- It is finally time for a COMPLETE BALI VILLA TOUR! It has been a long time coming, but we are excited to share with you our beautiful villa that we have loved building. There were so many challenges along the way that we didn't anticipate, but it was all part of the journey. We can't wait to take what we know and have learnt along the way, to not only help us in future builds, but to help others understand how to go about doing something like this. We hope you love our villa as much as we do!
Would be great to make a video to let us know the contractors you hired, the price paid, how long it took? What were the challenges, do your rent it on Airbnb? Good job, Cheers guys ✌️
You guys didn’t ask, but I personally think Lex is right about putting up that rattan light fixture for the stair well. I think it’ll look great and adds more warmth & texture, since the stair wall is pretty bare. Big cheers for the addition of the hand rail and the pony wall for the stairs - safety is paramount. I can’t believe there aren’t building codes in Bali requiring such safety measures.

What is the process for foreigners to bought a land and build a villa? I heard you need to have Indonesian ID to own a house, make a house title and pay taxes etc? How to submit the application? Also which builder you use if you don’t mind sharing. By the way the villa looks beautiful.

It would have been a little helpful if you would have went into a little more detail of some of the people you ended up using for those small things like wood,hanging lights, etc. all around a beautiful villa and good luck to you guys with your investment. I plan on taking the leap and doing a investment hear within the next six months.
I like many features of this place. This wooden barrier on the top flor/ balcony could be tricky safety wise should someone get drunk. If it's not a secret how much was the entire cost to get to the stage where you are now?

You never own the land the villa sits on..so weird you can build something you never actually own.
