The tone sounds thinner to me on 2020 than 1996, but it's thin pretty much throughout in 2020. The difference is very obvious between 2020 and 1996 or 2008, whereas 1996 and 2008 are more similar to me.

How so? The 2008 version was re-recorded fully and the 2020 versions were apart of her quarantine performances. None of them used previous vocals from other versions.

She drinks a lot of wine. That’s her thing. We all know alcohol dries up the voice. She always recovers vocally when she’s not drinking.
