- In my efforts to learn as much as I can about grunge, I never knew there was a post-grunge movement and how impactful the Seattle scene really was. Candlebox is completely new to me, and I can see why "Far Behind" was put on my list, and why it's considered grunge adjacent!
Join professional opera singer Elizabeth Zharoff, as she listens to Candlebox for the first time, performing "Far Behind”.

This entire CD is amazing! So many memories attached to this. I miss the 90s ❤
Ditto.
One of my favs.
I miss the 90s as well, minus the 28k/56k Dialup, wish we had current internet. Don't mind Landlines though. 🤣🤣
I couldn't agree more. 😁
We had such great music then!!! I find myself going back to it all the time.
I feel like Candlebox is such an underappreciated band. They have so many good tracks!
First album went quadruple platinum. Second album “Lucy” went platinum. Tough to give them the under appreciated label at that point. Not to mention Candlebox had a tune featured on the tv series “Homicide: Life on the Street.” I believe it was the song “Change”.
So no, not even close to being under appreciated.
@@brokl26 I just don't ever hear people talk about them like Nirvana or Soundgarden or other grunge/post grunge bands. I don't doubt that they were popular in their heyday but, much like Collective Soul, people don't talk about them or bring their songs up as examples of great 90's rock.
@ I’m not a fan of Collective Soul. I also don’t dig on most Grunge bands. Candlebox was a great rock band. Zero bad songs. Maybe I disagree with you because they were so massive at one point. The problem is Grunge finally hit a wall and died off, a quick death and bands like Candlebox were grouped with Grunge, though Candlebox was much more. I still listen to them on a weekly basis. Great music. Every genre reaches a tipping point.
And I’m an old 80s Metal Head, class of ‘86. Good music is good music.
@@bbqR0ADK1LLCollective Soul is criminally underrated.
I saw Candlebox in very small concert venue with Seven Mary Three. Both were absolutely amazing and both deserve more recognition.
@@bbqR0ADK1LL Imo...People talk about Candlebox more than Soul Asylum or Mad Season.
This song is a tribute to Andrew Wood lead singer to Mother Love Bone. Alice In Chains also did a tribute song to him titled “Would” that you should check out if you haven’t already!!
the project Temple of the Dog is also a tribute to him
Changes would have been an awesome song as well
So didnt War Babies with Blue Tomorrow, another Washington band & we all know about Temple of the Dog.
I didn’t even see your comment and I said the same thing!
@@Shadow0fd3ath24Temple of the Dog is also what got Vedder, Ament, Gossard, and McCready on the same recording for the first time. I didn’t realize for a long time that Temple of the Dog predated Pearl Jam.
My jaw dropped seeing this pop up. Never in a million years would I think you'd react to one of my favorite bands. So awesome.
Saw them about 15 years ago at Penns Landing in Philly (with Local H) after being huge fans of theirs in high school (grad 2000) and they were still amazing. Please do “you” and “cover me” too!!!
same here
Ditto.
@@edub0381I'm from Seattle yet saw them open for Rush at the Spectrum
Saw them last year and the year before with bush jerry cantrell and 3 doors down
“You” is by far his best vocal. Would love to hear a review on that one.
So doesn't Come Home. The acoustic ballards usually in my opinion bring out the best. You cant hide a thing when everyrhing is stripped down.
A MILLION times YES. Dang this whole album was so good.
Love that song
You is my favorite track by them.
Best album ever. It flows more perfectly from track to track than any album before or since.
One of the most underrated guitar solos of the 90s. The song rarely gets brought up now a days but when you hear it you're like "yeah this song kicks a$$!" and since it was during the era where solos were starting to be phased out of mainstream rock to hear one so emotive and soulful it stands out.
This guitar solo won "Best Solo of the Year" in Guitar World Magazine in 1994. Peter Klett is one of the most under rated guitarits ever. I'm a huge fan!
