  • '... So this is it, huh? This is, what it has come to? After everything, I've been through, everything I gave, near-countless struggles through worlds of terror, despair and god knows what, this is, what it all led to? ...
it has all been worthless, from the get-go. This is it. It is game over. It is THE END...
although, it is kind of interesting and maybe even sad, how unfair the world can seem sometimes... or even often.
I have figured all I can do now, is rest here and either wait for some miracle, or wither away.
    Farewell, you damn world.'
That is a quote, that I think this track kind of encompasses. Especially the ending.
(I just wrote that quote, as I'm writing this description, but I had similar thoughts, after starting this beat, as it kind of gives me some sort of dystopian feeling)
This was intended to be a Hip-Hop beat, which people may rap to (during the synth, bass and drum solo) and maybe have some hook on the ostinato/jingle parts.
It turned out to be a not-so-suited track for rapping (especially at the drum solo). I don't know, if this would be classified as some Lo-Fi beat. I'd call it... light electro jazz, maybe?
Anyway, this took me quiiite a while to finish. I've been on this for ~4 days and probably spent around 15 hours, just making this. This is probably in my top 5 most elaborate music projects.
This is also one of the beats, where I played an actual bass guitar, to give it a more Hip-Hop-ey feel. I'm not completely satisfied, with how it sounds. I kinda suck, playing any stringed instrument (except keyboards maybe). I probably have a total bass guitar playtime of uh... 20 hours max?
Nevertheless, I still wanted to try that, so that's, how it is.
Alright. Enough yapping and time for some info:
Obviously, this is a cover/remix of the game over fanfare/jingle from Super Mario World, by Kōji Kondō.
Also, this is a reupload, because of some errors with the visuals. Oh well...
The Instruments (Arrangement of the signals):
    SPC 700 emulation Bass
    Synthesizer Percussion
    Lead Kick & Snare
About Lead: It's a combination of SPC 700 emulation & Synthesizer, where they play... the lead/melody and not just an ostinato or accompaniment. (Also I made a mistake in the visual, where 1 glissando isn't in Lead, but it's too late to change that now (I wanted to release this on the 25th (ultimately ruined, since I reuploaded this, fixing this very problem so it really wan't too late to change that... and I've come to realize, that that one glissando still somehow isn't fixed... f**k it)))
About Bass: It's a combination of the bass guitar (duh), SPC 700 emulation & Synthesizer, where they play bass.
About percussion: it's percussion, but without the kick and snare, since that's the job of the Kick & Snare channel.
