I live in Michigan. I live in rural community. Michigan has 84 counties, only seven voted for Biden. In fact, the night of the election Trump won Michigan. The next morning, 300,000 votes for Biden came in from Wayne County. I live in Antrim county, tand Ken countieshe county that made national news for Trump votes being skimmed and given to Biden. Whitmer is not a popular governor here. She excelled in 10 counties that have huge cities that are liberal. There are yard signs all over the place that say our governor is an idiot. And yes, we remember what she did during Covid. And for those that don’t, I remind regularly.

He's being considered because he is a Democrat who was elected in a deeply red state. So Beshear is a moderate Dem by comparison. His main problem is that he comes off as too soft and too nice.
I understand he won Kentucky due to the urban vote of Louisville and Lexington. His opponent, Cameron, also had some bad press in the Black community due to his pro police stance regarding the Breonna Taylor shooting. I've been in Ky a few years. I did not vote for him and I do not see him on the 'big stage'.