The song is about his friendship (and breakdown of that friendship) with Andy Wood (of Mother Love Bone). When Andy started doing Heroin their friendship broke down and Kevin pushed Andy away and said some things that he regretted. Originally the 'now maybe' was meant to be 'Andy I didn't mean to treat you bad' but it was changed in the recording studio so it wasn't so obvious.
By 1994 I feel like a lot of bands came up that no longer emulated the early 90s Seattle grunge sound. So post grunge or alternative is what I heard. Remembering bands like Live, Bush, REM, Collective Soul, Weezer and Gin Blossoms brings me back.
More alternative please!
LIVE is so under rated and forgotten,
Weezer?? Boooo 🥱👎
R.E.M predates grunge by nearly 10 years 😉
Murmur came out in 1983
That whole album is amazing. One of my all time favs. Underrated.
Same! It's such an under-appreciated album. It really is one of my favorite all time albums
it's not underrated though. This album went 4x Platinum in Sales in the USA and Gold in Canada. For a debut band album it sold well. 🤣🤣
Several times in my life, for long periods, this album has been on repeat in my various vehicles.
@@aTofuJunkie I think because more people mention Pearl Jam or Nirvana or Stone Temple Pilots or whatever. Candlebox is often forgotten with those names
Candlebox - “Change”, “You” and “Blossom” are 3 others I really like.
To this day, I am still amazed on the amount of amazing music that came out during this era. That was relevant then and relevant now.
Thank you for this walk down memory lane.
@@mikewatts1533 Music is timeless.....
Honestly
Their legacy remains tied to their impactful debut and their ability to maintain a loyal fanbase across decades. Yet, it's hard not to wonder why they remain so criminally underrated.
Courtney Love trashing them in Rolling Stone as posers and usurpers, saying they just moved to Seattle to be part of the scene when they had, in fact, lived in the area for well over a decade. Unfortunately, it stuck in spite of being a complete fabrication.
Man, I love it when he does those rambling lyrics with all the rage in his songs. It's not even the usual rock scream or shout, it's just pent up emotion.
My all time favorite Candlebox song, and one that's still on my playlists today. Such an outpouring of emotion for a painful loss, and the thought that "Maybe I could have done something to stop this?"
This song destroys me. I lost my brother to the same thing that took Andy. I get every sad ragey cry Kevin makes here. I feel it deep in my bones and I listen to it and understand it so perfectly. Some songs just do that. Like LP'S Tokyo Sunrise, Soundgarden's Fell On Black Days, and Lera Lynn's Only Thing Worth Fighting For, etc. Some songs, it feels like these talented angels wrote as a way for you to express your feelings through shared experiences. I am so grateful for that. I watched this analysis but had to pause multiple times and just cry. But I am grateful for it. Thank you Elizabeth.
Exactly the same experience here: I lost my oldest brother when I was in high school, and every lyric in this song hits home, even 25 years later. I don't have those other songs in my repertoire of emotional reminders of him, but I'm headed that way now.
I am so sorry, I can't imagine the heartache you have even still. ESP something so unnecessary - I know the demon all too well, unfortunately
🙏🏻❤️
Candlebox are so underrated. This song gives me the chills. A great era of music and this song just sends you right back there. So pleased to see this featuring on the channel!
Saw them when they opened for Rush. The lead singer, Kevin, was standing next to me being a fan when Rush came on. Great guy. Great voice.
If you are a rock musician and you're not a Rush fan, you're not a very good musician.
I also saw them when they opened for Rush. I was kind of familiar with the album and was waiting for this song. They absolutley nailed it. Vocals were very impressive live. However, I was waiting for the guitar solo. Blew me away. Lucky enough to be about 30 feet away. Alex had a high bar to clear that night.
Fuck sakes, I love Rush!
So awesome. I also saw Candlebox when they opened for Rush in 94 i think. They were really really reallly good. Also got to see them recently open for Bush/Jerry Cantrell and Kevin even joined Jerry on stage for Would. Epic stuff!
