  • The Harmonium Project in Steubenville, Ohio has been hosting the street festival "First Fridays on Fourth" since 2018 in an effort to celebrate the people and businesses of Steubenville and the surrounding Ohio Valley region. It's an awesome evening of music, dancing, great food & vendors, and spending time with friends (both old and new).
We've been attending the festivals since a month or two after they started, and have wanted to make a video about it to showcase the wonderful work that is being done to revitalize a small town's downtown. We hope to continue making videos that can help in this revitalization, and can showcase what many amazing people are doing!
The equipment used to film this video is:
    Cameras: GH6
    Lenses: Voigtlander f0.95, 10.5mm, 17.5mm, 25mm, 42.5mm, and 60mm
    Mic: RØDE Stereo Videomic X
    Drone: DJI Mavic 2 Pro
Editing, Sound Design, and Color Grading all done in Adobe Premiere Pro.
The music for this piece is "Colourful Way" by Sofia, and it was licensed through Musicbed.com.

Awesome! Hopefully you'll be able to come to September's! For this one I went by myself (and my production assistant), but I look forward to going to next month's First Fridays with my wife and kids and enjoying the festivities from not-behind-a-camera. :-)

Wow! I love it, Matt. You should be making national commercials.

Thanks, Kathy! I'm not sure how to break into that market, nor even certain if I would enjoy it. I think I mentioned the last time we spoke that I've actually been intentionally focusing more locally, wanting to try to spend more time at home with our growing family. That said, I wouldn't object to the occasional national commercial. :-)

It's true, I hardly ever upload anymore. :-(
Truth-be-told, I thought client work was going to slow down with Covid and I'd have more time to focus on TH-cam, but work got busier and I've just been trying to keep up with making videos for others. I always have a desire to mix in creative projects, like this one, so I hope to do that (hopefully more often than once every two years!).
      Thanks for watching!

Amazing work! That Panasonic really delivers some nice color. I love the variety of wide, middle, and close shots. The editing is phenomenal, and the Mavic 2 pro still delivers, the aerial shots are well done and really tasteful. Nice job!

Thanks! Truth-be-told, the colors on this video are my least-favorite from anything I've yet filmed with the GH6. The lighting was super tricky at times with harsh oranges/yellows from street lights and blues from storefronts. But I should also give credit to the GH6 for having 10-bit color, because that gave me latitude for getting the images closer to colors I was happy with.
I'm working on a video for a client right now that we filmed with the GH6, and I was able to properly light the interviews on that one and I LOVE the colors from the camera with that footage. I'm gearing up for another project where I'll be filming with V-Log, and I'm excited to see what the camera is capable of.

Words elude me! That was some fantastic work! Great videography, the music was perfect, the editing was fantastic. I'm simply amazed. I wish I could do it half that well. And I can tell by the time span that you put a lot of hours into this thing, not counting the hours and hours of editing, that ended up in a very short, just a 2.5 minute video.

Thanks! Yes, I've been working on it most waking hours since we finished filming a week ago. Thank you for the kind words on the video. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Cool vid, good to see you back! Have you invested in the mavic pro 3 btw? Loved your M2P tutorials

I did buy the Mavic 3 Cine, but I've been busy with client work and growing my production company, so I ended up not using it and sent it back. I would love to start making YT content more regularly again, but priority lately has been on the company in hopes it can become self-sustainable.
Thanks for the kinds words on the M2P tutorials. Those were my favorite tutorials to film. :-)
