The "Pequi" fruit is a local favorite in the state of Goias and it's also known to be the most dangerous fruit in Brazil!
Since I was curious to see what all the hype is about and why it's so dangerous, I visited one of the most traditional local restaurants to try it myself.

Recentemente pesquisadores conseguiram retirar os espinhos do pequi (como as uvas sem sementes, sabe?) As árvores de pequi sem espinhos já estão sendo distribuídas por Goiás. Então, futuramente, comer pequi já não será um risco.
