- Welcome back to our channel!! In this episode we paint and install a c-racer cafe fairing on our 2021 Royal Enfield Continental GT 650. This fairing will also fit on a Interceptor 650 without having to modify your handlebars as the headlight and gauges use the same mounting points. I looked at every fairing that is currently available for the Royal Enfield 650 GT and the C-racer seemed to me to best suit the GT. The biggest negative is that the fairing is not offered painted in a factory color which makes the fairing a little more difficult. I was quoted $300 for paint so decided to try my hand at spray can painting, it worked out reallly well. Options for color matching are using a local body shop or having the fairing wrapped.
Mounting the fairing is pretty straight forward especially if you are using the stock enfield headlight bracket. I'm using an aftermarket headlight bracket so the adjustments were a little finicky, I was about to go back to the factory bracket when it all came together. I'm really happy with the resulting look!! Thanks again for watching, liking and subscribing!!

Nice to see your diy tricks and tips.
My next mod on my black Magic gt650 will be this one....Hope result will be as cool in Black.
Great vidéos 👍
Thanks for Subscribing, we really appreciate it, check out my other video where I change the look to Mr. Clean and wrap my C-Racer fairing black!
Great video. You convinced me to tackle this project....with no headlight bracket modification....so hoping it should be easy! Subscribed!!
You can do it! Thanks for watching and subscribing!
Looks great. Very instructive.
Glad you liked it!
Nice work buddy, the bike looks great 👍
Keep the videos coming.
Thanks, will do!
Looks awesome 👍👍
Thanks 👍
I used 40$ chinese ebay type..hardest thing for me was finding a backet to fit but luckily i had an old 1960-70s multi-fit roof rack lying round and figured wonder if i hammer 2 of those old fit brackets ends flat will it fit..and tadah...1 ol school looking racing cowl on my gt650,cool video btw your cowl/bike combo looks sweet
I was thinking the same thing, I was trying to figure out the mounting when I found the C-Racer one and thought I really like the look.
@@losttogether4ever yeah the chin brackets say universal, but there not even close
I think that the best thing about the motorcycle is that it can be configured in many ways in few time
Great video! Certainly got me thinking about doing this to mine. Now you have had chance to ride and test the fairing, apart from the improved looks, were there any other benefits (wind protection)? Is it stable at speed?
The wind is more steady at speed, I feel a light pressure on my upper chest at speeds of 100kph.
Good installation! That headlight needs a plexiglass dome cover, though, as it's a very effective *aerodynamic drag brake* as it is.
I once had a plastics shop make a shallow circular dome which I manually ground to fit closely into the faring opening, and I held it in place
in 3 places with short lengths of nichrome wire. The wire penetrated 2 holes at those 3 locations and then penetrated the inner lip of the faring,
and the wire then held itself in place on the back of the lip with 90° bends. The nichrome wire looked chromed, and the cover never jiggled loose.
Air, and even rain, flowed around the faring instead of into the headlight opening.
Great video on the install .I wish some one would make a fiberglass fairing like a proper race style for the gt ?
I agree a nice fibreglass frame mounted fairing that extended back towards the tank would be awesome!!
If you don’t mind the headlight being moved forward the MKDesign fairing should be fiberglass, I have
their belly pan and it is fiberglass.
I always watch your videos.
Tell me about this cowl.
Does the handle or cord interfere when the handle is bent all the way?
I am translating Japanese with a translator
Do you understand?
ご覧いただきありがとうございます。カウルはヘッドライトブラケットに取り付けられ、フォークと一緒に動くため、ハンドルバーは干渉なく両方の方向に回転できます。これがあなたにとって理にかなっていることを願っています! Thanks for watching, The handle bars can turn both ways with no interference because the cowl is attached to the headlight bracket and moves with the forks. Hope this makes sense to you!
Thank you for your reply
i will buy and install the same
Looking forward to new video posts in the future
Would you mind sharing the brand/color number of the white that you ultimately settled on....difficult to hear on the video. Tried searching for "cfb mo335 performance white" but had no luck. I'm ok to try the RAL 9010 too as many forums say that's a closer match. Thoughts?
I ended up using Dupli-Color Perfect Match CBFM0335 Performance White I think it's a Ford color. It's close but not perfect. If I were doing it again I might check out wrapping the fairing if you can locate a good white match in vinyl.
I'm in Vancouver do you recall the total price to your door? Thinking about getting it got my GT650 Thanks.
Thanks for watching!! I think it came to around $350 cdn to my door, I lucked out and didn't get dinged for PST & GST.
Your bike looks terrific. Any wind buffeting on your helmet at highway speeds and can you see the gauges okay with the windscreen?
Thanks for the compliment!! No wind buffetting at highway speeds just a steady predictable pressure from mid chest up but smooth over the helmet. The guages can be seen easily with maybe the top third of the guages seen through the screen.
Pls reply where did you buy that fairing from??
Hello, Thanks for watching the fairing is available here -- c-racer.com/store/bolt-on-parts/royal-enfield-cafe-racer/headlight-mask-cafe-racer.html

Great video as usual but you really need to get a microphone. Half the time its really difficult to hear what you say. But then again... it might just be my old ears. :)
We're working on it! Thanks for watching.
