I would too, you're too mentally invested in work. A good supervisor does all this and also doesn't let their head get wrapped up in work. If you let it effect you at all outside of a professional manner. Your employees see the weak points and lean into your insecurities.

Just tell them what you want done in a nice way, but tell them you will check back later to follow up. I had two quit on me today (related to each other) and told me that Friday is their last day because they cannot meet my expectations. My Manager was happy. Hey, if they are not listening and not getting the work done do not let it be you that gets blamed. Let it be known that you were doing your part and not you that failed. Some need more supervision than others. I had that going on today and another one that started telling me all that she got finished and asked me if I wanted to check I told her not now that I trust her and said I will check on you sometimes but not always as not everyone is like her and made her feel good. I have good ones and bad ones (mostly good) and they tell me they do it for me if I ask because I am nice to them. Just keep that smile on your face, be nice, let the good ones know they are appreciated because they will do things for you, the others keep them on their toes and let them know you are watching. Some of my team find me because I am not watching them as much I drop by once a day for them to see if they need anything, others run me off my feet. I cannot wait till Monday. Sometimes training someone new is the best thing to happen.

I think there is no best skills when it comes to supervising. How you act as a supervisor depends on the situation and your subordinates attitudes.

You would think that with such a crucial topic, and just 5 minutes run time, they could use a real person to narrate and bring life to the teaching.

I knew a staff, she was a unit supervisor in our program. Her name's Marie Spencer. "Not everyone" could stand her! If we all couldn't stand her, why did we have her as our trifling supervisor? Some liked her. She was a job coach before she switched to that occupation.

    • @user-je6pn9pr3h

What do you and the team do to make her feel like it's necessary to be a mother bee? Have you shown her that she can trust you with tasks? Employees don't understand that at the end of the day if you do something wrong that the supervisor is the one who is held responsible and have their job threatened everyday. Put yourself in their shoes and you'll realize why they behave the way they do

I just turned 23 old while I'm writing this comment on 2024/01/02, and I got a job offer at one of the finest companies that I have never imagined myself working for, and one of my career dreams is to become a supervisor then I become a manager of a team, I'm definitely gonna work my ass off to achieve this, and hopefully I won't let myself down, anyway I'll be back to this comment in 5 years and see if things go as planned or no, يالله يااااارررببب
