In my opinion, this can be a simple answer. Taking the "I can't afford it" and the skill level out of the equation, this is just a math problem. What will your ROI be on each scenario? Of its going to take a year to get your return on a small drone, but 3 months on the more expensive drone, it's a no brainer for me. However, you may want to get the smaller drone and do the small jobs to get in the hours of stick time you need. I agree with Paul. Go big...now. Or, buy both 😊
No question a big reason I still fly my Phantom 4 Pro (other than it’s been a serious workhorse) is the size factor. When I arrive on a construction site for a mapping job, I don’t want my drone to look like the drone the client plays with in his back yard. Pulling out a big case with a larger drone looks much more professional or at least serious.
