It’s just sad that most community colleges I have been to don’t even offer courses in that kind of manual machining skill set. Your literally watching a dying breed right there.
Dom seems like the type of dude who doesn't give a F about the cameras and just wants to get stuff done. I have a feeling we're lucky Teurck wants to document this for his channel, otherwise we would never have a chance to see Dom work his magic
He's got a job to do and he wants to get on with it. Someone sticking a camera in the way of things when you're trying to work must be infuriating. Especially when you're operating machinery and you need to be precise, and Ryan, bless him, is sticking his camera in the way of everything.
I literally was gunna say this. I've noticed it every episode. Maybe looks like a "dick" to some, but obviously just wants to get shit done. I'm the same way.
Have a peek at bad obsession Motorsports... project binky... different performance level of car but as far as engineering and build quality I’ve never seen anything like it
Exactly what I said when watching it!! Im like damn I wouldnt want to make any permanent changes to those heads or that block and these guys are drilling and tapping holes and clearancing parts of the block 😬😳😱 lol
I hope no one takes for granted what Dom is accomplishing here. This build would not be a build without that man. Treat him right, he's a f-ing genius.
I hope you're paying this dude all of the dollhairs. He's ridiculously talented and deserves to be put in the spotlight and compensated according to his abilities. Which are all of the abilities.
Cool thing about using RC car shock springs for the return spring is those are available in adjustable weights so you should be able to find exactly what you want easily.
Everytime this series pops up it's a much watch! Awesome job Dom and everyone at Race service, you guys are bringing the cool back to craftsmanship. Love how this series highlights all the little details that usually would go unnoticed by most.
This has quickly become my favorite series on the Tube to watch. I love the amount of detail without oversaturation. Keep 'em coming and you'll keep getting my views and likes.
This is honestly incredible, by far my favorite series on TH-cam right now. Makes all the other builders (who are talented in their own right) look like kids in shop class.
Much love for this entire project. I just hope NO young people out there look at these videos and think this type of work is ‘easy’ or ‘normal’ or even ‘affordable’. This vehicle that we are witnessing being built is hardly even a car anymore, much less a Supra. Real talk... how many Toyota parts are even left on this chassis? 8? 10? Kids... this is not a Supra. Machining and fabrication like this are VERY expensive. Appreciate the labor and tools being used.
For anyone here that's NOT a machinist, the thing's you're seeing Dom do on the Mills and Lathes is primarily automated these days and he's doing it ALL manually! This type of machine work is a dying art and I LOVE to see it in motion... "Dom-Spec" is something SPECIAL! And shoutout to ALL the Ol'school machinists that are doing it the REAL way! Cause we're the ones they call when they need a part to FIX their broken CNC's!
I disagree... We want someone like Don as a teacher. Every time I watch his work, I’m amazed. Then he outdoes himself shortly after. Truly gifted craftsman
Yes you propably should not try to put cap screw on place of countersunk at 7:00. You put counter sunk screws all the way through the holes when the part is OFF, then tighten it to the pump so that screws stay in slots. This design is mostly because they want hose connector to land over the screws and physically stop screws becoming undone from pump when the hose connector has been tightened.
This and the motionuto tv evo wagon build are my two favorite builds going on right now. This for the inane fabrication and race spec engineering involved and the evo for the insane body modifications required and how OEM like they're making it. What a time to be alive. Loving all the work.
For those multi itb systems, use a 30lb return pair of springs and and a pair of 27lb ASSIST springs. That's the way to have a solid return with an ez pull.
@@Shadowboost For sure. Last semester in my manufacturing class I had a hot chip from a 2 inch face mill land on the bridge of my safety glasses. If I didn't have them on it could've gone in my eye.
Bruu, crushing the game with this build absolute beauty!! Homeboy is an amazing craftsman Mr Dominant engineering! DomSpec FTW. I can't wait for this deal to eat on the Filthy Streets. Epic epic ish. Can't wait for the next video to hit my notifications!
Holy sweet gzs We all just witnessed fittings be created from scratch ground 0 from a solid piece with the edges for where it sits not to mention the oil ring trim Whattahell You must be kidding full cheating over 9000 lol Congratulations amazing work done unbelievable (As if wasn't stoked for the whole series already) EDIT: Had to come back here in the end of the video whilst the precious was while watching it to add about the finely crafted perfect fit firewall with design and even writings that was amazing Sorry for the spoiler if you read this first before watching but simply because it had to be mentioned lmao
Is there anything this Man Dom can't do or make..Its insane the mad quality of his skills..I hope he gets to drive some laps in this masterpiece when finished
1000% he just ordered a Toyota tailgate skin panel and cut it to fit. The ONLY other way would require a press that was of gigantic size. Thibk of the panel presses Toyota uses in there factories......massive and I'm positive he can't get his paws on one of them papadakis doesn't have one......
Drive by wire throttle body controllers are usually meant to work without a return spring. So I would reduce the return spring to almost nothing otherwise you risk the stepper motor seizing up from over heating trying to overcome the spring tension. If you want a positive return method add a small pneumatic ram that operates either off pressure or vacuum with a computer controlled solenoid to turn it on or off so it can slam the throttle shut if needed .
I know you said dbw hasn't been done on this engine before but that looked like it was *made* to have that modification. Those handy lugs lol maybe a race series? Dom is such a skilled person 👍 love this channel 👍
Watching Dom work is mesmerizing. Seriously talented guy.
Doms channel more then Ryan’s channel
Big time, much respect to quality/skill/knowledge of work he is doing! Not easy knowing all that machining along with fabrication
Seriously a master Craftsman. Just beautiful to work that he is doing.
it's simple, he cares about what he does. most others dont, it's just a job to them
It’s just sad that most community colleges I have been to don’t even offer courses in that kind of manual machining skill set. Your literally watching a dying breed right there.

