Red and black are the colours of Anarcho-Syndalism. AURORA is a genius… her songs have extremely deep, subtle poetry. She has collaborated with Jacob Collier, another genius, for a mashup of his song, ‘A Rock Somewhere,’ and her song, ’The Seed’ and for GreenPeace. It is miraculous!

After listening to a 1976 Noam Chomsky interview on this subject, it seems to me to be likely that Aurora intended to symbolically support this concept. It certainly seems compatible with everything that I have come to believe about her. In my opinion: she has artistically created (masterfully) the persona of a contemporary messiah. She is a human with a high level of awareness and comprehension. Aurora Aksnes expresses her genius by being AURORA. Cheers!

Please do not try pidgeonhole Aurora in some political spot due to some color choice, that will hurt both her and her message. We just take oureslves too seriously, and then we are nervous or scared. We should learn from her, or from other great people.

This is about making really daring choices in a live setting, about being very certain that drawing out a note, or changing the cadence of something in real time. I am not sure how much stage experience you have, but doing the things she do in the situations she does it, is 55-year-old seasoned jazz veteran level cool, not 28-year-old-cool, totally in control of her expression and aware of how you and I will react. It is basically insanely professional, and a testament to how very seriously she takes her craft.
