    For poolees...these kids can snap. No joke, I wish I’d have been that prepared before I went to boot camp in 2001!

    Amazing how he took control of the entire group just with his voice and body language. Drill sergeants are special people. They are responsible for making recruits into effective soldiers. By doing this, they save lives.

    The DI most feared was the 5'5 Filipino that sounded like a chipmunk.

    No ducking way! Sgt Casillas, well when I went through he was Sgt, but I believe he is Ssgt now. He was my platoon leader, delta co, platoon 1070 😂 awesome marine and amazing person

    Dad was a DI during Korea. Yup, that makes me 50. Tough guy to grow up with but he prepared me for the corps, and life. Still kickin at 93. You ol jarhead ..

    DI is a thankless job. 30 years later, I still have nothing but gratitude and admiration for mine.

    He was my DI back in 2018 delta Co. One of the best Drill instructors. Tough sob too, glad I had him.

    To this day biggest fear is waking back up to LIGHTS LIGHTS LIGHTS and being back at boot
