Robert Schneider - Tears (1986 Demo)

This super catchy song is sourced from a tape of songs Robert recorded sometime in 1986, at the age of 15. The tape features all sorts of things, from classical guitar pensivenses to rock opera ambitions, but my personal favorite thing on the tape is this little acoustic pop song that hints at the hookiness of Robert's future work with the Apples in Stereo.
"Tears", like every other song on the tape, features only a multi-tracked Robert, who on here lays down acoustic guitar, vocals (including call-and-response backing vocals!) and a nifty organ solo in the middle.
The painting I used for this video, entitled "Where Tears Can't Stop", is also from 1986 and was painted by Carlos Alfonzo.
