No matter the interest rate or price of the house you can’t compare paying someone else’s mortgage (renting) vs paying your own mortgage. I’d still pay my own mortgage vs someone else. Especially if you guys can afford it BUT I would say don’t settle find your dream home it can take months. Search everyday all day. God will bless you guys w/your dream home 🙌🏼☃️⛄️
Interest rates right now are high but it’s not looking like they will ever get back to the way they used to at least not for a long time. Also down payments are good to have but if not needed is always best to give the bare minimum then once you start paying on the house pay more on the principal with the amount you planned to giving down! Helps you out sooo much!!!
You should look more into the house buying process yes the interest sounds crazy right now but by renting you’re basically throwing all that money away where as in owning the money is yours, when you sell the equity is yours. You can always refinance your home to a lower interest rate when the rates go down. Hope that helps a bit! Love the pod!

They can also pay extra each month/annually and pay the home off faster. It also saves you on interest.
The mortgage payments are already high each month I don’t see how anyone can pay above the principal. Plus all of the bills/ repairs that comes with owning. Also, in order to refinance your house has to increase in value after a certain amount of time etc.
@@angelicalopez7330 It’s as simple as an extra payment a year that can make the difference. I had a 30yr loan and paid my house off in 16 yrs. A bit extra each payment towards the principal and an extra mortgage payment a year towards the principal makes a huge difference.

Hey spill the beans! About the vacuums, I really wanted to hop onto the Dyson bandwagon but my husband did LOADS of research on them. So Dyson and shark are really bad because they make their vacuums almost impossible to fix on your own if any part gets messed up causing you to spend more. We decided to buy a sebo, they are made in Germany and instead of filters they have bags which is so much easier to clean. It is $800 but so worth it in the long run because you have a 10 yr warranty whereas with the other cheap vacuums you’d be replacing every two years. We’re very happy with it maybe yall should check it out!⛄️
I have a Dyson cordless going on 6 years and it’s been so so good to me. It was under $400 I say that’s a pretty good deal. If this one goes out I’ll be getting another one. I’m never picking up a broom for my interior floors.
If you have Costco get it there cause the return policy there is the best in case, but love ours

Yes home ownership & renting both have its pros & cons. Just remember when you’re buying a new construction home property taxes will not be accurate until a year later ☃️☃️❄️
Team Hydrojug I agree with some comments, don't let it scare you that much you can always refinance into a lower interest rate, another thing to know is that every year the property taxes go up and it sucks there's other things that you need to take in consideration but i sure am grateful we have our home and that we bought when we did! Good luck with your home journey, aganlo cuando esten listos not because of other people, but know that you won't regret buying because of the equity that will be getting higher, you won't ever loose. ☃

It’s all about perspective, I understand you think you’re getting taken advantage of because of the economy with buying a house. Butttttt let me tell you something! If you have the means to buy a house now, look for it and buy it! Rates will eventually go down. Once they do, you refinance to a lower rate. By then you will have gained equity on your house! Instead of waiting and waiting and losing more time it’s best to just do it now and the process for a refinance is way faster and easier! It’s all about perspective. Also new construction/builder is always a little trickier not always the best option for a first time home buyer. But buying a home is the best investment you will ever make😉

As a second time mom of two boys i can say the second child gets the end out the stick. I definitely felt more relaxed with my second and felt like i enjoyed more time with my second than with my first. But my second was just like bellen so chill he wouldn’t cry much until he learned how to walk🫠. Hope bellen continues to be calm and chill like franco. Fyi you guys are doing an amazing job with both🫶🏼❤️☃️⛄️
Jonathan describing the view makes me sad you guys changed your mind 🥲 in Cali we get SO USED to driving a minimum of 15 min to get anywhere lol. I don’t consider anything under 45min a long commute. Blanca is attached to the sentimental value of your city. You need some acceptance and detach psychologically to the city. It’s super rare for big things to be 10min away lol
Good decision. No reason for y’all to feel rushed about anything . At the end of the day, we don’t take the material things with us when we die. What you guys have, the family aspect and love, is far more important.

This was my husband and I renting for four years then my dad talked to my husband and I and told us how we were not going to get nowhere unless we bought something for us thank goodness we listened to him!! we just paid off our mortgage and we are not even 40 yet I know it’s scary but it is well worth it in the long run good luck guys love listening to your podcasts!❤

Look into buying points 👀 ask the builder or your relator. This will help but it is pricy soo yea.. check it out.. my favorite quote form a finance person I know is “Taxs and interest will be your ruin” well that is if you don’t know how to play their game too. You can lower the interest you pay by paying ahead and/or making bigger payment ON THE PRINCIPLE !

I feel you guys on the whole house situation. Found out i was pregnant when my fiancee and i moved out of state which kinda forced us to move back home closer to family. Lets just say having a baby and buying a home all in the same year is A LOT but it was necessary for us. I think the word you were looking for is appraised? Each year a property can be appraised at a higher or lower value, depending on the condition of it & other external factors. Completely understand Blanca backing out on the house. I moved to an area farther from my job & at the beginning I was like oh yeah I don’t mind the drive but now It’s TIRING. Johnathan I think the word you’re looking for is “Amortization.” Usually it’s a schedule that lays out your payment and how much of your payment goes to interest and how much goes to principal (aka actually paying down your house). So with the high interests you’re making payments but most of it is just going to pay interest and not the actual house loan down. ⛄️ ☃️