Sounds right to me
hard agree on this
Quite unfortunate really.
He's got a job to do and he wants to get on with it. Someone sticking a camera in the way of things when you're trying to work must be infuriating. Especially when you're operating machinery and you need to be precise, and Ryan, bless him, is sticking his camera in the way of everything.

This build is going down as one of the best fabricated ever
got that right ....scary stuff given the expense of that motor
Have a peek at bad obsession Motorsports... project binky... different performance level of car but as far as engineering and build quality I’ve never seen anything like it
Awesome work as always guys! 💪
Credit where it is due. You know it means something when you see the work that went into that LP640 GT1 Road car...
Holy shit. Anyone willing to drill and tap two bosses in an ultra expensive and rare v10 is an absolute boss himself.
Exactly what I said when watching it!! Im like damn I wouldnt want to make any permanent changes to those heads or that block and these guys are drilling and tapping holes and clearancing parts of the block 😬😳😱 lol
Was thinking the same thing! I damn near passed out from holding my breath when Dom was setting the punch.
@@michaelphillips8960 it's a race engine I believe Jud still make a version of it!
Dom takes so much pride in his work. Beautiful to see him add all the details.
Is Dom some kind of wizard!! His workmanship is incredible!!
I hope no one takes for granted what Dom is accomplishing here. This build would not be a build without that man. Treat him right, he's a f-ing genius.
As a time served engineer, I really appreciate this. The fact it's all manual rather than CNC. Skills.
I hope you're paying this dude all of the dollhairs. He's ridiculously talented and deserves to be put in the spotlight and compensated according to his abilities. Which are all of the abilities.

Man Dom is blessed with great draining and fabrication skills. The man is a god in the race car creation, building and modification world

Best build on TH-cam right now. Can’t wait til this thing is done
Dom when he's annoyed: 🙁
Dom when he's pissed: 🙁
Dom when he's happier than he's ever been: 🙁
hhahahhahahahahahah
He is like the Bill Belichick of fabrication.
Thats fucken gold! 😂😂😂

Dom in a BOSS... D mix of old school an new school machining is so incredible.... Wish I had half d tools an skill... Great job guys...
Thanks for starting my dad off right!!! Man, ive said this before but having Dom in your corner is awesome! Love watching him work!!
Dude ,dom is crazy, art in the way of a bunch of AN fittings ,and that bead work could go on any Riddler winner ......just awesome
Love the level of detail, care and skill expressed in this build... awesome work and thank you for taking use on the ride.
can't believe so many people are sleeping on the best car content on youtube right now, would have expected this channel to explode tbh
I think. It’s because he only uploads 2 times a month. The algorithm doesn’t push him as much.
Dom is killing it! That bead roll is freaking art. All of this is art! Loving every second of this!
Hands down the best car-modification series floating around on the internet today. Nothing even comes close! Great work everyone involved!!
I want to say that we all need someone like Dom as a friend, but what we really need is to aspire to be that skilled. His work is flat out incredible.
I disagree... We want someone like Don as a teacher. Every time I watch his work, I’m amazed. Then he outdoes himself shortly after. Truly gifted craftsman
This build and project Binky are the best builds on TH-cam! Dom is an absolute artist
I’m looking forward for this release all week. My favourite project to follow, such a great idea and masterful craftsmanship and editing. Thank you 🙏

Great work guys! Dom's concentration with someone over his shoulder while single point threading on the lathe is priceless.
Dom Spec... is Badazzzzzzzz! Glad Ryan videos this guy working. Can't wait to see this car in action!!!!
I'm SO excited to see this thing alive!!! Love all of the build updates!
I'm simply blown away each time with this project! The skill and craftsmanship are AMAZING!
Timing on this was awesome, going to be tackling something similar soon on my Z. Awesome to see as always guys
Two weeks is just too long without seeing Dom's amazing fabrication skills
High level build! so much attention to detail, so much talent!

