I really love getting art books! I buy them through kickstarter or other instructional books. I just "use" them too little? I go through them once or twice and then land on my bookshelf, while I should go back to them more often I think! How do you use your books after the first time?
Hi! I have a copy of the sketching fantasy and the mythical beats books and they are both brilliant. I’ll definitely look into creating stylised characters book. :)
I bought an art book full of colorful painting through Kickstarter recently but I was disappointed, the art book and the rest of the prints that came along with it are dark you barely see the details.
That sounds disappointing to receive. Thankfully not all projects creators run on Kickstarter are like that so I hope it doesn't ruin your experience. Most of my favorite art books are from Kickstarter projects.
@@naomivandoren What is annoying me is, the ”review book version” had better print color and vibrancy than ours it felt like the publishing company is cheating. Can I ask which company/website publisher do you use or have good experience with?
I was a bit disappointed by the “creating stylised character” the majority is about project and exemple. The first section where they explain how to create characters is way too short

I just wish art could be done without naked females. There was one in the fantasy creature book 😒 that shouldnt be an entry level learned aspect.
