Forbidding marriage as a rule or calling it evil is way outside of scripture.
After my first wife of 31 years walked out (disappointment), he brought me a perfect woman for restoration. God took my 2nd wife (cancer) several months ago after only three years (disappointment) but in praying for restoration, he brought me another perfect woman who I plan to marry.
*Understand: Everything I'm saying to you is in & from the love of Christ.*
The 1st wife (if she is still living) regardless of if she left you...is STILL your original covenant spouse in God's eyes if neither one of you were married to anyone else when you first took your vows before God.
It doesn't matter if SHE left you...the 2nd marraige was adultery... It's possible God was trying to speak to you then & you ignored Him.
This Worlds view on marriage is completely ungodly, twisted, demonic, evil, wicked & selfish.
Marriage is UNTIL DEATH... for better or for worse (that's what it means.) We get into our emotions & feelings & forget God... The CREATOR OF MARRIAGE.
Marriage is to reflect Gods love for the church/His people & He said... He would NEVER leave us or forsake us.
Satan has destroyed what marriage was intended to be... Except for the few remnant who knows the truth & have their marriage's restored after MANY, MANY years of waiting, enduring & watching their spouses marry someone else & or having a child with that person, enduring their spouses abandoning them & their children, leaving them in financial stress, enduring continual lying, slander, church members turning against them, many, many, different scenarios...
*AND THESE MARRIAGE'S WERE RESTORED LIKE NEW!* Praise God Almighty (only HE can do it)... Watch/read some testimonies right here on TH-cam... Check out some ministries.
The great majority of churches/pastors do not teach 'standing' as it is such, many "christian's" now treat their marriages just like unbeliever's do...and that is NOT Gods way... It's not right.
God told us to NOT be like the world.
Again, we hate, we don't forgive, we blame, we wallow, we ignore, we're selfish, proud & always, always, in OUR FEELINGS & EMOTIONS, doing what WE think & want and not following God or His Word.
God is not for divorce & I know what scripture says... That's a rarity... It is Gods will ALWAYS for reconciliation & restoration. If a situation is demonic, toxic & life threatening ofcourse God doesn't want anyone to stay in that.. He wants us safe, children safe & separation can be necessary.
But, even in adultery... God does not want divorce or because you no longer love your spouse or they left you or they get on your nerves, etc...etc... so many, reasons & excuses we make.
We are to take EVERYTHING to God & ask HIM to work it out, even if we don't want to or are to tired or whatever... We don't give up... We fight!
The ways of God are being ignored more & more each day & guess what?
The world is getting worse & worse each day (do the math.)

Help us Lord to live lives that are wholly submitted to you! Lord we rebuke the idol of marriage!!! We thank you that you hold every thought captive and you transform us by the renewing of our minds. You cleanse us and forgive us of all unrighteousness! Help us Lord to be single minded in our pursuit of you and steadfast on the narrow way. Help us to have discernment so that we do not stumble on this path. Only your way, the highest way, brings true peace, fulfillment and joy. We need you Lord and we trust you. Give us peace in your midst in the waiting and be an anchor to our souls. I pray you would lift disappointment off every discouraged and disappointed person on here and instead give them more of your Holy Spirit and fill them to overflow. How funny! I just finished praying to the Lord about my disappointment with a man that i believed he was the one. But i will repent and say that we were having pre marital sex 😢
God taught me that He does not play when He says sin leads to destruction. With that being said i am disappointed that im in my late 40's never been married or have kids,so i am 😔 sad. However, I know my God is good, and faithful. I started praying for the man God has for me. I hope he's praying for me too ❤

Being in my early forties I met the one for me. Being so much in love, we made the same mistake having premarital sex and being sure that that caused the problem of she not wanted to marry me anymore. I can relate how you felt. We repented. Although she took the initiative, as a man I was responsible for not leading her out of harms way.
I learned my lesson. I never been married. But now, I am praying for the woman God has for me and he is praying for you as well, I am sure of it! But we need to prepare ourselves.

