Great places to visit. You can climb on a rock, you can go the “the” library, you can hike or ride a bike on trails, yay, you can go to a super market…get 2…. A great place in the boonies…
Hi there. Thanks for the great info on downtown. Do you happen to know the pricing on the townhomes downtown? I think it would be a cool area to live in.
For all the times I've been to St. George (a sister lives there) it never struck me as having a downtown, just the older parts of the city with stores, some government buildings, and the campus. I guess compared to the suburban sprawl of the past few decades, that's "downtown" by default.
Hello @lauraschroeder8177 there is property out of town and I would love to share with you. Reach out to me via text four three five six one nine 14 80
I currently live in Summerlin in NV and have been in love with St George for at least a decade (going there as often as I can on weekends and holidays). I've stayed in my area because of the convenience (everything is here, professional conferences are held in Vegas, easy and fast to get to the airport and travel anywhere else). In the last year or so, I have been more concerned with my quality of life (I had a bout with cancer that I seem to be on the other side of). I still think about moving to St George or the surrounding area, but how is medical care?
Glad to hear your beating cancer. Stay strong. Medical here is great. I've been told that we have one of the best services for the price in the nation. Many doctors and specialists have moved here because of the climate and this is where they want to retire. What particular areas are of interest to you?
Yes! The city rec center has basketball, racquetball, weights, pool tables and more. The city pool has a hydro tube slide. There is mini golf, go carts and batting cages. Hiking and over 60 miles of biking trails. Skim boarding and floating at the river. Parks. Laser tag and indoor mini golf. Pottery. Just to name a few.
This town is sadly turning into a California city. Crime, pollution and traffic are all on the rise. It's a damn shame. This was a great place to live at one time.
@@HowToBuildYourOwnHome thank you thats sad plus the realtors and builders and developers are raising the rent for there GREED I HEARD many people in Saint George were forced to moved its terrible BECAUSE THE RENTS GOT RAISED over 300 more dollars a month sad THANK YOU ABOUT 25 MAIN why did they close ??
No, completely different. It was originally a Mormon settlement and the Mormon Church is very big. You'll be... shall we say, "pressured"? to join. They'll want %10 of your income. That was the case 25 years ago anyway.
Its a great place to live for climate purposes but make sure u own a house if you rent the realtors will raise your rent sky high. The realtors dont care in Saint George they just want to make more and more and more Money. The Realtors dont even care if you have children they are hungry for more money MONEY AND MORE MONEY
Isn't it kinda California style foolish having all that green space with the water situation being what it is there? The Virgin river is the ONLY source of water. If it dries up, that's it. It's not a big river and severely limits the amount of growth that area can endure.
Thank you for watching. We do have other water sources of water. Virgin river is one of the main sources. Some communities have their own well and water. We do live in the desert and are one of the fastest towns for growth in the nation. We all have to be smart about our water.
Thank you. I haven’t visited in probably at least 40 years, but still remember it.
Thanks for watching. Visit soon. So much to do and see. What activities are you interested in?

Thanks for watching. I'm glad you like St. George.
Awesome you’re a local, growing up there must’ve felt like Mayberry of the west.

It used to be really nice here up until a few years ago.
Love this Melissa! Downtown is amazing!
Thanks Sue!

I would be glad to send you info. Are you still looking?

Thanks for watching. Have you gone to any of the restaurants downtown?
@@malissakelsch No, except for a taco place that was awful.
St George had smart people design it. It doesn't look like urban sprawl. It looks like a fairytale town so opposite of cesspool California
I want to know lots are available more in the mountains that are close to St George. We want to live outside the city.

Thanks for watching!
Wow gorgeous 🥰 opposite California
🤗
The main reason people move to St. George, UT is to be close to the famous youtubers like "Matt's Offroad Recovery" and "Robby Layton."
Before you move there, check out the future water situation. It's not good.
Thanks for watching.
California let's water flow out to the sea and gets rid of farmers
I'm an Ashland, Oregon born son living in Cleveland, Ohio. How many miles of bike trails again? It's really pretty thanks for sharing.
Over 60 miles of paved trails and much more that for off road trails.

Is that Thai restaurant any good? Generally speaking, Thai food is super good.
I love Benja's restaurant in Ancestor Square!
How much snow do you get ?
Rarely in town. Once in a while we might get a light dusting, but the sun melts it within 30 minutes. We have not had any snow in town this year.
We rarely get snow in town.
And when you wanna expand a little further - you have all the golf courses and horse stables as well. Something for everybody. Great channel. 👍
Very true! Thanks for mentioning those.
Do trails allow e-bikes?
Yes.
Thanks for watching! E-bikes are one of the best ways to enjoy the area.
Is there activities for teenagers in St. George

Isn't Utah and especially St George basically a suburb of CALI, now?
We do get people from California moving here and northern Utah folks.
No, completely different. It was originally a Mormon settlement and the Mormon Church is very big. You'll be... shall we say, "pressured"? to join. They'll want %10 of your income. That was the case 25 years ago anyway.
A lot So Cal folks have moved their however.
Not a suburb of California, but rapidly becoming a lookalike.
How about living downtown apartments or condos? Everything you mention is not downtown
Yes. There are apartments. City View Apartments www.cityviewsaintgeorge.com/, Joule Plaza www.jouleplaza.com/ and more.
Can one feel comfortable living there if not Mormon?
Yes! The growth has brought a diverse group of individuals and it is balancing out. People will find what they're looking for.

Yes. We do have a BBQ place on main that is the real deal. It is new this year. Pica Rica. Go early. They sell out.
No shopping and only 2 small grocery stores. Yikes!
What is your ideal shopping experience?
Oh by the way thanks for watching.
Harmon's is incredible shopping.
No monkeys
