I have done it before but with my 16 year old Icelandic horse who has done it 100 times and absolutely doesn’t care about it but i would have never done it on my 11 year old he is just crazy just like Bear so respect ✊🏻😊
I used to do it at least a few times a year, because my riding club for their last show of the year, always had a showjumping bareback class and it was so much fun! The jumps went higher than like 60 cm, and for the jump off it was 70 cm, but still really really fun, just racing through that course! 😂 now though, i cant do it because my 17.2 darling of a horse is way worse at spooking than Bear and i dont feel like dying 😂 I would love to try it out one day, but he definitely needs to have been written for 2 weeks striaght before i do get on bareback.
If I wasn't across the ocean in a pandemic I would be brave (read: stupid) enough to try Bear-Bear Bareback. She looks comfier than my shark-finned withered warmblood... I do also find that he takes care of me more and makes smarter choices with poles and the like when we are bareback, so Bear might feel similarly.

My welsh D was very similar to Bear (not quite as dramatic over a fence thank god) with an experienced and confident rider she'd bounce sideways bunny hop exploded into fences etc but as soon as you put a child or a nervous person on her she became Mrs Bombproof and really looked after them
