Both those Bee bottles are stunning. Stunning vessels for a stunning perfume.

To me, the bee bottle is one of the most beautiful bottles ever made. It’s just so beautiful!

Jeremy I believe you commented something else but TH-cam must’ve removed the comment. I can’t see it :/

Merry Christmas Sebastian, as always it is so nice listening to your view on different perfumes.

This was so fun to listen to and consider. I giggled when you talked about your friend wearing it and smelling so nice (after you passed it on). Who knows why, sometimes our first instincts are spot-on and sometimes something can really grow on you (this happens to me with other art forms like music). I need to sniff this one when I am in Paris (hope hope) in late March. Enjoyed seeing your tree!

That has happened a few times but Angelique was the only one I decided to try again, and I’m glad I did!
I believe that sometimes when we smell a new perfume with a profile we’re not really used to, our brains can have a hard time “understanding” it.
I’ve had so many first encounters that didn’t go well but after smelling it for a few times after, the story changed completely. I think it’s just fair to try a new perfume sample multiple times before getting rid of it.
Glad you enjoyed the tree!! I think it’ll stay around until mid January 😂😂😂

Loved my sample of Angelique Noire. Do you travel to Paris often? Your collection of boutique exclusive bottles is beautiful and envy-worthy.

      Thank you! 😃
I don’t travel to Paris as often as I’d love to. 😂
I’ve been trying to go once a year for the last 4/5 years but last year I couldn’t go.

I’m waiting for my sample to arrive! Where I live we call Anjelica wild celery. It’s a wonderfully pungent bitter tangy green smelling plant that grows in the beach. If you eat the stalk it is very tangy, much like bitter oranges and the zest. When you first smell it , the nose wants to close up because it is so aromatic. Really happy for your review. Thank you!

      Thank you so much!
My desire to smell -and eat- Anjelica has spiked exponentially!!
I did not know that any part of it is eatable! Great info!
Since I love tangy and bitter flavors I’m pretty sure I’ll enjoy it! 😍
Is it possible to make sweets with it? Is it relatable to Rhubarb in any way?

TH-cam removes comments sometimes and it’s SO annoying!

Just stumbled upon your channel when trying to narrow down what I will end up puchasing from the new flankers of Guerlain's L'Art & La Matière fragrances; Angélique Noire and Iris Torréfié are the two contenders, for me. But for now, I ended up purchasing the last three bottles of extrait that they had before they disappear forever.

It’s such a hard choice! I find them all to smell so beautiful.
What extraits did you get if you don’t mind sharing!? 😍
I believe they’re doing some changes to the packaging, most of them (if not all) are completely sold out.
Shalimar extrait has been hard to find for a few months now, but I don’t think they would discontinue any of the classics extraits, especially shalimar.

The only 250ml bee bottle I have is iris ganache. I’d love to have Angelique noire as well 🥰

More about Angelica, just to answer the question about how they are used… I’ll just copy and paste what my answer was here… my apologies for the repeat! Rhubarb plants are dense and grow much like celery than the angelica plant. Angelica stalks are much like a soft, fibrous, hollow bamboo that breaks easily when you bend them. The florets remind me of broccoli. I dont think anyone but maybe curious foragers bother to eat them, one reason being that they look like another very poisonous plant. I think our Inuit ancestors used them in their meals dipped in seal oil. An elderly friend showed me one time how to eat them by peeling the outer skin at the base of the stalk. There must be a lot of vitamin C in them because its like eating a bitter orange with the zest along with citrus pine needles!

      Fascinating!!
Thank you so much for your detailed explanation! I’m really looking forward to finding it. I have a vivid idea of what it smells like, just need to confirm my feelings. 😂
Perhaps I’ve seen it while growing up in Brazil, the pictures if seen of it do look quite familiar to me but I can’t remember for sure.
      Thank you!!
