I’m about halfway into the video and I just wanted to say how wholesome and heartwarming it is to see the two of you baking together & ALSO, I made the Julius Roberts Courgette and ricotta tart thing inspired by your mum a few days ago and it’s gone down sooo well! I’m definitely going to be using more of his recipes ! Good idea with the truffles is to put the mixture in the fridge then scoop out bowls once it's set a bit.

I dont know if you will see this but i have twin 3 year olds and a 1 year old and we watch the videos together because they love watching your kiddos. The videos also help me not feel so alone as a stay at home momma with toddlers

It's very common to do this, and I think people do it all year round (obviously we keep an eye on them, and depending on the weather we dress the baby accordingly).

The First Cook Book was SO nostalgic!!! I actually had the My First Cooking Video, and it was essentially the same recipes in VHS form! I used to love the segment on the bread bears!

Ottie is so delightful to watch , she’s too cute. I’ve always wanted to work with children, but was busy bringing my 3 up. I have a part time job at a pharmacy and am 51 but I’d like to get a job with kids, seeing Ottie just made me realise how much
Zoey, if you get some white coffee filters she can use the dye to make little round tie dye circles and when dry hang them for her art show. Lol
Also you can get an under bed storage bin in plastic and make a big sensory bin or even just a show box sized one that you change out the ingredients from rice to macaroni to beads etc.
also those big giant rolls of white paper at ikea are great to do drawing. And that flat table would be fun for painting or finger painting. Use cut up sponges for stamps and make patterns on the paper. I loved when ppl made homemade stamps out of a potato cut in half and then stamped white paper with red and green and used it for gift wrap. Or cut sponge shapes for that like a Xmas tree.
She can try painting with many applicators like a qtip, a sponge, a little roller, a paint brush, a balled up piece of plastic even dipped in paint might make fun patterns. You can also practice color mixing with some pudding or I think you call it custard and food coloring and then it’s edible.
She needs some playdoh and cookie cutters.
Also small paper bags make great puppets and myriad uses for paper plates. Maybe do some scavenging at the park and bring home leaves to use to make paint prints. As it becomes autumn take two pieces of waxed paper, lay out colorful autumn leaves, shave on some crayon wax and place another waxed paper on top. Place a piece of plain
Paper over it and iron it on a low setting and the wax melts and makes like a stained glass effect.
You could shave some old crayons ahead of time with a pencil sharpener or maybe a cheese grater. I did this as a kid and remember how magical it was to see the colors when the wax melted.

yes, let you kid sleep on the terrace etc in the buggie. best sleep for them. you can do it in ANY weather. just put a bug net or sth on them during summer etc.