@@chrislove-2112 Man I wanna say theres a live version of this song with an even longer solo? i cant find it tho ☹️
One of my favorite albums of the 90's along with Throwing Copper.
@TheCharismaticVoice
The song is not about a relationship. It's about the lead vocalist of Mother Love Bone, Andy Wood.
Candlebox frontman Kevin Martin stated in 1994, "I wrote 'Far Behind' for Andy Wood. I was a huge Malfunkshun fan and a huge Mother Love Bone fan and I got to know Andy early on in his career when I was working in a shoe store with Susan Silver who was managing Mother Love Bone, Soundgarden, and Alice in Chains."
It's about the loss of a friend from drugs.
Hard to think of a death that was both so impactful, but also so necessary to the culture. As super tragic as it was, how many great bands and beautiful songs came out of that death?
@raeje countless.
There's a really good live acoustic version of this song somewhere on TH-cam where Kevin talks in depth about this in the preamble before performing.
Absolutely has to do with a relationship. He lost his best friend and is feeling regretful now that the relationship is obviously gone forever.
It's written to be somewhat ambiguous. Sure it can be be about Andrew Wood, but in context, it could be about living your life to the fullest without giving any f's on what people think and watching past regrets pass you by.
Rly love when people still discover some of my favourite songs ever, and people who know one or two things about music :) Cheers , my girl
No question here. Just wanted to thank you for the hours of QUALITY entertainment over the last couple years. Yours is one of my favorite channels on TH-cam.
As someone who grew up in the 90s, I really enjoy the grunge/alt-rock analysis videos. I'd highly suggest revisiting Layne Staley, but through Mad Season's wonderful track, River of Deceit. What a great vocalist and a killer supergroup. All these years later it's still sad how so many great grunge artists left us far too soon.
I was in my late twenties to thirties when the 90’s happened but I always loved Candlebox.
This song still chokes me up with the last two choruses after the bridge. Always reminds me of my brother I lost to mental health when he was 18. 😢
sorry for your loss dude. so hard to lose someone at that age and for those reasons.
@GnarlyCharly1988 thanks 🙏🏻
My special person with this song was Jennifer. Before any assumptions, I was rough on her for her self destructive actions, I should have maybe been more supportive in my words.
Yep reminds me of my sister who passed away also! ❤
🫂
I appreciate how you break down these songs. Not only for your appreciation of the vocals, but for the stories that they are telling. I grew up listening to songs like this on the radio in the '90s. Some of them, I could understand what they were singing about, but some I couldn't. I thank you again for what you are doing here.
Thirty years later, this still hits so hard. It was cool how you uttered an 'Mmmm' right along with him on first listen to one of the verses. You picked up what he was putting down, for sure. Thanks for deepening my appreciation of this little piece of my adolescence...
I heard that and did a double take. Then pulled an Elizabeth and skipped back to hear it again.
Haven't heard this song in years. Still hits me right in the feels 30 years later...
Still one of my favorite songs, never tire of hearing it after all these years!
Thanks! E. WA!! I'm shook!!!
Just another reminder of how great 90s Rock/Metal/Grunge was. Good ole days of CDs =)
This was at the top of my 'deserted island' CD list. So many great songs. They really get to me.
Yes!!!!!! That's all I have to say about this one, an awesome and dare I say underrated part of grunge/alternative ❤❤❤
Far behind and you were two of my favorite songs growing up, i miss this music so much
Seen these guys 3 times over the many years and they are one of the best sounding bands live I have ever heard!
This whole album is great. I saw them in concert right after this album released. He sounds *exactly* like his studio recording, it was amazing. One of my all-time favorite concerts
This song is a tribute to Andrew Wood.
I played Candlebox's debut record constantly when it first came out and for years and years after. It's an amazing record.
Mother Love Bone needs to be on E's shortlist, Andrew Wood's voice is fantastic and under appreciated
I agree@john_locke_103
I could never get behind the follow up album, which was sad for me cuz I loved the first one so much.
