized in 2205 is as legit as Uranus in 2369...and sorry. lol
***** Yo, I can´t fuck off, doing some serious science here. Just found out if you probe Uranus too hard it begins to ramble some incoherent bullshit. XDDD
+AngryCentaurGaming Oh, nevermind, It's "Buy, Wait for Sale, Rent, Never Touch" and It's a "Buy" score. Thank you. *Sorry, cause I'm new to your channel. Now I'm your new fan.
I've played 4 hours today... Do I need help? xD Edit: Anyone noticed how dumb 1 or 2 ships are during fighting? Like you click to destroy a mine, instead of one of the ships firing at the mines, they sail right over it?
i could play on max settings on a gtx 960 at 1280x1024, i have an i5-4460 and 12hb ram. i got a steady 30fps. when i set it one preset lower i got 45fps
red neon instead of blue isnt really tron stylings thats like every single vs game for some reason. in a strat game it always seems to be red vs blue lol
AngryCentaurGaming yeh ik what tron is. and games back then had color to lol. the point was it was said they "barrow tron styling and have red neon on their submarines instead of blue" when its a very common of strategy games to have the side your against colored red and the side you are on colored blue. So its not really barrowing tron styling with red neon instead of blue thats just how rts games tend to color their units for whatever reason. and its more than rts games but i mostly see it in rts games. but halo had it as well with there being a red and blue team.
AngryCentaurGaming hard to believe but not impossible to believe. never would have thought it stemmed from a movie. ive always wanted to dig more into the rvb history
+sithalo Ya its interesting. Don Daglow who made the first RTS ever and Sims games ever also worked with fellows from Disney and worked together with them on an Intellivision sharing technology contract. And then a year or so later created Disks of Tron as well as 2 other Tron specific titles and that color spectrum was used and grew in his RTS games from that point on as well as those he teacherdor had on his Blue Sky Team.
+StrifeRaider I can easily live without MP. I cannot however live without being able to start a random map with a choice of settings I want to play though. That is not an option in the game. This is what gave 2070 such replay-ability. Completely gone.
Sadly, your either playing the "scenario" over and over or not at all. You can adjust the difficulty, but that's simply not the massive amount of freedom you had in 2070.
If you're looking for the best Anno game get Anno 1701 from GOG.com. It's $10 and DRM free, plus it uses the true Anno formula. Anno 2205 is watered down for the mainstream market.
RuLeZ1988 Yeah, 2070 is better for a more active game, because you need to be quicker, and military is a bigger aspect, but 1404 is better for a casual city builder because the later buildings slot together so well it's ridiculous.
When will you reviewers learn, massive ai, strategy games ect are not GPU bound. Don't speak of your GPU and how it wasn't enough, notice your own words. "Draw Distance" and "Shader" is all CPU bound settings ^^ that's why those are the only ones making massive difference when you tone it down. Please remember, people might buy a 800 dollar card thinking it will help XD. Other than that good review :)
Really surprised you haven't complained about the anachronistic 90-degree road and building rotation increment. Perhaps you haven't played the other 159 Anno games before so as to get sick of the same mechanic reskinned? I understand that they're going for a specific game mechanic but a 45 degree increment (a la SimCity 4) would be nostalgic and polished at the same time. Just look at the fucking zig-zaggy roads trying to approximate a diagonal over there. Fucking Ubisoft.
AngryCentaurGaming Sorry then I must have missed it. Fair enough. I still can't get over the primitive 90 degree rotation though, as the cities don't look as organic as they could with e.g. 45 degree (in my opinion).
Just bought the game, the patch wont update and after 2 hours of messing around I still cant play this game. Beware of UPlay, I will never buy anything from UB Soft again.
I wonder if they put that name so american and british people would say "Ano" (which means ass in spanish... in fact in means asshole) instead of "año" (which means year)... that's the correct pronunciation (asuming this word it's a variation from the Latin).
10x better than IGN review. So in-depth.
Thanks Rick
Anyone is better then IGN dude, they are terrible... Gotta say he is a million times better then them; otherwise the question remains wether it was good or just mediocre... It was really good and indepth ING, good job ;)
Lack of random maps is kind off a deal-breaker to me,gonna pick this on a sale eventually.
