Awe man... I've loaded videos with whole sections of blurry mess... Moved on.. that I really film a live run, I'm going to make mistakes. It's all good. I'm enjoying myself.
@@blackopaldirect There sure is! But at the customers request I left it as big as possible. They’re a collector and don’t mind the inclusions, as they can help to tell a story. 😊 Thanks for watching and commenting Justin, means a lot!
This is so nice!!!! You know those handmade wire wraps the really interesting/intricate/delicate ones would be beautiful around this and a small little swirl 🌀 from the wraps frame onto the opal inclusion! I wish I could show an image but sadly can't so I hope I got this across!! ☺️🙏🏻
wow, even just 3.5 minutes in its looking so cool! what a stunning and unique pattern! shame that there was so much sand in the end, but lovely that the owner choose to leave some to save that brilliant pattern and color. you've given life to yet another stunning piece!
I believe one of the scariest moments for me is when you hold the opal over the flame 🔥 What a beautiful opal.. just amazing. It's amazing you are doing work for others. I'm about to start shaping and polishing opal. I have plenty to practice with, thank you. This opal turned out really nice. Unbelievable color, it's amazing.
Nice gem mate 👌Congrats to the lucky buyer of the parcel also. Definitely a collector stone and you made the right decision to leave it as is. The bezel setting would enhance it even more if the owner goes down that route but it also leaves the option that the stone could be recut if someone else buys it and chooses that option. Hope you got a heater for the workshop with the weather recently ☃️😂
Yeah im not wearing a hat I want to keep my hair and I dont believe in luck its either there or it isnt, but hope ya get the script patteren they are rare and its even cooler if you get it over another pattern.
Nice, very rare, color and pattern. IMO, leaving the inclusions and maximizing the storm is the right decision. A strategic setting might be able to hide most of the imperfections. Great video, as usual.
Thanks for the video! I don't know a lot about opals / gem stones but have always had an interest in such. Really appreciate you taking the time to break down the stone from color / shape / possible setting options / etc. Appreciate your content, thanks again! ^_^
Dont you hate it when the camera wont focus? I, often, use my phone and sometimes it ends up recording in portrait mode...doh!. Despite the flaws, it is a beautiful gem.
Beautiful stone, stunning pattern well done mate, some stones you can't go for perfect shape, you made right decision to leave inclusions for the greater good, to much beauty to waste for shape, flaws 'n' all it's beautiful 👍
@W.MOpals I have recently returned from Quilpie in outback QLD, Australia. I have found some nice little and some larger bits, but nothing like you were working with there. 😅. It's so damn easy to lose the colour! You think, oh yeah, I'll just take this bit and that bit, then bang! All the colour is gone 😅🤣 it's so bloody frustrating 😅🤣
@@zacharyvandervegt7536 So so scary dealing with thin colour, might be a micro fraction thick and like you say BANG and its gone. Slow and steady wins the race always :) Good luck with your cutting!
The sand will absorb moisture and temperature changes/humidity will expand and contract making it nigh on certain it will crack in any setting. Very unstable stone. Cut the sand out.
Sorry about the out of focus camera, only noticed after filming it all...Rookie error! Thanks for watching everyone :D
Great work!🏆🏆🏆
@@BullProspecting Many thanks!

There is a perfect little gem in the middle

Yeah certainly a winning buy from the customer. Plus they have the rest of the parcel!
Thanks for watching as always mate :D

Script pattern pulled through! No worries on the hat, looks like mine di the trick lol
Thanks for watching!
Definitely mate! Smart decisions. This piece deserves a gold setting
Couldn't agree more gold is the right move!

Glad you agree Joe, would be a shame to lose those red stripes! Thanks for watching!

Wow thank you for that comment. Glad you like the content! Thanks for watching :D Hope to bring you more in the future!
That script is just amazing. I hate sand.
Yep, sand will never be my friend lol1
Nice Job William, Always Enjoy 🤩

So annoying for me to realise the focus was off after I filmed it all...Rookie error! Thanks for watching mate :D
amazing red pattern shame about the sand spots great vid once again Will all the best to you
Cheers Tom! Certainly an excellent stone

Glad we agree! Thanks mate! Congratulations!
Auto focus can be really annoying. Beautiful stones, love the red script pattern.
I've heard the sand is where the colour comes from. If you removed that, good chance you could have lost all the red on that particular side.
@@zacharyvandervegt7536 Would be a shame to lose that red!

Put a small gem in the sand spot when it is set.
What is the red patch you removed? Is that a different type of gem?
gorgeous
Sure is! Thanks for watching :D