@@EzequielMeilij Lucy. Yup. I bought it the day it came out and just couldn't get into it no matter how hard I tried. Maybe someday I'll go back to it and try again.
@John_Locke_108 "Simple lessons", the single, made it sound like a promising follow up... Sad when that disconnect happens to you with a band you like
Saw these guys live back then and they were outstanding. Usually you're happy if a singer is at least close to sounding as good as they do on the album, this kid was one of the very few I've seen that sound better. Impressive.
More grunge/post grunge classics; Lightning Crashes by Live, Tomorrow by Silverchair.
I want to love this comment!!
Would absolutely love for you to explore more of that album!! I listened to that whole thing in repeat! I absolutely love his voice.
I really was hoping that "You" would have been the first Candlebox song, but this will do. Good song, and fine example of Kevin's vocals
Both songs are great, I hope she does cover a live version of You
@@user-scott-pearce You is a bad ass song, this is their 'ballad' so to speak. "Fuck you, I don't want it no more...." is likely the best lyric of the 90's

Love seeing people discover Candlebox. Seen them live many times, Kevin still has the pipes. I think their 2008 album Into The Sun is one of the greatest rock albums ever made and no one knows about it. His vocals on that album are unbelievable.
Candlebox Happy Pills album is my favorite. Sometimes is such an amazingly beautiful song.
Cover Me, Blossom, 10000 Horses, Don't You, Miss You, Breathe Me In, so so many great songs from Candlebox that need analysis!
Breathe Me In is a masterpiece! Need the 4-minute intro too.

Love this song. So many teenage memories with this song. Whole album is a good listen.
Fantastic choice!! The Charismatic Voice continues to be the gold standard in TH-cam reaction channels
Well because she is actually a professional singer and not some random person reacting to a Led Zeppelin song. She has a lot of great insights and knowledge about singing.
Love that these guys are getting some love. Great band, amazing song. PS. Man, some of your pauses kill me. ;) but I get it. Cheers.
Kevin Martin is originally from Illinois, then moved to Texas at 10, then Seattle when he was 15, so he was not a Seattle native. Candlebox was actually resented by many long time grunge bands who thought they lucked into the scene by who they knew (the lead singer worked at a shoe store with Chris Cornell's wife). They had only played a few major shows before Maverick records picked them up about 11 months after the band formed. While many other Seattle bands had been in the scene since the 80s.
Madonna's involvement didn't help.
@@Normal6755 Been a long while since I've heard about the whole Candlebox drama, but I don't think Madonna really had any involvement beyond just owning the Maverick label. But she definitely didn't fit into the grunge image, and grunge fans definitely got it into their head that the band was being managed by a pop star, which isn't how record labels work. Deftones, Beasties Boyz, and countless other bands that were far from pop signed to Maverick - the label was just doing their job to diversify the genres they had under the label.
I never got why they were so disrespected. They wrote good, catchy tunes - they deserve the recognition they got. So what if they didn't struggle as long as other bands? Some might say the reason for that is that their songwriting is just naturally more appealing to a wide variety of people.
Friend of mine knew Kevin in High School before he moved to Seattle... My buddy wished he could have gone out there with him (Buddy was a base player)...
This whole album is gold. I can listen to it all the way through a dozen times and not get bored.
Great choice. Vocal dynamics were the immediate hook for Candlebox. Very effective.
It is so beautiful that people actually talk about how the emotions of music affect and help them!! When I was young and realized music affected me this way I got the shit beat out of me for talking about it. And I never heard anyone say anything about it so I thought it was just me! One of if not the best concerts I have ever been to!!
This song was a tribute to Andrew Wood from Mother Lovebone. Another song that was a tribute to him that you should listen to is “Would?” by Alice In Chains.