Bless you my brother! Although, I regret this terribly, I am truly thankful for God's mercy and grace. It has deepened my relationship with Him and it made me understand His ways are for a reason. #1 and #5 applies to me out of the 5. From 19-26, I was in a long-term relationship, broke it off and I dated different men in a span of a year ...faced plenty of disappointments. Lost my virginity at 26 and became celibate at 27 and still celibate until marriage. I turn 33 this year and I am dealing with the disappointment of GOD's timing since I want a GODLY spouse. Been prophesied over regarding marriage and GOD has given me plenty of dreams revealing my husband to me, so you can imagine that it gets frustrating waiting sometimes. However, I am grateful that GOD has not presented my husband to me yet because where I am in my life right now, being in a relationship would be a distraction (unless the LORD says otherwise like Mark mentioned in the video). Plus, I have a hard time with imperfections (being my own worst critic) but I am working on it. GOD's timing is perfect, and I will gladly wait since GOD knows what is best for me. Glad that I am not in any toxic relationships whatsoever, definitely won't tolerate those. GOD is GOOD, I'll let HIM have HIS way.

Thank you for this video Mark. I went through all of these disappointments last year and the start of this year. I hope that God will bring my future husband into my life soon but even if that never happens, His plans are always better than my own.

Disappointments are a part of life. Especially when it comes to women. I've accepted that it is what it is, God can do anything He wants at anytime, but the more you want something, the more it doesn't happen. Best thing to do is walk away and work on yourself.
I think the more accurate thing to say is the more something is an idol the further away you get from actually obtaining that desire. It was hard for me to admit but I was so thirsty for a romantic relationship in my 20's that I think it was an idol and at 33 Im single (dissapionting). But looking back on it I don't think the marriage would have worked out if I got married when I wanted. I hope that I will get married in the next couple years even though I have no prospects and have never had a relationship before.

Ok, this is very good timing. God not only revealed to me recently that he is saying yes to my prayer for a future husband after 3 years, but I just prayed to him that I need signs of things that will happen to me before he reveals my future husband to me. This is perfect timing. I've been depending on God's timing for a long time, and I had my disappointments in me due to my insecurities. Plus, all the other things have happened to me. God pretty much removed quite a bit of guys that clearly didn't have relationship potential, and I'm glad he did. A person's rejection is God's direction.
This message is so timely, I been feeling so overwhelmed lately. Why? I am approaching my mid 30s and I felt like I haven't met the ONE. In today's sermon the pastor spoke about "killing the flesh" and I realize i wanted to be married more than anything else. I cried, I cried and I cried. I don't ever want my love for God to take second place over my desires and I am thankful that God showed me this because in time I know God will do what's best for me.

Yes I love that so much. Because before I came to Christ I was close to a girl in the past and it all went wrong and it totally destroyed me. But I learned so much through that. And it has created in me such patience and long-suffering. Now God has brought somebody into my life (Who I believe God has chosen for me) I am noticing how things I was challenged with in the past with that previous person have given me the experience to know how to deal with this new person. And this is allowing me to go about things in the right way, through experience. So he allowed a lot of hurt to take place in that past relationship to prepare me for the one who is meant for me. A godly woman.

I needed this video! Thanks Mark. I’ve really only experienced hardship in romantic relationships and not really any joy. I’ve learned about my own sinfulness throughout. I have been walking in repentance and am awaiting my future spouse that God has for me.
A blessing when two people can grow together and both head towards salvation. Right heart is going to set the course of life. Together two people should not have conflicting goals. In youth there are many imaginations and little thought for the rough roads that are what the Lord uses to grow up two Christians.

