When I was a student in the early 90's, before falling asleep, I used to lie down in my bed with my finger on the TV on/off button and listen to MTV Headbangers' Ball. I was drowsy and almost ready to push the button when this tracked was aired. After a short while I was up and waiting for the track to end so that I could get the artist and song title on a piece paper. The next day I had the CD in my player....

Wow! I have only started listening to Dream Theater for about 5 years or so. This old school song is awesome! Blew me away even still, with there cheesy 80's look.
The transition at 3:49 actually works pretty good

Great song! Loved the lineup back then; I was lucky enough to see them live a few times in the mid/late 90's.
This song is so incredibly good I'm glad I found it a few years ago I think this song is especially good for kids to hear in there early teenage years when there still a sponge for knowledge

Hello I'm from Indonesia I'm hearing this song in 2008 when my age still 5 until now my favorite band is dream theater
well, on the inside of the Awake album, they're all standing up and wearing all black and look pretty badass
So...much...hair! I witnessed this beast of a band at the House of Blues in L.A. back in....1998? They destroyed for an hour and a half straight...then took a small break, came back, Slayed for another hour or so. Then switched instruments for a "Nightmare Cinema" encore. Moments in life I will never forget.

Logan Hiatt He wasn’t the sound of dream theater though. He turned them into a classical and theatrical influence rather than a surreal jazz influence. Personally I think it was a step in the wrong direction

It hurts my soul to hear this song mangled like this.
Why are people so confused about the prog sections being cut out? Its designed to be played on MTV as a hit single which would have helped the band commercially. Their audience isn't used to listening to progressive masterpieces which are double the length of a typical song.
And even with that the song is still 6 minutes long haha, when the average commercial song is 3-4 min long
So rocking song. "There are no answers from Voices above" -> one of the few times DT sounds does not sound so religious in contrast to many other songs.(e.g. the whole Voices, Change Of Seasons (i will live on), all Metropolis pt.2 notions to afterlife etc.)

DREAM THEATER is AWESOME! Has anyone seen them in Concert? I would love to see them at Carolina Rebellion,but I don't know if they play with other bands anymore. FATES WARNING is good too. I do believe TRIVIUM opened up for them. DREAM THEATER is my favorite band. Then SEVENDUST!
This band had only one problem: John Petrucci and John Myung should have known that they needed to keep Kevin Moore. The three of them were unstoppable. They should have realized to keep him was worth more than anything else. Oh, well.