I would recommend you to also watch BOM Project Binky, you won't regret it
@@joealex65 I'll check that out. Thanks for the suggestion
Dude... unbelievable workmanship going into this..!
That Toyota emboss looks fucking sick. Mad +1 to Dom.
I watch faaaar too much car fabrication on TH-cam. Hands down, I've never seen anything else at the level of talent that you and Dom bring.
Dom is a beast at what he is doing! I really admire him and his work!
For those multi itb systems, use a 30lb return pair of springs and and a pair of 27lb ASSIST springs. That's the way to have a solid return with an ez pull.
I think I say this on every episode. Dom is next level with his fab skills. Human CNC machine!
I can't get enough of this project and all these small details. Nothing else like it! Beyond impressed
Man Dom is on a different level, the quality and precision of his work is otherworldly.
Dom, on point as always. Quality machining
The FireWall came out SICK!
The Toyota stamp was a super nice touch. I NEED MOAR
Definitely one of the coolest episode, making your own fittings is absolutely amazing!
Dom killin it again! That Toyota stamp is so cool!
I don't know Dom and he doesn't talk much but that man is incredibly skilled. Insane work and thought process. Top tier guy.
So glad you guys take the effort to show how you build the car up
This car is turning into the most impressive race car build on YT. Even Papadakis must be impressed.
Forever impressed by the fab work. Dom spec is next level quality. 👌🏾
I do love that you're converting things to drive by a wire even when they're throttle slides
The level of care, patience and skill Dom has is next level. Love watching such a talented man at work 🤙
Idk how you could thrash a car like this, the level of custom fab is ridiculous. Belongs in a museum
What a weapon you have there!! The "DOM" # Dom spec👍🏼🤙🏽
Love your work guys.
one of my favorite youtube channels. fab work is on point.
All of Dom's work is PROPER!!
This is dope, I just learned how to use a vertical mill yesterday and I've now got some mad respect for fab work
Can’t even express the excitement to see this thing done!!!
Dom's work is really incredible. Top job!
Thanks so so so much to shared with us of your professional works . Thumbs up!
The throttle is so much fun to watch.
dom is a genius i swear this will be like a riddler quality race car when its done please ryan dont hurt it everything is one off
Please get Dom some safety glasses, and please make him take out the strings in the hoodie when using the lathe 😳
Yeah I've been thinking that too. He does amazing work, but not a single pair of safety glasses to be seen.
I've heard of way too many incidents at my workplace to ever not use safety gear and practices. It happens to the best
@@Shadowboost For sure. Last semester in my manufacturing class I had a hot chip from a 2 inch face mill land on the bridge of my safety glasses. If I didn't have them on it could've gone in my eye.
As skilled as Dom is I am sure he knows this and just does not care. Someone with his skill does not simply not know safety. Blame Dom
Was looking for this comment! God damn yes get those strings out 🤬 and glasses

Something very satisfying watching this level of engineering 🙏😎so sick , build looks 🔥🔥 Ryan , going be so dope man as all your builds 🙏
Sheeesssh that toyota lettering on the back look sick 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Great work on the bead rolling and the Toyota panel looked awesome
Is there anything this Man Dom can't do or make..Its insane the mad quality of his skills..I hope he gets to drive some laps in this masterpiece when finished
Dom does everything. Awsome! This guy is a genius!
I am always waiting for the videos, thanks for the hardwork and dedication.
Anyone else really wanna see Dom press the the Toyota logo in that panel :(
It was done on the bead roller, there are some tenanted artist that make very detailed art with bead rollers.
Maybe he just ordered a stampted panel from the Toyota factory 😜
You can 3d print dies out of PLA and just press it letter by letter
1000% he just ordered a Toyota tailgate skin panel and cut it to fit. The ONLY other way would require a press that was of gigantic size. Thibk of the panel presses Toyota uses in there factories......massive and I'm positive he can't get his paws on one of them papadakis doesn't have one......
Most likely done on the mill with a rounded over bit.
Awesome video, impressive work ..best of luck this season!

the way you have doing it is just on another level🖤 keep going guys. the best build project on youtube🖤🖤🖤
That bead rolling that so satisfying
Again an amazing video, really appreciated guys.
Dom is simply the best. Wether it’s building race cars or riding Bmx he is a boss
As a precision machinist I'm impressed it only took dom 3-4 to make that fitting
Dom is always killing it guy is a master of all crafts
Freaking legends. This is so far beyond a SEMA build. Although ive never been, but damn is this good
Dom is an absolute monster with the fabrication, jesus
Bravo 👏🏼 Dom and Ryan
I like to keep the volume off And try to figure out what Dom is making by watching. Dudes have magic.
I don't know if anyone has seen videos of Jesse James working, but the man is a master craftsman/artist. Dom is the new Jesse James
Dom makes these videos amazing with his talent...

Thumbs up for Dom. Makes the last one on!