Whenever you dig down in your heart to tell your story in a song it will always resonate with others. Somebody out there has been where you are & understands what you might be going through. ✌🏼💜🤘🏼
There are two types of people in the world. Those who listen to Candlebox near a campfire among friends with a bottle of wine and those who have no idea what I'm talking about. "You" and "Cover Me" and "He Calls Home" are also excellent.
Amen!
Also, Candlebox has a pretty big blues influence so that might be the "jazz" you're also hearing.
"Blossom" and "Sometimes" really show off his voice in my opinion.
Blossom and He Calls Home.
@@teboots1I agree 100%
Always loved this song. If I am in a melancholy mood and it comes on, it can rip right into me. I'm glad to see this song getting some love from the channel.
Dude, Kevin Martin is the nicest guy, this needs to be a teatime interview at some point. You two would get along great! he’s a musicians musician.
I was obsessed with this song when it came out, still love it to pieces. that guitar just pops off for me.
I’ve always loved “He Calls Home”
Possibly their slowest song but really showcases his voice.
I’m probably a little biased because I was struggling as one of the working homeless when it came out and it spoke to the lives of many of the good but troubled people I met while on the street.
He Calls Home is one of those hidden beautiful songs, kind of like Yellow Ledbetter by Pearl Jam. It's about a homeless guy who stayed near their studio for a long time and one day, didn't show up anymore.
One of my favorite songs from my youth and brings back that nostalgic emotion that leaves me yearning for youth again.
So many gone. Lost needlessly but these songs remain. I still tear up. Just man.
I think the short chorus is part of the experience. He is singing to someone who left him behind. Someone not there to give the other half. We never get resolution for things we may-ya-yabe should’ve said. IMHO. ❤
I clicked so fast... Candlebox was my life's soundtrack when I was 14 years old.
yeah man, same!
Same
I was a slow adopter of the newfangled "compact disc" technology. Candlebox was one of my first CDs. Well worth the $9.99 plus tax, even in 1994 dollars (which, any Gen Zer would tell you, could buy a fleet of yachts).
Couldn’t wait to see your reaction to this song! So glad you mentioned his pop off top screams. He is so good at it. I also appreciate how the grunge era utilized the word yeah.
This made me so happy. I love this band, and I'm still listening to them now. It was great to watch a reaction to them because they are so underrated.
I'd love to see her react to Concrete Blonde. I know she did Bloodletting for Halloween one year, but they have such a different sound in so many of their songs. Lullabye is my absolute favorite, but Caroline, Joey, Little Conversations, Wendy, and so many others show Johnette's voice off so well.
I also like Mexican Moon and Heal it Up.
C.B. Did a great cover of little wing if ya wana check it out
The line “And then someday, we could take our time to brush the leaves aside so you can reach us” always gets me. To me, it’s the visual of brushing the leaves off a gravestone to see (reach us) the name of the person who’s buried there 😢
"Breathe me in" needs to be on your Candlebox list, Kevin Martin's vocals are incredible!
OMG yes! Breathe Me In and Sometimes are some of Kevins best performances!
Thank you for giving Candlebox a chance. Kevin Martin is an amazing vocalist and storyteller. The band is amazing. They came along at the right time and filled a void for me and helped me through some tough times. Another band from the same period that is absolutely worth listening to is Blind Melon. Shannon Hoon’s vocals are amazing and unique. Tones of Home and Galaxie are good starts.
You can find live videos of this song also he’s much older. you can appreciate how good he is and he still sounds the same as the studio. amazing!
Candlebox is amazing! I think their debut album is one the best ever made. I've been a fan of theirs since listening to my mom's CD in junior high, just as I started getting into rock music. Being from the Seattle area, all grunge music feels so special. I finally got to see Candlebox live in Seattle in 2018 for their 25 anniversary, and it was one of the best performances I've ever seen. Kevin still has it!
