      @@lordodin401 I check once a week, but it burns very little, maybe 1/4 of a quart every 3,000 miles. I've kept it well-maintained. It only has 102K miles on it, has a long way to go. I usually trade my cars in once they hit 150K. That's when the repairs start getting pricy.

    Have owned a CT6 for two months and I like it. Yes, it has a solid, firm ride on 19" 245/45 tires and test drove one with 20" 245/40's that was so beyond firm it nearly shook apart. Nice styling, nice technology and exceptionally comfortable seats.

    • @bill_4888
      @bill_4888 6 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Well, it didn't last..... my opinion at two months changed as the cheap thing fell apart... tires were defective, rear axle failed, tranmsission failed and door gaps were so uneven that the front fender had to be removed and re-aligned. Nice looking car, but what a mess.

    I am not too crazy about this car in general and confused about the Cadillac sedan cannibalism. I did however become interested in this vehicle when I had one following me and recognized the orgasmic level of road presence this car has. I was impressed. Still won’t get one until it depreciates to the extremes in a few years.

  • @coureurdebois

    incredible this is just a mid level trim, this completely blows away the continental, Q70, and LS out of the water with superior interior materials, more features, more technology, and far more performance thanks to weighing less than 5 series all while coming in at a similar price t the 5 series. well done Cadillac.

    I hate when reviewers say this isn't a full size vehicle or it straddles the line between e class and s class. It is 2 inches shorter than an S class and is longer than my 2013 bmw 750i which no one would say is a mid size vehicle. I believe it is 8 inches longer than an e class and 5 series. That being said Cadillac did cheap out on a few details like manual rear shades... Anyway its a great beautiful car for the money and the ride quality is actually fantastic. Very comparable to my beamer. I have the alpina so my car is much faster, Cadillac really needs to put a twin turbo v8 in this thing along with soft close doors, and adjustable ambient lighting

      The Cadillac sedans have all been driver focused with extremely good handling. The CT6 has a Tesla-like giga cast for the front strut tower areas so the steering input is as good as it come in large lux sedan segment. None one will match the lightness in the segment.

    • @normt430
      @normt430 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@keithbowers5255 I would have considered a Conty if they offered PHEV version. I need better fuel economy and the 2018 CT6 2.0E plug-in was the right choice getting over 100 miles per gallon and 2,000 miles per tankful.
      Plus the Lincoln sedans are FWD based and RWD like Cadillac.

    Drives like a dream - agile, quick, amazing brakes, smooth and incredibly quiet - even at highway speeds.
    The 4 cylinder turbo version is virtually as quick as the standard 6 cylinder model.
    The visibility from inside to the sides and rear is miserably bad, especially from the rear seat.

    Great car in so many ways. But if I want European dynamics, I'll buy a BMW or Mercedes. The XTS is way more Cadillac, and way less trying to be something else.

    technology to produce ,why? because they said 1000000000 mileages no need change oil? or can fly?

    OK before I even start I need to say I am a Cadillac fan. I test drove this car a couple weeks ago. I was stunned how nice the exterior looked. The car certainly asserts presence. How ever, comparing it to the competition depending on what they are; I was disappointed by the low resolution rear view camera, Very noisy engine that sounds like a minivan and not so great fit and finish of the interior relative to the sticker price. Bottom line if anyone opts for the nicer iterations of the car (Twin turbo V6); they will cost in the 80k range; A much more equipped BMW 740i (extended wheelbase here in the US) with a more refined twin turbo v6 engine that has much better ride quality, handling and most importantly rear leg room would cost about the same. Perhaps few thousand dollars more. I think Cadillac as a brand is still CONFUSED. I cannot understand why do they insist on playing this game of designing cars that are not exactly mid size and at the same time not full size either. I don't think this car will end up selling much as long as that confusion exists. By the way, they still have XTS is their line up which is practically has the same interior size which is another confirmation on the confusion that is so serious in Cadillac philosophy.

      The 3.6TT V6 in our old 2014 XTS Vsport had a little lope to it. I adjusted the timing at idle and it helped. But with a ECU tune the LF3 could easily handle 600 lb-ft of torque and would spin the front tires at 50 mph!

    The CT6 in general is such a mixed bag! I like the lightweight and decent handling, but the interior styling and refinement is lacking compared to comparable luxury sedans!
    Hopefully the Escala capitalizes on luxury, technology, refinement, and quality!

  • @robertwilliams5015

    Just cant see why anyone would want the turbo 4. I mean the mpg savings are minor in my opinion. I've driven both and the difference is DRAMATIC. The 4 cylinder feels soooooo underpowered, it literally feels like you might break something when trying to jockey for position entering an on ramp.

    • @normt430
      @normt430 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We have the 2018 CT6 2.0E plug-in PHEV and regularly see 40 mpg after the battery is used up. I'm seeing over 100 mpg and about 2,000 miles on a tank of gas. That beats everything from Toyota today!
