Fantastic !! So well organised in systematic way that even a layman who is not having any background in Tabla can very easily learn Tabla. Giving proper positioning of fingers, explaining open and controlled sound gives in depth understanding of basics. Icing on the cake is playing single bol at different tempos giving real life experience of a bol. Hats off to you Sir ! Thank you so much for making this amazing video. For me this will be the great start for my journey to learn how to play Tabla. Regards !
Dear Dr. Sonwalker; Your method of teaching Tabla is so user friendly. No wonder you are such a great academician. We did interact when I and my wife Sandhya Pandurangi (Vocalist) enjoyed your company. I am lifting all your ideas to teach Tabla for potential students. It is amazing how person from different discipline communicates. We cherish your contribution to our culture.
Thanks for the introduction of some bols. It will be very helpful if you could display the Bols that you play. That way a beginner can correctly copy your style. Thanks.
Dear Nishikanth; Your teaching methodology is so user friendly. No wonder you are a great academician and a teacher. I remember that we interacted with you along with my wife Sandhya Pandurangi (Vocalist) when we were in Boston (2000-2004). I am taking all your ideas to teach Tabla to potential students. You are a great asset to our culture. Thanks for doing this. Do you have more vedios?

I'm confused about the 'tee', is it the same as 'tin'?
dloverise yes similar but tin is flat +trble while ti is just flat on treble or dayan
How do you manage to make this "tin" sound so loud, clear and open ?
He lifted up the ring finger slightly while playing Tin
i dont get it
Dadra tal
ta -bo ta bo ta bo si plus accorder ting tal
After forgetting everything I ever learned
I realised that I forgot the difference b/w ke and kath and ghin and ghe
Because my guruji would interchange.
