Bravo Peter! I must confess that I am moving back to native apple apps-after many years, they are hidden gems these days and also very understated - your share to reminder tip was a new one to me -- keep up the great work!
🔥 I’ve been working on my productivity and decided to to utilize all the native Apple apps because of their compatibility. I decided for the first time use the mail app and had no clue how helpful it is to manage my email. This is the first video I’ve watched on the mail app. It has been incredibly helpful for me.
😎 Apple Mail has one main issue IMO. I have returned to Apple Mail from using Spark for years, but the only thing I would like to see Apple Mail do that it doesn't do, that almost EVERY other email app does, is to allow you to go back to the main list of emails after reading an email, deleting, archiving, or etc an email. Instead of going back to the main list, Apple Mail always defaults to progressing to the next email in line. I want to choose the email I would like to work on next and not have it go to the next email in the list. When it does this, the app marks it as read and then I have to manually mark it as unread so I can go back to my list and choose. It would be far easier after we do something with a particular email, to go back to the main list, showing us all emails to allow us to be the ones who choose which email we work with next. Does this make sense? ✌
Many handy tips - many thanks! There is one feature that I am really missing and that is the ability to 'tag' an email. Using different 'mailboxes' is just too crude. Over the years I have purchased and installed Mailtags several times. A great idea - but the software was just too buggy...so after a month I uninstalled it.
I have created some Smart Mailboxes on my Mac. Is there anyway to get those to show up in the Mail App on iOS? If not, is it possible to create the same Smart Mailbox rules on the iOS?
great tips as always Peter, thanks. Am I an old person because I want to sort alphabetically by sender all the time and I can't do that on iOS mail? Nor can I find ONE iOS mail app that will allow it except possibly Outlook and I can't go there, I just can't....
Hi Peter, this video is very nice, very useful. However, I have a question: is there a way to see the number of emails contained in the iPhone mailboxes ? (like in the Mac)
Awesome Tips Peter thank you, can you tell me how to get a receipt on my email if required ? So when the person I send to you get a read receipt. Thanks
I've been using Spark for years but actually Apple Mail would be enough for me. All the functions I need and the app is very simple and clear. Btw. do you only use Todoist on the iPhone or also Things 3? My Todoist subscription is about to expire and I'm thinking of switching completely to Things 3... however, entering tasks in Todoist is significantly faster than in Things.. 😁
That’s awesome! I’m trying to move from Gmail to iOS Mail, because of the integration, and I’ve been using apple services for more than 15 years, also moving from Gmail to iCloud Mail, I already pay for iCloud so there’s no need to be paying for google services. (A bit more privacy than google but still compromised privacy with apple, maybe one day I fully migrate to Proton, but not sure because of the integrated environment of iOS products)
Hi Peter, these are some very nice tricks and tips. My favorite one is long pressing the Compose button to see all the drafts ☺️ Regarding the VIP functionality, how do I see a list with all my VIP contacts? Lot’s of greetings, Dennis 🇳🇱
Wow. Just wow. I’ve been using Apple mail for years…. Just found this video. I can’t believe all the extras I’ve been missing. Excellent job. Thank you. PS, now subscribed !!!!
Your video almost have me wanting to use the Mail App again. I just can’t cope without a snooze feature to make email I don’t want to see for now go away
Hi Peter! I am a BIG fan and appreciate your work! I have been trying to find a solution to this problem for about 3 months now. I thought maybe you might have an idea. The spellchecker on Apple Mail is not underlining misspelled words even though it is turned on. Might it have something to do with Grammarly being deleted? I would appreciate any help in this regard! Kindest regards- Ian
This was super, super helpful!💗💗 Learned quite a bit I didn’t know. I recently started learning abt the greatness of apple mail app. I used to just use gmail but this way I can make it much more productive between all the different accounts :)
Great video Peter as always. Quick question, do you recommend having all your emails in one program/client then it’s easier to filter/manage with to-do’s etc? My work email is MS 365 so Outlook but could them all into Spark or Apple Mail. Thanks
Hi graet videos, I learn some nice trikcks. I will recomend for your data security protection, to blur the parts when we can see your other accounts. ;)
I’m wondering the same. I have to confess I didn’t begin to know about all this power in Mail and I kind of pride myself on being Apple savvy. Well, not so much this time! But Peter’s video on HEY introduced me to that platform and I switched after further investigation. So far no regrets. I love HEY.
I really like HEY but decided to use Apple Mail so I can teach people about Mail. Many more people use Apple’s products and I want to be as useful as I can be.
@@PeterAkkies Makes sense, and I swear you blew me away with that tutorial on Mail. Amazing. For me personally I think HEY does the critical things far more easily than Mail - not so much tinkering and setting - but HEY is awfully expensive versus Mail (free) and HEY comes with a learning curve since its whole approach to email is so much different than pretty much every other app. Anyway, great Mail video. I will share it with Mail users I think could benefit.
Could someone help me with an apple mail problem. It shows that I have 54 Flagged email however it doesn’t show all of them it just shows 4 of those mails. In the past you could search for flagged email however nowadays you can’t. Can someone explain me how to find these in Apple mail/Gmail/Outlook

Brilliant! Learned a lot from this video today, even though I’ve been using the mail app for decades.
Excellent tips Peter

Nice video, thanks! I've tested many Mac & iOS mail apps and turns out that everyone has some flaws. Probably Apple Mail apps are the best.

What keeps you using Apple Mail versus Gmail? I’m just curious. I’m really trying to make a run at using. Only default Apple apps.
This is the greatest video talking about apple mail , i just reuse it gain after your video bro , thank you

Hello Peter .. how can i export different MAil ACCOUNTS from Mac ? Thank You
Great Video. Still far away from being a good work-email client but slowly getting there
There’s one where I zoom out of a mail and it disappears, is that sent to archive?
Thanks, Peter! That was the most informative breakdown of iOS Mail that I have seen to date!
How to display sender icon ?
Excellent video. Very useful tips. So much to learn in one single video. Thanks.
great job Peter, rare I watch one of these and see something I didn't know 😛

That’s definitely what I would do, yeah.
It'd be great if they had a focus inbox similar to outlook mail app.
This is very useful!
Oh I get it… a race to get the most info out at lightening speed?? Dude, slow down! 😂
Great stuff…
Working on that!
Wow! Amazing tips. Thanks for posting this.
Thanks for the kind words and you're welcome. :)
Great educational video. Thanks.
did you check the twos app? its a great overall app
Yes, but like so many do-it-all apps they end up being just okay at everything and great at nothing
Awesome! I love it!
Hi graet videos, I learn some nice trikcks. I will recomend for your data security protection, to blur the parts when we can see your other accounts. ;)
Thanks Oscar. I am pretty careful with what I blur out. As for my email addresses, people are going to spam me either way…
Why do u still have the Gmail app though?
I teach people how to use productivity apps, so I try out different apps all the time
Do you still use HEY as your primary email app?

I am the one who punched the like button for 500th like.. previliged 😊 😇
My sanity saved! 😅
Do you really think you can be a high functioning email wizard better than Gmail with Apple Mail
I don’t know about being a “wizard” but I find it easy to manage my email with Apple Mail. :-)
I am not in the VIP? What?
😱 how could I forget!
Aren’t you using Hey email?

I like. I learned. But you talk way to fast.
He speaks to fast to be able to follow his instructions.
He is very sad to hear this. 😔
Wtf. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😍😍😍
And universal trash and spam
please slow down, why you have to talk too fast like someone chasing you my god
Because if I talk much slower then people lose interest