God gave my sister an open vision of many things...I was in part of vision with the kingdom husband I'd been praying for. She said we were standing in front of our home and were joyful and in love...She gave me his name. God showed me that man and confirmed it many times. Then God said, "its just a matter of time". My man knows about all this and we are waiting for God to orchestrate our meeting as we live in separate states. Unable to verify face to my sister as she passed before God showed me my spouse...but, I KNOW THAT I KNOW I FOUND HIM! Waiting joyfully and at peace. God is faithful and truth. Amen. How was your sister sure that it was a vision from God? I only ask because in my early 20's I had a very clear and vivid vision that was so detailed it was like watching a scene in a movie theater. I really wanted to know if marriage was even in my deck of cards. I saw myself with a man standing on a bi red rock in the middle of a big red landscape. It could have been Utah or California. I looked older, I was not able to really see his full face as I think it was simply not the right time for me to know that yet. Never had an experience like that before or again...But now Im 33 and still just as single now as then and really have a lot of questions about what I saw....Was that vision from God or something else just trying to trick me?
@@101runaways glorious vision. He's there. He's alive.God is working on him. Allow him to work on you as well. You don't want him to appear earlier than the Lord wants. God wants both of you to be kind of identical twins not fraternal. That godly oneness, unity, acceptance and healthy understanding of each other instinctively, will be your daily bread because you waited. You allowed to birth that in you because you we're willing to wait. Let God establish that in you as you let Him be the great Matchmaker. He's on his way to you as God leads him. Keep waiting. God's timing is the best. In the meantime grow in Him and in the power of His might. Let God show you how to pray for him. Pray for your soon to be kids. Our God is faithful. Don't loose heart. Wait in faith. Don't complain. Remember, God hates complaining. He loves you.
Keep in mind, in that vision, you looked older. Don't you think He was saying to you that you'll marry when you're older. He loves you. Wait again, I suggest, for His best.
I looked like I might have been older than 20's maybe in 30s at the oldest.I still looked young, but not really young like I did when this happened. It was also kind of hard to tell cuz it was so quick and I was not able to see everything. Didnt answer the question though of how your sister was sure that her vision was from God. I know in the Bible God has used visions but don't you think Satan can con us in the same way? Then again I don't think he can do that without us giving him some kind of leeway into our minds. Plus if it was from Satan it would be misleading and trying to gear you off the right path which I don't see why what I saw would have any reason to believe that. But then how do I know my mind didn't just make it up to convince myself of something I wanted badly. When I was teenager I put my friends first- girls liked me but I wasn’t serious- now I see most of all my friends and cousins are married I feel alone, back stabbed and miserable and I think why did I screw up- why did I put my friends first- they didnt put me first and they got married and now I’m seeing teenagers are getting married and I’m getting old and I realized I screwed up- so listen to my mistakes, never put your friends first- if you find a girl and love her and she loves you don’t listen to your friends marry her and be together til death does it’s part.

God has the right person for me when the time is right. I don't get married though and I'm all good about that 😇
God told me May of 2023, that I am getting married in 2024.
I am waiting for Him to bring us together. It is challenging to wait so long, to meet someone. But I strongly feel this is what God is telling me. I pray He brings us together soon. Knowing and waiting is so hard. One day I have faith He will bring us together. Will just have to wait on God's timing.

I'm 17 and I've like 2 people in my whole life, I think that's a rarity in my generation. I liked one person for 9-10 years, as you could imagine it would take someone pretty special to change that, unfortunately she recently started dating someone else.

Seem like not till one realizes you don't need or even want a relationship and GOD is enough. Seem that GOD got so mad about asking for a wife even one time right after thunder struck close by and I was like umm ok I m not gonna ask any more. 😔 my trust in God will never fade or weaken… I’ve been single (minus 2 months of a meh online relationship) for my whole life… I’m 22, and all I want is to love someone… yes, I love God… and I want to walk in His way with a gf or wife. I can’t help but love a woman, but I just can’t seem to find one at all….. and it’s quite painful. I’ve been doing my best to follow God and His plan… and it doesn’t really have to do with others being in a relationship around me. I’m happy for them… but my closest friends have said that they want to be happy for me to be in a relationship too..

Christ is all you need. Happiness from marriage is a blessing but it's not without its troubles. For me, I love God first. I want to have a wife and pray every day. Don't lose hope. With God all things are possible.

It's hard, when you have a family with 3 small children & one day your wife just walks out and leaves yall! I still haven't lost my faith, I believe it's made my faith stronger in fact! I'm now on the worship team and leading worship on other occasions. With us, I've realized, it's that she can't forgive and has held on to bitterness! Thoughts?

Thank you so much for this!!! I’m in my wedding season and all these things apply to me.
There’s this guy that always been around, we went to serve in the mission field back in 2019, but never made conversation. Then he appears into my life a few months ago, and it’s crazy because I prayed to God to remove him from my mind and life completely if he wasn’t the one. Then here goes that same day, that he so happened to invite me to this prayer and worship event. So I go to this event the next day with him and his friends are there too. It was chill, he sat next to me, but he was so nervous , that it made me nervous. Then after I thanked him that he invited me, and now he just ignores me. And I know he has some things he’s going through. So I don’t know if this was a glimpse of my future husband or what it was. But it’s really been taking a toll on me that we aren’t communicating, like the least he could tell me that he isn’t ready, or it’s not the time. But noooo, he fully hasn’t talked to me since I hung out with him that night.

Divorce is NEVER GODs will. The only basis for divorce is adultery or if he gets angry that you’re a Christian and refuses to be married to YOU for that reason.
