Just started using the foam today, I did my homework on this one and knew to stay away from the liquid, it can be annoying for a lot of reasons from what I understand.
@@sandiago7564 Honestly, I don't know if it's doing anything. It might be harder for me to tell because I haven't shaved at all, so It's hard to discern what is potentially new hair or just what I had. Especially since I had never grown a beard before in my life, so I didn't know for sure what full coverage even was for me. I just knew I had patchy cheeks. It looks like there could be new soft light hair in spots, though, I'm just not positive. If it is working, it's only working on my cheeks, even though I use it all over my beard. Because the areas around my soul patch that were completely bare, are still completely bare. Sorry, I'm very wordy lol.
why every foam minox i see on youtube stays in foam form inside the cap while mine immediately turns into liquid in seconds? (i use kirkland 5% as well)
I've tried both and preferred the liquid for a few reasons. If you're applying to an area that already has some hair, it seems like the foam sticks to the hair and you get less on the skin. With liquid you can use the dropper to squirt it right on the skin. The foam often fell off my fingers or would turn to liquid which was annoying to apply without the dropper.
Being using the liquid version for about 5 months. Saw some impressive results. Meaning from almost no hair at all to the applied areas, to actuall noticeable difference. However, important note: If you stop applying it for some time (meaning a few months) once you shave them they wont come back as much. You need to start re-applying it to get back to what you had. So basically, the people who say that you need to stick to it for over a 1 year must be saying the truth. Restarted again since i wanted to fix a few remaining areas on th side of the face and connection of the moustache around the lips to the bottom of the beard. This time will stick to it and I will switch to foam to reduce the itchiness.
@@ariff609 Been running the foam version for a bit less than a month now (20-25 days) and had extremely good results. More hair than ever. However, I have not completely shaved yet to see if they will come back again with equal or greater density. I will double check that next week most probably.
@@ariff609 Back to give my update. Proceeded as mentioned above and did a new clean shaving (second one) and bead seems to be coming back normally now. My final take on minoxidil after all this time, is that you need to be applying for a significant period of time, you can have pauses in between, until the beard solidifies its presence and keeps coming back on its own. Also the foam is way better compared to the liquid.
Now this is what I keep hearing about it, once you stop the hair just goes back to normal or in some cases stops growing. I was using a liquid form on aloepecia areata patches on my scalp for months and didn't notice anything, it felt greasy to apply and after 3 months, nothing at all. I am considering the foam for both scalp and patchy facial hair loss.
You can shave on minoxidil no problem! It actually allows less minoxidil to dry on your hair, and more on your skin. Most people don't shave so they can see the new hairs grow in alongside old ones, but you can do whatever! The first hairs that appear are small "vellus" blonde hairs, and slowly they fall out and become thick, colored hair or "terminal" hair. It usually takes 1.5-2 years of application before the hair you "gain" from minoxidil becomes this thick, permanent kind of hair! If you stop minoxidil before it's permanent, the hairs will fall out and likely not grow back :)

Enor Surprisingly it worked like I have nice solid facial hair, the patchy spots filled up over time and now it’s looks good. Some tips that I would give out is: 1.) when you apply the minoxidil make sure you give yourself an outline of exactly where you want to grow the hair 2.) be consistent i got lazy for a bit but make sure you apply day and night & try to do it everyday it will help and grow much quicker and better. 3.) This is optional but I shaved off what i had grew out around month 4 because i wanted the hairs to thicken and they did and they grew back in like a month so don’t be scared to clean it up and shave it

Hey, try to put that bottle in the fridge for an hour before you use it and after an hour shake it and you will see the real foam of it. The bottle should be place in a cold storage like fridge. I did it for an hour ago now and i see it is nice. I experienced the same with you. It melts so fast.
Have u felt the bubbly white residue on ur face after applying the foam?
haha same here. Just got it today, and its melted right away after putting in the cap. gonna use this trick.
I jus started minoxidil foam (Kirkland) and when I applied after clean a face i feel burn my sides for couple minutes do you know why its happened?
It did this for me when I applied to my upper lip
It's normal the first few times, has it lessened over time?