Right on, man. I grew up in Seattle too. I remember hearing "Smells like teen spirit" on the new music hour on KISW or KXRX (can't remember which - KXRX used to be awesome, it's changed formats multiple times not sure what it is now) and attended that free Pearl Jam concert at Madison Park (might have been some LSD involved). This music totally feels special. Something like they captured the feeling of the clouds, rain, trees, atmospheric conditions, everything. And, it's weird, I visit Seattle now, and it's totally changed, you can find little slices that are the same, but, it's rapidly vanishing.
I posted last year on Rick Beato's channel a little self driving tour of seattle to take with an MP3 player loaded with Seattle music on a late winter, early spring rainy day. Rock on, Dude!

Kevin has an amazing voice. And stamina. I saw him in 2010 do an hour on a small stage with a group called The Gracious Few, then 2 hours later do an hour and a half on the big stage with Candlebox. They did a cover of Led Zeppelin's Immigrant Song at the end of the set, and he absolutely nailed it. I'll recommend a lesser known song of theirs called "Stand".
I love Candlebox. Talented, fantastic band with a lot of great songs. Their first 2 albums are 2 of my favs. Their second album "Lucy" is even better than the first one in my opinion. That rarely happens. Excellent video as always CV.
That entire album is SOLID GOLD! My first concert ever.
This whole CD (or tape I had in my old car back in 93) was worn out. Man, I played it over and over. Great music. So many good songs from this band, just saw them a couple years back and they are still amazing.

Hi, Elizabeth!
I saw Candlebox with Bush in Atlanta a few months ago. Kevin actually sounds as good now as he did then! I was seriously impressed.
Thank you for this one. Have a great night, and keep doing what you do! ❤
Every time you say, you’ve never heard this this band my brain implodes.
But for the record, if you did a breakdown of opera singers, there is an almost certain guarantee I’d not know who they are.
Their song "You" is definitely one of the best and deserves a worthy review.
The band i sang for in the 90's did this song in regular rotation. This is a very powerful song, full of emotions.
We played in a small club one night, in Alabama, when this song came up on the set list. Something just clicked that night and i felt a connection that I'd never felt before. It was very spiritual in nature and i just went with it.
I closed my eyes, held onto the mic stand, and poured every ounce of energy i had into this song. The kick part came up and we all were on the same wavelength. I was on a different planet in my mind, and rode that wave as far as it would take me.
I was oblivious to the world around me as this tune got more and more intense.
The last words of the song came, got delivered, and then i opened my eyes. My oblivion turned into absolute terror, as there were 2 people standing right in front of me, not 2 feet away. Needless to say, I was startled and jumped back.
One of them i recognised from work, but the other, i have never met before. They were both from the Cherokee reservation in North Carolina. The lady i worked with introduced the man as the Medicine Man on the reservation. He told me, as he was standing there, he could see my spirit leave my body and move around the room. It then settled just above me, until the song ended. I asked him, "What did it look like?"
All he said was that it is a Cherokee soul.
Dude! That is a really, really cool story. I'm glad I decided to respond to some comments and keep reading. Thank you for sharing it, I'm never sure if similar experiences are real or what... It's interesting that you can't just "take" things like this. You have to go out and earn them, make them, let them happen (whatever your feeling for the right words is). I wonder if western civilization, in its quest for ration, hasn't lost connection to another part of our intelligence. I'm not saying it's bad - it's just that if you are a powerlifter, you often can't do ballet, meaning, brain specialization might be like body specialization and native americans (and others) have kept a crucial part of this ability. Or, perhaps its like people who are naturally gifted - like in music, people who can just sit down at a piano and play be ear (totally jealous).
I have studied music and play music, but don't do it at the pro level. If I sing (barely) Southern Cross by CSN, every time I sing "She's all that I have left and music is her name" I start crying. There is something so beautiful and powerful in some phrases, that it just connects deeply, and adding the music, bridging body and mind together has some sort of full body memory. The fascia experts are now exploring this - how the fascial system of the body might be a bridge.
But, excellent story. Will totally remember it. Would be great in a documentary about art/music.
