There was nothing dodgy about that lesson. Amazing. Seeing the passion in all your videos, its truly amazing. I just bought a Korg B2 yesterday. Havent played a piano for a good 25/30 years now. But you gave me the inspiration to take up music again. So back to scratch and the basics but when you have music in your blood, its there for life. Thank you for being so passionate and for being yourself.

Please god Jack start teaching us all to play like you! I have a good grasp of theory and playing simple stuff, but I reckon you could really open a world of knowledge up to us here, your freestyle playing is awesome. I'd happily pay on patreon too, just sayin!! 👌

I really hope that these carry on , I’ve just started to learn , albeit on a 37 key ultra nova not ideal I know , will be buying a 88key keystation too use with my iPad very soon . Your teaching is brilliant as you are getting people to learn without the dreaded ( you must use this finger, this posture and this sheet music ) which makes it tedious. I’m loving it . I been wanting to learn for the last 40 years but never bothered , now I wish I started when I was a child . Keep it going your doing a great service for people like me

These little tricks help take all the theory I’ve been learning and turn it into practical technique. I also quite liked the Korg Prologue video with Luke, he was playing something at about 26:20 ( th-cam.com/video/KlaGeJs4LSs/w-d-xo.html ) that I had a go at learning. Merry Chrimbob to you too!

Though I quite like your individual research, aren't you simply playing a Csus2 along with another G note one octave lower? Although, it sounds good, the 'suspended' chord sound it introduces doesn't go with all music needing a Cmaj.. My two cents, happy to be proved wrong as I have been a musician by ear, learning theory now..

Hi Jack and thanks for another good video. I think of this one as a practical lesson rather than a theoretical lesson. So does the bass note determine which chord you can use this shape for? In the video when you used C in the bass, I assume you can use that in the place of a C Major chord in many songs. When you go to the F in the bass can you still use the C Sus2 shape in the RH to play an F Maj chord in many songs?

Also get that old geeza Lee to sit in with you, I know he only likes to twang on summat but for heavens sake he is trying to run a business here and that includes, you Jack.
For instance, I have no idea which keyboard you prefer the feel of Jack. By feel I mean something you can coax just that nuance to impress the ladies (or your mates). Not some other squarky sound.
