Breathtaking. Rarely however, does a "Villain" make as good a tale as Heroes. In the end, people tend to prefer good triumph over evil. And it's hard to turn a mass murdering narcissist into a hero, especially since his victims were innocents.
Redemption stories are usually better than the story of a hero as there is more character development and obstacles to over come. Plus the idea of someone correcting the mistakes of their past is a good beginning to a hero's journey. Look at God of war he plunged his world into chaos and killed many of those who were innocent but then in god of war 4 he tries to correct his mistakes through Atreus. Hence why it was considered a masterpiece of a story by many.
