Good job your video has helped me understand a lil more abt cutting with a dremel onto glass .thank you .i look forward to seeing more of your videos .
Excellent video Thank You.....I learnt SO MUCH .....Great explanations of burrs etc for us rookies ...And a wonderful deer to boot. !!!!!. .KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK !
;your videos have made it a lot easier just watching what and how you work thanks a great deal you have been a great help.. finales I can start engraving I always wanted to do this but watching your video has make me invest in the tool and burrs and im getting better. I big thanks Adam's Montreal Canada
I love it! I'm trying to engrave a glass angels, just with the names of each members of my family, thats why I was looking for good video for beginers. I was so excited when I found your video. thank you for share your hobby like you said. and the best part of this is, that I already have the tool that you have used in your videos. thank you again for share your ideas. Now is my turn to try to do something. God bless you.
I found the computer interpretations of your commentary very amusing. It is a good video for beginners, and I am glad that your little brother was there also!
really good tutorials, i am amazed how quick you have picked up which burr's to use etc. i have only just bought myself the 4000 Dremel and the Versatip, got some tracing and carbon paper today, you make it look easy, need to get a cheap glass/vase now :-)
Gordon Warlow I would put up a " tutorial" just to show you that I'm way better but went would I want to glot on how good I am. ??? I'd be more inclined to listen if you'd had more of a fan base but as I can see no-one even responsed to your comments.. I just started looking into glass etching today cuz I'm trying to find some hobbies and it sounded cool. I like your video. It's a great first video to watch.
Gracias Javier por contestar. Cuando hagas otro video tenme en mente. Sobre todo necesito saber que equipos se usan y para que' son cada puntas. Muy agradecida. Dios te bendiga.
when you say back legs and your working on the legs under the head are you feeding your animals the wrong way and wondering why their tail is covering their (mouth). other than that. thanks for the information. it was very helpful and I learned a lot and it was fun to see you work.
Gotcha man, thanks for this cool process. I like to do my own stuff and was going to buy a wisky glass for 9buks but i can buy 4 for 12 and do my own engraving. Thanks
What glass is being used? Also you can check your glass for faults by using two pieces of negative film it one either side will show up any weakness or imperfections in the glass thereby you can work around it.
+Gilbert Colon Jr. I'd say start with a Dremel or other rotary tool, and sample a ball diamond burr and an Arkansas stone burr. With these two you can get going easily. As you try more add more burrs. Thanks for watching.
Good tutorial. But did you change it out for another as it was facing the other way in the end show. During the engraving it was looking right as you looked at it. Then the end one it was looking left.
it's the same one, the mirror is due to my videotaping upside down on a tripod. I flip the video post production so it seems mirror. but I finally figured out how to get rid of that post production by doing a vertical AND horizontal flip. so my last video is finally non mirrored throughout. Thanks for watching and catching that!
I would like to get into glass engraving. I don’t have the talent to do things freehand and need a template to copy from. You said you can get them from the internet but I’m not very good with a computer. Could you please give me some sights where I could find them and print them out. Thanks
i just engraved a glass mug and the lines are super rough. you can see the dents the needle poked. If i get a round burr as such, will it make the lines smoother? And do i choose the short or long stroke? i've got a dremel 290-65
Where do you get your bits? The only place with polishing bits that I can find is eternal tools but I am in the U.S. which makes shipping expensive. IT is a great online store but I was wondering if you knew of anywhere else?
@@veronicadurkin5167 I live in michigan in the US. I have checked all of the local shops for rubber polishing bits, but no shop carries them. I didn't know if you knew of any good online shops with trustworthy bits
hi...i get the metal ones from tophatters auction site and for the rubber polishing bits i got from canadian tire.... as well as walmart but have to order online from walmart.... but if you have time and dont need them asap then i would go here www.amazon.com/dremel-polishing-bits/s?k=dremel+polishing+bits
Take a look at dremels web site. They have the speed specs there for different bits. Typically you will use most diamond/carbide bits at around 25000 rpm. The water acts as both a cooling agent and a lubricant. You can also use a tiny spot of oil to help with lubrication.
try not to rely so heavily on outlines, try drawing with a pencil blending the edges so you have no out lines, then transfer this technique to your engraving. As for digging in..... big no no , destroys your burs, use a different grade of bit instead.
You're a great teacher. thanks.
Big fan of your videos. Thanks for the tutorial

beautiful!!!
Thanks for sharing your tip~ what is different between engraving and etching the glass?
What kit do you recommend? I see there are many different diamond burrs with different grit? Also what speed do you recommend?
What glass is being used? Also you can check your glass for faults by using two pieces of negative film it one either side will show up any weakness or imperfections in the glass thereby you can work around it.
Do you not get glass shivers in your fingers when wiping off the glass?
What type of bit is that
Just an idea but if you wore a glove on your hand you could use it as a cloth to wipe off the glass dust and water. it turned out beautiful,
can someone explain why do you need to add water?
Subscribed! I want to begin doing engraving badly. What tools, ppe, etc. would you recommend?
+Gilbert Colon Jr. I'd say start with a Dremel or other rotary tool, and sample a ball diamond burr and an Arkansas stone burr. With these two you can get going easily. As you try more add more burrs. Thanks for watching.

Does the faster the rpm's have effect on how steady you stay on the lines?
+Lee Gunhammer to me it seems the faster the rpms on the dremel the easier, smoother, and steadier it is
Thanks for that info it helps a lot..
I am a complete noob at this. Do you not get glass splinters wiping away with fingers ? I guess not or you would not do it maybe.
its more like glass dust... safety mask recommended you dont want to breath in that dust ;) :) have a good one :)
thin gloves+safety glasses+dust mask is highly recommended.. for all types of engraving. Glass, metal, wood etc. Safety first :)
Thanks for the great project
Wow so beautiful! What kind of the tool for use on the glass? Thank you for sharing!
It's a dremel with a diamond cutting tip.
How long do your tools last?

Just google free glass engraving templates then click the images tab.

Thank you for sharing the video. Much appreciated. May I ask what is the Dremel machine model(s) you have used for this video, please?
They all do this regardless of what model. You just need to get the attachment
@@ASCarvings Thank you for your reply.

How is he wetting the glass?
He said he has a glass with water in it he dips his finger in
My bit isn’t even making a mark on the glass.
