Little confused on how air brakes work on uk trailers. When the red air line is pulled or the red brake button pulled does it engage the spring brakes or service brakes. Iv read something saying there's 2 systems in this country. Some trailers will put the spring brakes on straight away then others will put the service brakes on but the spring brakes will come in to action when the pressure drops below a certain level. Can anyone here help me with this.

Does front chassis module need to reprogrammed if we put new one? Thanks

Chassis module front will req to be programmed if it's replaced unfortunately. Make your your diagnosis is sound before replacement I'd hate for you to be changing it due to a power/ground issue or can

Hi thanks for the comment. If your asking how to program it you need to watch both parts of the video as that takes you through extracting the old file and adding to to the new valve

Ewwwww trailers ..Luckily i only ave to work on DAF the closest i get to another make is tachos on mercs which we get a lot of for some reason..But the customers who have us (except me) maintain their mercs are slowly getting rid of them for DAF ..Trailer wise we probably get a handful at most .And we are that busy 99% of ebs faults are given to the local haldex etc agent ..And you no doubt know Fraikin are closing their workshops and they are all going to 1 dealer group ..To be honest we did all their work as it was except service inspection .any warning lights came straight to us ..So it looks like the ryder scenario all over again...and like ryder they will keep a couple of mobile tech in vans

Ah norb.....tell me about it buddy! You know how it goes, who has two thumbs and we give this to who we know will fix it......this guy 😅.
I'm very much if we have the right tools and information we can fix anything and I try to do that even if we should concentrate on the DAF franchise. I will have a go at anything!
I think the way middle and higher management should be looking at the situation of your too busy to be doing HALDEX faults is if there is a market and it pays EXSPAND! who needs a HALDEX agent when you could be employing people to do the work in-house for your own customers.
I know about fraikin, I take it they will concentrate on renting/lease trucks as apposed to maintaining them now?

Spot on mate subbed from the struggler on his recommendation,I hate using jaltest for valves old place had the proper haldex computer so much quicker and easier to diagnose and program, them port 21 add on for the pressure sensor are a god send instead of changing a whole valve. Mint content proper binge watching all ya stuff

Thanks for coming over to have a look. I'd LOVE the proper HALDEX diagnostic tooling to do this job but like everything in life everything seems to be a compromise and then companies wonder why things go wrong 🫣
I'd of gone for the external pressure transducer but we just don't keep it Unfortunately and with the trailer being on contract maintenance it's like for like 🤷
I'm glad your enjoying the content.....it gets progressively worse unfortunately or you could say I'm getting progressively better 😂😂😂😂
