Lady Gaga is the worst. Why couldn't they pick someone who's actually an actress and not a singer? Like the girl who played Elektra in 007 the world is not enough.

Jared Leto proved in this movie why he's one of the best actors working today. I had no idea it was him playing Paulo until I saw the end credits. Boof!

I hope Gaga speaks some Italian in the film. I thought I heard her say a line in Italian in the scene with Salma, but I couldn’t hear it well.
Everyone was fabulous but Leto- I had no idea, that was him. Except for the eyes. He is a chameleon. This movie was much better and much more interesting than I thought it was going to be.
I think this would have been better as a miniseries. Breaks my heart that Lady Gaga didn't get a nomination for this. She was phenomenal. I think the film's scenes were all cut so short that you couldn't appreciate it. And Ridley Scott was just the opposite in The Talented Mr. Ripley, for example, where everything flowed perfectly. I would have just enjoyed this more had we been able to see full scenes over several hours instead of trying to make it work as a 2.5 hr movie. It was too long, and I think that worked against it. Would love to see it recut someday with more footage and spaced over 4 hours perhaps.

That accent they made her do made me think of Hilary Duff's accent in the movie War inc.

One of two reasons: 1. Plot relevance: maybe Patrizia loses her shoe or takes it off for some reason 2. It's tiring wearing those heels all the time and maybe Gaga's left foot was in pain particularly at that moment

The dialogue coach on Ridley Scott’s “House of Gucci” film has admitted that Lady Gaga didn’t exactly nail her character’s Italian accent in the film. “I feel bad saying this, but her accent is not exactly an Italian accent, it sounds more Russian,” said Italian actress and dialect coach Francesca De Martini.
@Ocean MARS House of Gucci is the worse case of American actors with fake accents mocking Italians and they want to win an Oscar for this behavior.

This film being a disaster is definitely not Lady Gaga’s fault she committed to the character but obviously the writers did not commit to the script there was no meaty monologue. The only scene was” have you ever stolen anything” and of course our Pacino was funny but those writers need to be fired and never work again.
I have to say something from the backstsge I saw a scene that in the real story never happened, pina auriemma never made cards especially on tv,,,,,,, but of course Hollywood makes it possible 😉
Salma Hayek's poor english skills made her part more believable.