+Pedropars Yeah, random maps would make this perfect, but the problem would be lack of "wonders" or whatever they're called. But I could live with that honestly, if you still want to buy it, yeah, get it on sale and check if you like it rather than a possible waste of 60 Quid.

AngryCentaurGaming My pleasure.
This game is so different from the original Anno games. I don't know if I'm gonna buy it even when 1404 is the best game I've ever played.
+Zeus54321 2205 is different in many ways, but it is simpler, while more difficult, I would say it is more a marmite situation than ever.
Amazing review. Will definitely be looking to you for more reviews in the future. Very honest and informative review without trying be "hilarious" or "fresh" in a cringe kind of way. Keep up the good work mate!
+Nicolai Marcher thanks so much man appreciate that
Just bought Anno 1404 recently at a discount. I prefer that setting anyway.
+Turtoi Radu i played 1404 for years, best anno ever. good call pal.
Great game, you'll get a lot of hours from it.
+Turtoi Radu I really liked Anno 1404, it takes a lot of time to master it though. The Imperator mission is so hard. It is stunning. My favorite visual presentation in a game of its type.
Music from Blue Byte is always great too.

Not worth it man, amazing graffics yeah, but not a good game, I still prefer the anno 2070
So do I (especially when it comes to architectural design).
Is there a anno 1602 remake or something close to that..
im just happy 1800 went back to the old way like 1404 2070 etc... beta was really good imo

Love your reviews mate. Please keep doing more. There's a lot of PC games still not covered!
On the note im not here to offend anyone, if you liked the game im happy for you, i wish i did too, its felt like the new SimCity crap EA pulled... this game feels so dumbed down , it could be run on tablets cause there inst much you can do..... no online no skirmish... this is NOT Anno to me... as a big Anno fan
Gonna install Anno 1404....again for the 235325 time
+Barilon Zermasimo It was simplified because you have to run at least three different sectors without giving you a heart attack, remember everything happens in real time, goods go up, resources go down in *all* sectors, therefore, if it was similar to previous annos you'd have to sit there staring at your resource tab while waiting to see if it rends up, or down, and in that time your other city would be in ashes. Perhaps it's just because it's so different, but now it is aimed a a different audience, it is a more casual game as opposed to what it used to be, I agree, 1404 is better, but 2205 is still decent.
+Barilon Zermasimo That's just so wrong i'm not even going to comment on it.
+EskChan19 you just did
+Cameron McAllister fair points there, i wish people would start modding it and adding more to it
+Barilon Zermasimo You are so right...to think that i have the Collectors Edition...i was/am a bit disappointed...I liked the commerce in Anno 2070...I could run that game at max settings with Asus GTX 760 2gb...now i even changed my GPU(Asus GTX 980 Matrix Platinum 4gb) to find out it was not GPU related that my game lags or video ram for that matter...the graphics are nice but not worth the time if everything needs to be loaded...There's no smooth gameplay..
This video was very well put together. Well done.
Hey Mr. ACG.... That's the way you review a game.. simply outstanding.!! , you've just gain a new follower. :-)
Thanks for the great reviews , as always.
+Rodrigo Arellano You bet Rodrigo
I'm not sure if I liked your review because it was that good (which it was) or because you almost literally phrased my thoughts. :)
+Mateusz Cetnar lol
You're my #1 go to reviewer. Better than IGN Gamespot Angry Joe and all the rest in my eyes
+jack knott Thanks jack
great review man. could you talk about or review the ps plus releases each month?
+Atlas Slates Sorry man. I don't have the time for cover monthlys. Its just me by myself.
It's on sale through Steam for $20 (or $30) for the Gold Edition. Is it worth that tag?
Great review ... and thanks for sharing. I have just ordered this game for my pc because I love building games.
Good review, I saw a few on your channel lately, decided to sub.
I must say, probably as only one I totally love combat in this game :) no sarcasm, I find it somehow intersting so these combat mission I usually after 30 - 60 minutes just jump into the combat missions :)
whoa, youve really upgraded your audio since this video lol
My main issue is that the military aspect is shallow and separated from the rest. Anno 2070's combat was not as good as it could've been, but it was a part of the game. It had an impact on the rest of the game and vise versa.
