@@wcreview8227 Much appreciated , but I live in Europe . I found both models on Ebay from reputable sellers, and now that I've seen them side by side, I'm gonna go with the Dark Earth color. The other looks too similar to my Recon 1 . Nice to have something that looks different :) Keep it up .

I have 3 AD10's and taking $$$ out of the equation they are among the VERY BEST of them all!! no Bullshit!! Just a MUST HAVE!! Light (IMO) Durable, funtional and great Blade Steel CPMS35VN.
Jeff, Thats how it starts my friend!! I have probably 75-80 knives.. and I keep buying more.. I will be selling off some to get money >>>>to buy more knives... but ... I am refining my collection in doing so.. Id rather have 8 $1000 knives than 80 $100 knives... and no one needs 80 knives.. it just happens.. If there is one essential knife its the AD10 you should def have at least one!!
Ordering an AD10 black tomorrow. It was between this and the AD15 but I don't get the scorpion lock. I handled one and it just seems too gimmicky. Like your videos. What's your opinion on the tanto AD10? It might be my next purchase after the blacked out AD10 drop point.
Hey Mike! I think youre making a great choice! The AD10 is just a Must have!! I happen to love the AD15 also !! once you fiddle with the scorpion lock and get it down, its a unique knife tht i also highy functional... LOVE Cold Steel! obviously , I have like 8 of their knives.. I have the Tanto AD10 and it is SOO Sharp! Its truly one of my favorite Tanto blades.. My Rec.. Go for the S35VN blade steel on these its worth the few extra bucks! Let me know how you make out
How does the PVD compare to the DLC coating ,in your opinion ⚖️ the knives are very cool and I really dig the BlackOut version because it stealthy and has that tactical cool look to it. 📸⚔️📸
I like having both, however the PVD Coating protects the blade, reduces glare and looks awesome.. I have an AD15 blacked out too that Ill be reviewing... Thank you for writing... I hope I answered your question.
Truth.. I did not know.. I was calling the black coated blade PVD out of habit.. I went and looked and still do not know, but I will be more conscious of terminology moving fwd.. Thank you
yeah theyre smooth ! but in my opinion the way they fit in the hand compensates for any perceived slippage you may fear.. however its no less smooth than the original AD10

I think the Pvd drop point is sweet. I have to have a murdered out tanto though , it’s a no brainer !
I didnt see any colors for the Tanto, but that would be Sweet!!

If you haven’t already you have to check out the Espada xl. It’s one of the world’s wonders.
For you ill give it another look, but believe it or not thats just too much for me... ill give it another look...

Hi, I don't seem to find an answer too, I know DLC coating is much more schratch resistant and doesn't show wears easily

Dude it’s just question of color. If you are afraid of rust take blacked version, but I think AD-10 without coating won’t rust much.
Is it PVD or DLC? I thought Cold Steel used DLC...

Are the scales smooth? My OD green scales are and it drives me nuts. My original ad10 has a textured feel to the handle.