I can't believe I missed this. I've been wanting you to review this forever. One of the few songs where the entire vibe can be summed up in those opening chords. Amazing
Fun fact: Candlebox (like Stone Temple Pilots) was absolutely savaged by the music press when they first came out. They were panned as “grunge sellouts” and deemed no better than pop metal. Personally, I think they were really underrated.
I mean, their songs got heavy MTV rotation, but like you say, it does feel like they were not as talked about as other contemporary acts ❤
@@EzequielMeilijoh they were talked about, but mostly by critics giving them negative reviews.
I think candlebox just got lumped into the grunge genre .I personally would not call them grunge.
Definitely underrated
I've been a longtime Candlebox fan who has ever album but the last, and have continued to see them live throughout the past 35 years. Kevin announced his retirement tour this past year, but his music grew up with me for 35 years.
So glad you're experiencing Candlebox!! One of my favorites...got to see them live about ten times in KC and they're excellent live performers ❤️🔥

Lots of respect for these guys. Saw them playing a show in Kuwait when I was on my way home from Iraq! I was so surprised!
As other’s have said, this is dedicated to Andrew Wood of Mother Love Bone. Your Grunge journey really needs to include the absolute classic “Chloe Dancer / Crown of Thorns” by Mother Love Bone. That band actually had 2 members of Pearl Jam. Andrew’s death and the end of MLB is what led to Pearl Jam.
I commented just about the same above but also w/ some details about Temple of the Dog, specifically mentioning Chloe Dancer/CoT then scrolled down to see your comment. Well played 🤙🏼
Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns is a must listen.
Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns, Stargazer, Come Bite the Apple, Bone China, Gentle Groove, Otherside, These R No Blues, Stardog Champion, Man of Golden Words (which contains the lyric, “ I’m living in the Temple of the Dog.”). So many great Mother Love Bone songs.
I actually came here to say this. And for those of you who are Seattle grunge alumni like myself, there is a great video for Chloe Dancer on mlbloverock that is quite a walk down memory lane of the live music scene in the grunge era. Starts all the way back with Malfunkshun. 😊
He is one of my favorite vocalists from their era. Very expressive and emotionally connected. That effect on his voice could be a "plate reverb". You can adjust the wet/dry mix as well as the the tone of the simulated spatial sound. My guitar effects board has about 10 different kinds of reverb. That one sounds the closest to me. I've learned so much from you over the years. Maybe I can learn you somethin'! lol. Thanks for your continuous curiosity and celebration of music. Stay awesome!
"Blossom" is a must!
I agree
One of my most favorite songs of the time! Thanks for your review. I always learn so much!
Hardly anyone ever mentions the Lucy album. PEAK!
yup, fantastic!
Lucy is my favorite album of theirs. Love the creativity and how unique Lucy is.
One of the most underrated bands of the 90s... Love Candlebox 🍻
Other musts from this album would have to be "You" and "Cover Me", although the entire (debut) album is great.
Yay! Another new reaction! 👍
I watch these with my 5 year old niece, she calls you 'Auntie Lizzy'! 😍
It's the only thing she watches intently & loves your goofy faces & laughs (as she puts it)!
Keep up the good work from the UK. 👍
oh my... the big O face is my fave
Cover me and Change are two of my favorites
Thank you for doing this. I lost my best friend in college, this song came out that next week. This hit so hard because I feel I could have helped if I just listened.
"You" should be your next step in their catalog.
I love this song, so glad you did a video on it!
If you're going to react to Candlebox, then you have to react to BLIND MELON. 🤞✌️
Fun fact, the lead singer of Blind Melon also sings in Guns N Roses "Don't Cry"
Yes!!!
Galaxie!
I've been commenting this for years!
Let's keep suggesting songs...I really want to hear her interpretation of Shannon's unique voice.
Mouth Full of Cavities is my suggestion.
One of my favorite bands back when we were 20-somethings. He had a way with writing lyrics. Glad to see this!
