It's definitely important to practice, but I wouldn't look down on your period of study either. It's good to be well-informed of how-to and understand conceptions that you can take-away into your daily life, ethics, and morals. You may be practicing without notice, you may have altered a part of your being from reading something that is mind-provoking, so what is your perception of practice? Mindful-meditation? or can it be mindful-reading, cooking, going to work? There is nothing wrong with the release of endorphins when you are in the presence of peace or happiness. To practice is to pay attention. The spiritual journey is also about self-acceptance where you currently are even if it's you freaking out in the anxiety of losing your job, being present doesn't mean that you have to be okay with everything that goes on in your life, be okay that you are currently freaking out and you will cool down faster.
Some people don't even know where to start to be forgiving because it's difficult for them to forgive while living a hectic life of many obligations. Some people need to really take time to contemplate over the idea of humility and enlightenment just to realize they're lacking it because their ego was saying something like "I practice yoga often so I am on the higher level of my spiritual journey compared to the reader of yoga". etc.

Wow this is so true and beautifully put. It is really hard to practise this but the more I practise, the easier it gets! And it's truly the way to go man. Thank you Vishuddha! The one thing that bothered me was the law of attraction/manifestation. It seems to completely draw from the ego and desire. We shouldn’t want or crave, we shouldn’t desire, we shouldn’t think ourselves too good for certain things, these all cause suffering. Why manifest or attract something like a new job or a million dollars when everything we need is within ourselves?

A couple years ago I focused on letting go of any attachments. Like my Loved ones, friends, items, memories, thoughts, emotions and even my own Life. At first it seemed like to me that I was not to care about them. But being more Present with them I realized i can still care about them without attaching myself to the outcomes.
I can still have emotions for my Loved ones and items, and memories, but if I attachment myself to them then it will cause me pain and suffering In the end. I learned to be absolutely Present and purely accept any thought, emotion or outcome.
And that alone will start your manifestion process in whatever you intent on. For me I was intent on attracting more Love in my life. I didn't know how to start getting results but I just kept a space in my Heart for any living thing. And a month later I was attracting more Loving in my Life than I had ever previously experienced before.
    Thank you Vishuddha Das💖
Have a wonderful day Everyone. Much Love🙏

rratS -bbeW wow I love this! Do you have any more tips on how you let go?

    • @rrats-bbew3132
      @rrats-bbew3132 4 ปีที่แล้ว +16

@@taylorn4934 for me it was Knowing that I am whole and complete within myself. And once you have this Knowing then it makes it a lot easier to let go of the attachments.
I realized that we are Born here with everything we need, everything we need to Grow, and Live is right here inside of you. We can learn to Love and grow but as soon as we attach our Egos to, it will only cause unnecessary pain and suffering.
I learned in the book: The Power Of Now by Eckhart Tolle; that we have a Pain Body. This Pain body resides in our Egos body and is all the pain we've experienced in the past and haven't properly dealt with or let go of. This is why people get "triggered" something happens or is said that triggers the pain from their past. This Pain Body is an actual Living Energy and this is why people are cruel, so quick to hurt other, kill people, and even hurt themselves. Because they identify themselves with their Ego, therefore identifying with the Pain Body. When you identify with the pain inside, you'll Embody that pain and act upon, this creating more pain and suffering. The pain body feeds off of negative energies and wants to hurt others of yourself either physically or emotionally. You may have an experience where you act compulsively out of anger or hatred, and maybe regret it later. That is not you, and that is why you might see a dark side of a person who acts unrational. Nobody in their right mind wants to be in pain or suffering.
The Ego and Pain Body is constantly looking to the Future for it's survival, and identifying with the past. But if we stop identifying with the Ego and start to Become Present to this moment, we align with our True Selves. You are not your thoughts or emotions. You ARE the Observer of these thoughts and emotions, once again, We are the Observer. Once we Know this, it opens a new state of Consciousness and you begin to create a gap between the Ego and the Awareness. When this happens you won't take any thoughts, or emotions seriously and you'll actually find alot of them are out of context to the Present Moment, or childish, or compulsive, or maybe not even your own. Thoughts and emotions float around through the human Consciousness and most of them aren't ours, most people suffer from Compulsive Thinking. But We are Awareness and our True State of Being is Presence. Everything is happening right Here, right Now. It really helps to be fully Present to this moment, which requires constant observation. And with this Knowing you fully surrender and accept what comes your way allowing yourself to Let Go.
We are constantly changing each moment after the next, each breath, thought, action, and emotion. And if we allow ourselves to Let go and open ourselves and our Hearts to the next moment this allows constant growing without attachment to who we think we are. This is like being Reborn in Each and Every Moment after the next. We become profoundly Grateful, Innocent, Forgiving, Loving and Vulnerable.
We Become Buddha - The Enlightened One (:
"My Heart is at ease Knowing that what is meant for me will never miss me, and that which misses me was never meant for me"
      - Robert Nesta Marley
"Each individual is an expression of the Collective Consciousness of Humanity, and the Collective Consciousness of Humanity is an expression of the One Universal Consciousness"
      -Eckhart Tolle
"Let us not look back in anger, nor look forward in fear, but around in Awareness"
      -James Thurbur
"When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be"
      -Lao Tzu
"True and Everlasting Inner Peace can never be found in external things, it can only be found within, and then once we nurture it ourselves, it Radiates Outwards"
      --Buddha
Today I am not what I think I am, I'm not what you think I am, I am what I think you think I am
I hope this Shone Light on the subject of what needs to be done. It's not entirely easy at first, but in due time it Will Be Natural.