I'm using it too. I started it when I was 17 and since than 6 months has passed.
@@szilveszterforgo8776 how much progress since 6 months?
@@zain4494 My chin is fairly heary now as well as my jawline. But I find it very hard to grow whiskers.
I use foam in the morning before work to dry quickly, and liquid in the evening.
Can i use minox 10 foam in morning and minox 5 liquid?
@@illuminati7806 Yes, it's ok. The main thing is not to wash your face for 4 hours after the application for the drug to be fully absorbed and act as efficiently as possible. It is written in the instructions for the drug

Do you know if the Foam Kirkland or Rogaine have Propylene Glycol? The liquid developed contact dermatitis on my skin. I think it's because of alcohol. Thank you and I'm sorry for the English. Hugs from Brazil.
I never rubbed it in
How many times a day
Ya Mother In one of his older videos he said he does it twice a day, and he leaves it on for 4 hours. When he wakes up he showers then applies it, then at night he cleans rinses his face then applies it once more.
You got it 😁 making me proud 😭
@@zakmuhammad9499 so after for hours should you necessarily wash it off?

Anyone has info if I can put face lotion after 30 mins or something ?
A bit of a late reply here (3 years lol), wait 10 to 15 minutes before applying a moisturizer or until the minoxidil has dried
Recently bought the foam because the liquid leaves my face dry as hell xD
same bro
@Kiranmai B V A bit yes, you will need to moistorize daily. But not nearly as much as the liquid.
@Kiranmai B V Not with foam. But it can itch and cause red skin.
Exactly, the liquid makes your face feel like elephant skin
Does it work ?
I think you should make a video on how to spot a fake minioxidil... I think I bought the wrong thing😭
if it says made in israel its real
Do you think it would be a good idea to try out minoxidil if I work in the heat ( Im a solar installer ) I wear a mask constantly so I don’t know if that would make irritation worse ?
I would recommend applying it as soon as you wake up and before bed. That way your not sweating it out at work 👍
How long before I can put moisturizer on after you’ve done this?
4 hours
What's better? Foam or liquid?
Foam!
@@ToBeardAndBeyond why?
@@techtrap3442 less drying :)
Hey brother! I have just bought the foam version and had 2 applications. But when I apply, it soaks in good at first but later appear bubbly and white like a shaving cream when i rub it for 15-20 seconds. And it hasn't absorbed even after 2.5 hours. I rub it after 2.5 hours after and that white creamy foam has spread all over agian. Can anyone please help through this?
sounds like you have very oily skin, should see a dermatologist about that
I wash my face with my face wash first then apply it I sort of run into the same problem but the face wash helps
How many times do you apply it a day?
Once in the morning and once at night, 4 hours before bed!
Great Covid sneeze 🤣
Ha! Don't spread rumors ;)
Super late to the conversation, have no idea if someone has already mentioned this and this comment will likely get buried to the bottom of the comment sections but try using a derma roller for those patchier sections and your face in general. Helps you get healthier skin and can boost hair growth.
Thank you for the info. Hopefully saw your comment before it drowned haha
Day 1 wish me luck
Results 9 months later?
Thanks
I just switched from liquid to foam. Do you experience dry skin and redness on your face using foam? I switched because of liquid made my skin so dry and red. Can't even go to work because of them. So embarrassing.
It's expected with Minoxidil. Use skin hydration products in between application; I apply beard oil 4 hours after.
Your finger is absorbing some of the product, if I may suggest using a hair dye applicator such as the one that comes with Just for Men I assure it works well for getting your skin to absorb the solution more efficiently.
the fingers dont absorb anything.. but as soon as the foam touches the face its gone in 1 sec

Says yes fingers and wherever else on the body does absorb minoxidil 👍🏼
@@Krunch7zero you will wash your hands right after applying the drug on your face it will not have enough time to be absorbed in the fingers

That looked like a lot more than half a cap to me. What’s up. Lol
Draw your beard one rub at a time.

Good luck :D
Pogress?
Y Gaming it worked lol, started seeing results on month 2 and now that i’m 3 months in i have facial hair not perfect but we getting there still
@@darthvader220 what about now?
Enor Surprisingly it worked like I have nice solid facial hair, the patchy spots filled up over time and now it’s looks good. Some tips that I would give out is: 1.) when you apply the minoxidil make sure you give yourself an outline of exactly where you want to grow the hair
2.) be consistent i got lazy for a bit but make sure you apply day and night & try to do it everyday it will help and grow much quicker and better.
3.) This is optional but I shaved off what i had grew out around month 4 because i wanted the hairs to thicken and they did and they grew back in like a month so don’t be scared to clean it up and shave it
CHOPPED BLUD
you creep me out
I looked around for my mask after that sneeze.......damn pandemic