+Gergely Kozar ya its odd to say the least
the best Anno 2205 review out there.
Wow thanks for this review, I've been thinking of picking this up actually. Is it good for people new to city building games? If I decide to get this it will be my first city building game
+ms00kye If you pay attentin to the little tutorials its a great first time game
Anno 2205 doesnt seem to give the same complex strategic gameplay you had in other Anno-Titles.
this is the kind of visual Cities Skylines needs, and this game needs the complexity of Cities Skylines...
Good review format.
+J Merc thanks merc
These games just kind of confuse me. What exactly is this game? Is there a way to simply play a mode with no quests where you just build cities and what not? Or is this all quest driven?
+Jake Rindfleisch In the other titles you could do that, but in this one, not yet, I think they should add a mode where you don't have quests at all, except for the random ones you want for goods.
+Jake Rindfleisch The Quests tell you what to do next to progress. But there is no need to heed to them. You can just ignore them completely if you wish and just do what you want.
Great very logical understandable review. Thank you.
+Ronald Montes thank you ronald
The problem with this fucking game is that its too fucking beautiful that I want to jump inside my motherfucking monitor and live there.
+Jc Cordova lol
Anno is one of my favourite game titles out there, yes, partially ruined by always online, but not anywhere near as bad as some other games. But it's very much a marmite situation, either you love it, or you hate it, because if you're in the middle, you don't enjoy it so you never play it, and thus begin to hate it.
This looks like great fun. I don't know if it is worth the asking price though.
+Steven Lornie I agree, I'm waiting for black Friday ;)
Awesome review man!
Thumbed up by reflex when I heard Karak reference a Cray computer.
+Groaznic Boom!
the game get annoying after a few hours because of the need to change location to get certain things to keep going, eventually it feels a little to much like work...it does look good but its the same buildings over and over
Most of his complaints based on his cpu? BTW the quest(rewards) are actually needed for upgrading factories which is definitely required lategame.
Anyways its a decent game. Very enjoyable city builder, not so much militairy-strategic. Wait for sale.
Thank you for the review!
+Roberto Peris You bet
Very good review! Cant wait to buy it!
+Ryan Fieldflower Thanks so much Ryan
Keep it up! Cant wait to see more. Thnx again
Having just played for a bit, I have to say, the framerate is lower than it should be, and the combat is simply awkward. It does look nice though.
Played a handful of hours on it now, it is pretty good!
+kozzy420420 Ya I enjoyed it
Wait. If the game is set in the year 2205, why do you only go as far as the Moon?(or am I missing something) Great review.(as awlays)
+TroublingStatueVII Probably star war 2 made mars radioactive. XD
Disclaimer: Star War is my own original franchise and has no relation to Star Wars, gtfo Lucas and Mickey Mouse.
No one knows when what moon or planet will be colonized, the moon being colonized in 2205 is as legit as Uranus in 2369...and sorry. lol
***** It's an underwhelming zero-ambition goal. Fuck off, I'm sick of hearing apologists of mediocre condition and imagination.
***** Yo, I can´t fuck off, doing some serious science here.
Just found out if you probe Uranus too hard it begins to ramble some incoherent bullshit. XDDD
Still, I'll give it a few months, just 'till they've fixed most of the bugs.
AngryCentaurGaming, you are the best.
+CosmicNIO Thanks Cosmi
No DRM in sight? What's uPlay then? According to the Steam page it's 3rd. party DRM but what do they know?
In terms of replayability, anno 1404 or this?
+detectedspy 1404 probably
Do you have final verdict, ACG?
+Blue Domino Above the one I give in the video?
+AngryCentaurGaming Oh, nevermind, It's "Buy, Wait for Sale, Rent, Never Touch" and It's a "Buy" score. Thank you.
*Sorry, cause I'm new to your channel. Now I'm your new fan.