I think that something else that many people need to avoid too is this feeling of superiority of thinking that because we are doing spiritual practice others that are not doing it cannot understand us because they are in a lower level of development. It is true that everyone path is different but every reincarnation is a new experience independently of the level that the soul is. How Matias Stefano said, we are here to get somewhere, there is not stairs to go up to, we are just here to experience different perspectives of the life that create for ourselves.

The most powerful form of journaling in my experience is to write about your personal life experience, inner and outer. And how those 2 are related. So what are your feelings and thoughts and how are they creating your life? Because the outer reflects the inner. And how you were affected by the inner experiences of your parents (or caretakers) as a child.

There's a proverb I once heard, can't remember exactly, that goes "The sharpest mind will never be as timeless as the weakest ink". Something along those lines. Your first point about practise over knowledge made me think of this proverb in a new light. From my experience, I always loved spirituality and read A LOT about it growing up. I thought, at that time, I was woke. Then, few years ago, I started meditation and "practising my craft". In just 1 month, I had learned a LOT more than I have learned in the past 5 years or so of reading. In the past few months, I haven't put enough "work" in my spirituality because I have been caught up in "daily life" and I am starting to feel like that's hindering my progress. This is a great reminder for me to keep the work, to walk the road and never stop putting in the efforts. Anyways, thank you so much Koi for this beautiful video, as always.

I definitely struggle with the first one, especially if you include watching videos/listening to seminars. I'll just listen to video playlists all day, while not actively practicing...just nodding along with what they're saying XD Really great food for thought for what I need to work on. I always appreciate your insight.

Thank you,my biggest hurdle has been the letting go of attachment,at first you think, well I’m not supposed to care. I like the way you explained it.Currently practicing Hinduism. Another evolving understanding, what it means to practice.

Spirituality is the only thing that gives me hope and motivation for life but some people say "spirituality" is evil. If I were to get rid of these beliefs and practices, I would be depressed and hopeless. Spirituality has helped me move forward in life in a postive way and provides self fullfillment for me and helped me do inner work.

Idk why but when you started talking about the first point it made me think of star wars, in the scene where the jedi texts were "destroyed" in a fire.
I have to say, I just saw a couple of your videos and your energy seems a lot better than it was in the past. I'm hoping that it's true, that you're in a better place ❤

I watch and read all the time on a daily basis but I don’t know where to start I feel a little lost in the start of my journey. I want to practice but i don’t know where to start really. I don’t want to practice the wrong way either. You are a voice to be heard. Thank uou

I used to watch your channel when I was 16 (22 now), it’s really cool to see you talk about important topics such over consumption of spiritual material, law of attraction misconceptions, and psychedelic vs natural enlightenment. Sometimes I really struggle connecting with the things I see in the spiritual community, I feel as though things are over complicated. I have found myself straying away from new age and towards traditional eastern philosophies, as they seem to better capture the essence of what spirituality is. Anyways your channel is great, glad I found it again :)

It's kind of crazy dude. I started watching your videos when your channel was named Kois corner. Your videos helped me so much when I felt lost because I was separated from the church. You literally showed me a whole new world. About 2 years after finding your channel I started working and met some really cool people who reminded me of you. Turns out they knew you from florida! One of the guys that was a big influence and help to me was named Dakota Gibbs. Not sure if you remember him but it's just so crazy how at the time everything was in sync.

I took the Triple Gem last year and officially became a Buddhist. I am devotee of Hsi Fang Temple, Fo Guang Shan Temple, here in San Diego. I had planned on taking the 5 precepts in April, but the virus took care of that. Just wanted you that I started this journey watching your videos. I appreciate you as a teacher and a human, thank you! Omituofo
