- More info about travel to Andalucía: www.ricksteves.com/europe/spai... Spaniards know Ronda, one of the White Hill Towns of Andalucía, as the cradle of modern bullfighting and for its stunning cliffside location. Strolling the back streets, you feel a strong local pride and sense of community where mingling over delicious tapas is a time-honored tradition. #ricksteveseurope #spain #andalucia

Thanks for this Mr. Steves! I'm studying Spain in university and I'm doing a group project all about Ronda. I love seeing the gorge. What a beautiful town.

Go to Ronda! I love it and it's not growded and clean air. The view from the bridge are great too.
Rick Stevens excellent video as allways,

Long time ago.....nice memories
Interesting bit of history.
@CroMarduk Yes. But that's because we can't just travel around from city to city all the time... I wish we could. I'm certainly doing as much exploring as I can.
I used to watch your show on PBS.

iwant to go here
Scenic
I love it because my love name is Randa
If you're here to research an upcoming trip, fyi we just went to Ronda 2 weeks ago (May 2019) and the mansion & stairs to the water were closed. The mansion was being gutted. The town had huge busloads of tourists. Beware the 2.5 euro ticket to descend the stairs on the main bridge. It only leads to a little room with a video playing on loop. That said, the restaurants on the main tourist strip were surprisingly good.
I took a road trip there once while on vacation in malaga.... what sucked though that it was 37.5 celcius that day... did not exactly enjoy it
This video doesn’t do justice to the views from the bridge.
I love it because my love name is randa
Hey Steve, what was the name of that modern tapas bar you visited, we're staying in Rhonda in June 2015, the food looked delicious.
Jeff Gilmore wondering the name of that same Tapa bar too...if you found out let me know..heading there this weekend.
Haven't found out yet but if you find it let me know,I'm there in June.
That modern tapas bar is Tragatapas. You can find more travel details about this and other sites we visit in this show on our website: www.ricksteves.com/watch-read-listen/video/tv-show/andalucia-gibraltar-and-tangier
Thank you Rick, can't wait to try it out, will also checkout your website.