I've played 4 hours today... Do I need help? xD
Edit: Anyone noticed how dumb 1 or 2 ships are during fighting? Like you click to destroy a mine, instead of one of the ships firing at the mines, they sail right over it?
i could play on max settings on a gtx 960 at 1280x1024, i have an i5-4460 and 12hb ram. i got a steady 30fps. when i set it one preset lower i got 45fps
red neon instead of blue isnt really tron stylings thats like every single vs game for some reason. in a strat game it always seems to be red vs blue lol
+sithalo Uhm. Tron. The movie from the early 80's before there were games with color.
+sithalo Correct its because of Tron.
Looks really good. Too bad it is tied into U(Don't)Play, especially on top of Steam, GOG, and Origin.
the only thing this game needed to be fun was combat within your cities maps so you could lose stuff of value and it needs randomised maps
i have a r9 390x 1080p on very high setting lowest fps i have had was 30 fps just to let you know
No multiplayer? no buy for me :( I loved doing this with others, not so much alone.
+StrifeRaider I can easily live without MP. I cannot however live without being able to start a random map with a choice of settings I want to play though. That is not an option in the game. This is what gave 2070 such replay-ability. Completely gone.
4tech69 are you serious? they removed that aswel?
Sadly, your either playing the "scenario" over and over or not at all. You can adjust the difficulty, but that's simply not the massive amount of freedom you had in 2070.
+StrifeRaider I know right. I hope they find a good way to put multiplayer function in the game
4tech69 then this game is going on my "not recommended" list >.< that is just a real shame
If you're looking for the best Anno game get Anno 1701 from GOG.com. It's $10 and DRM free, plus it uses the true Anno formula. Anno 2205 is watered down for the mainstream market.
+Kr00lplatinum 1404 is the best in my opinion.
+Cameron McAllister I like 1404 and 2070. One with vintage the other with futuristic atmosphere.
RuLeZ1988 Yeah, 2070 is better for a more active game, because you need to be quicker, and military is a bigger aspect, but 1404 is better for a casual city builder because the later buildings slot together so well it's ridiculous.
This or Anno 2070?
Anno 2205...
Got bored to death after one hour
huge let down
its anno 1404 for me
1:54 1920p? Haha. I think you meant 1080p.
Lord Jaraxxus Seriously? They list resolutions by the horizontal number of pixels ?
how are people fps going with this and what specs?
can i use the key on steam if i buy it on mmoga?
Looks like PlanetSide, the sandbox
When will you reviewers learn, massive ai, strategy games ect are not GPU bound. Don't speak of your GPU and how it wasn't enough, notice your own words. "Draw Distance" and "Shader" is all CPU bound settings ^^ that's why those are the only ones making massive difference when you tone it down. Please remember, people might buy a 800 dollar card thinking it will help XD. Other than that good review :)
This on console?
I wish you wernt forced to place certain structures in designated places
Really surprised you haven't complained about the anachronistic 90-degree road and building rotation increment. Perhaps you haven't played the other 159 Anno games before so as to get sick of the same mechanic reskinned? I understand that they're going for a specific game mechanic but a 45 degree increment (a la SimCity 4) would be nostalgic and polished at the same time. Just look at the fucking zig-zaggy roads trying to approximate a diagonal over there. Fucking Ubisoft.
+Groaznic I did'. Didn't bother me at all. I did discuss it when talking about the tile mending.
AngryCentaurGaming Sorry then I must have missed it. Fair enough. I still can't get over the primitive 90 degree rotation though, as the cities don't look as organic as they could with e.g. 45 degree (in my opinion).
lol how did you have low FPS I had constant 60 fps with max settings on a R9 290
+JustinAkaDeadstuff its an unoptomized game. Thats how pc works
AngryCentaurGaming if it was not optimised how can I have 60 fps ?
Just bought the game, the patch wont update and after 2 hours of messing around I still cant play this game. Beware of UPlay, I will never buy anything from UB Soft again.
awesome review
I wonder if they put that name so american and british people would say "Ano" (which means ass in spanish... in fact in means asshole) instead of "año" (which means year)... that's the correct pronunciation (asuming this word it's a variation from the Latin).
+Francisco Arcos They probably just want people to like their game and don't care to much.
+Francisco Arcos I think it's the actual Latin word 'Anno' used.
qwakcookie that's correct.
