Yeah I had to use z1-Offroad when I replaced a rear axle on my 2012 Xterra P4X . I’m guessing everyone is titan swapping their xterras and frontiers cause of the front axles.
Coat hanger would have saved the day! How long till we get the video of the driver side brake line exploding open while driving? Thanks for posting the video 4WD. Was fun to see the inner workings of the parts replaced. 1.What was the total cost of the repair? How much were the parts? 2. Wonder how much force it took to break apart that bearing? It must have been a massive amount of force when the tires bogged down in that mud.
@@_Wake_Up_If_U_Can total cost of the CV was $411 shipped. Labor was free. $70 for the tow from my buddy using the U-Haul trailer. so let’s say a little less than $500 total. What we learned is exactly how to break a CV axle. So now I know what not to do and how hard is too hard😂
Awesome channel! Your practice approach to the truck’s repair, and seeing that your pops has a shop n probably wouldn’t let you buy a pos truck has helped my decision on buying this truck. Thanks!
Thanks buddy. Dad didn't really have a say when I bought it but he's been pleased with how well it's held up after befing offroad so much. He def approves
It's strongly advised that you do not allow your brake caliper to hang from the hose like that. Zip tie up, wire it out of the way, rest it onto something, anything but that. As that's really bad for the hose.
@kevinhess1790 If you lifted your vehicle and didn't extend the brake hoses, yes, that would be bad and could lead to catastrophic failure. If you lifted your vehicle properly and put on longer brake hoses, then no, it doesn't add any additional stress to the hoses.
Nice, I have an old Nissan Xterra. Right now I need to shop for two fuel injectors and coils and air fuel sensors. I hear that the after market parts sometimes fail right away. I might look for used OEM parts of e-bay
Subbed. Your channei is easy watching with your down home manner. Frontier fanboy myself with my 2024 SV 4x4 long bed with the technology packages. My second Frontier. Great trucks. I can watch you beat the crap of yours while mine sits warm and fuzzy in my driveway. 😂 Looking forward seeing your merch as well. As a content creator myself, billiards channel, I know the amount of work you put into these videos.
Nice. We (Brandon too) did it last Oct. used Jon's map. Did he mention Beasley Knob and Carolina off road parks on the route? Those are fun with if you have the time.
@@jasenswick7725 it’s not live yet! Should be ready by April 1. I’m honestly just waiting on a distribution company I work with to let me know about shipping information for the bigger items like the rooftop tents, awnings, and that type of stuff.
TFL hab a 24 Toyota break. Don't know exactly what broke. The Toyota wasn't doing 💩 compared to what you have been doing. Neither should break, but the Nissan was used as a real truck when it broke.

Seeing that caliper hanging dangling there really rubs my inner demons the wrong way.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 should've put a "viewer discretion is advised" on this video

Awesome video! Glad you got your truck fixed and running again. Can't wait for the Georgia trail video. Thanks for sharing!
I can’t wait either! Should be a lot of fun. Thanks for watching buddy!

I'm surprised Nissan hasn't reached out to you. Not a lot of people doing Nissan stuff on TH-cam
you and me both buddy lol.
I'm planning a SCAR trip and then the Georgia Traverse, can't wait to see your video
yeah buddy, I’m super pumped about it.

You're right they should be using caliper hooks or something.
yeah, that probably wasn’t a good idea lol
It really doesn't hurt it no more the flexing out you vehicle

I’m putting a new motor in my 2010 Frontier and gonna Titan swap it definitely can’t wait to get it running again

Save that shaft & see if the cost of that inner cv & boot to have it rebuilt it will be cheaper than getting a new one

thanks buddy I appreciate the compliment! I suck at pool. More power to ya 😂
Should make some fixing videos too. I think those would be a hit
what caused it to snap? wouldnt it do it again?
Too much droop on the driver front. The stick R180 diff doesn't like alot of ROM.
Come out west we can do some Arizona summers!
That would be the dream! Why do I live so far away? 🤣
@@4wdAdventurz 🤣🤷🏻♀️
I dig the merch ! Ima buy some !
That's some big ass tires for those little brakes to be stopping. I think I've heard of people using titan brakes too.
yeah, they are definitely not meant for 35s lol
2 different bolt patterns it wouldn't be a direct replacement. Z1 makes a big brake kit for the frontier
@@Garlander yeah. When I'm ready to upgrade, that's the kit I'm going with.
@@Garlander that's probably what I saw but I don't pay much attention to brakes.
Making me feel a little better for the drums on my Tacoma. There supposed to last the life time of the truck.
Can you re build the old cv and carry the old shaft assembly as a spare?
That's a good question. I guess we probably could. 🤔🤔

Nah. I'm in Ocala
Not under warranty????
Nah. Not much of the truck is stock. They wouldn't honor any warranty, I'm sure
Did you download the reverse traverse map from Sunshine Adventure Co?
Yes

Any update on the Z1 off road intake Spacer?
I actually haven't installed it yet. I'll be doing it when I get back from the Georgia Traverse
Id like to see the benefits of the spacer.

The Toyota has a switch in the front that engages the fwd, it’s basically plastic.
Toyota merch? 😮 Noooooo!
😂😂😂. they need shirts to wear too. 🤣
