    i don't follow randy's logic. she shouldn't shop for a wedding dress after she has the baby because she might not lose the baby weight, so she should shop before she's gained any baby weight? wouldn't it make MORE sense to shop after she has her new post-baby body so she can find a dress that actually suits her new body and isn't contingent on her crash-dieting to get down to her pre-pregnancy size (which might not even be possible)?

      What he's saying is that in order to get the dress in time, she would have to shop RIGHT after she has the baby, when she's still carrying all the baby weight. But by the time of the wedding, she'll have lost most, of not all of it, and the dress might not look the same on her. If she shops before she gets too big, her body will be closer to how her body will be 5-6 months after the baby. Anyway, the dress has a corset back, so she should be able to make adjustments to the size.

    Everyone is saying it doesn't make since to dress shop before baby . I'm with Randy . That will be one thing out the way . She will be more focused on losing the weight and the baby without the stress of finding a dress . Also , it is much easier to lose the weight , in the first two months after the baby .
    PS:
    The gown she chooses was beautiful on her . Perfect style if she has a little stomach left the dress will conceal it.

    • @Guineapigsreadingbooks
      @Guineapigsreadingbooks 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It is definitely a gamble. If she still likes the dress on her new body and has enough wiggle room for the alterations, it would be a great weight off her shoulders. If the dress doesn’t fit properly anymore though, or she has some post Partum insecurities about how her body has changed, it might add even more stress.

It's a lot of money and so you may as well wait til you can get the dress you really want,, rather than a nightgown. But most importantly, what if the baby is early or you don't feel well? Plus it's a lot of standing around and dancing and such might be difficult. I'm thinking there are religious issues involved.

    Before the advent of patriarchal religions designed to control and disempower women, a woman who came to a partnership pregnant was seen as extra desirable. She had proven her fertility and was bringing precious new life into the relationship. Such a miracle should be celebrated. Women should be once again revered as the creative source of life and renewal. It's so artificial to impose some kind of religious dogma on having a baby!

      I agree that women should be cherished for their creative ability. However only in pagan cultures was an unmarried/pledged, or whatever term you want to use woman perhaps looked upon as special. From the earliest days, it was typical to first find a life long partner before bringing life into the world. And although many marry for religious reasons, there i's also a strong cultural reason. Children who are born into a marriage, a strong committed relationship, and brought up in a stable home are kore likely to be successful, co tributing members of society. And quite frankly, not ment men want to take care of someone else's kid.

      I'm very liberal, and I firmly believe in reserving sex for a loving and stable marriage. For me, it's not about control over women. It's about self respect. I respected myself enough to save sex for marriage to the righg man.

      @@thecatfromoregonI used to think that too but I have changed my views. Just because you have sex before marriage does not mean you are disrespecting yourself and it is extremely sad that you think that way, especially if you claim to be a liberal. If you found someone you love, then a way to express it physically is sex but you have to make sure they are someone you love and they love you too and are not only using you.
