People who don’t like AI are just following a “trend” that it’s bad for society. It isn’t. Anything can be bad if used the wrong way, but can be a borderline miracle if used the right way!
Totally agree, but this ultimately should reduce these types of doctors overall pay grade. It makes no sense to pay someone six figures by just asking AI to do their job
@@jeff_jr4454 but then intelligent people would not take medicine as their career to supervise the AI and then people would suffer in the long run. Smart people become doctors and work through depression and very long unhealthy working hours and they are ok with doing this as long as they are paid well. AI is already affecting medical students and they are not taking up Radiology causing the shortage to worsen. This is bad for everyone in the long run.
@@jeff_jr4454 they are not just asking AI, they have to correlate it with their experience. Medical students have to maintain their mental health in a very long and unhealthy working environment to become a doctor. If they are not paid well then smart people would not study medicine and people would suffer in the long run. People dancing on social media earn 6 figures nowadays so it's not a big deal really.
@jeff_jr4454 logically, I know. If it were kept as last resort House M.D. style, like "welp, we tried everything we could think of and the marker board is out of room, so let's go make the world's most expensive Google search," then I could see it.
Given what we know about AI/machine learning and how we can train models to see and do things and file-copy these models to scale out agents to do work for us is profound. White-collar jobs are going to be affected first before it starts hitting blue-collars and it's also going to widen the wealth gap. I mean, who needs people to do jobs when we can have AI do it cheaply for us. This is going to cause a major culture-shift and we're going to need to adapt: learn how to leverage AI in your jobs, learn trades, etc

See, this could be a beneficial use of AI. AI has its places, it just shouldn't be used everywhere for everything.
