At this point, so much cursed things happens so regularly in Hoi4 that it's chaotic when something cursed doesn't happen in Hoi4.

The ship you stole off Greece was made in Italy and it basically singlehandedly defeated the Ottoman navy in the first Balkan war. Also during ww2 they didn't want it to be captured by the Germans so they ordered to blow it up but the greek soldiers mutinied stole the ship and took it to Egypt. It served as a patrol ship in the Indian Ocean for the rest of the war. It's still visitable today in Athens

For those wondering - That little red country in the North of Ethiopia at the start of the game is gone via event that Italy gets randomly around the time of the Ethiopian war, where Italy can demand annexation or let them be. They usually accept annexation.

Looks like the latest patch broke the Papalstates, after reaching 60 towards the pope, it still doesnt trigger the pope taking control. Used all of the tools to gain support for him.
Look up the story of Edvige Carboni. She was an Italian mystic and Saint who had visions of Mussolini before the war and after he died.
If i am not mistaken, she said in 1952 (or might be 1953) that mussolini has finally arrived in heaven. Makes you wonder who was on god's (good) side ...

@@crorioga yeah of course (i wrote about it from memory, didnt look it up once again), it also took quite a long time before he went up there. Interesting would be reading the original text bc i believe much more was written about it then it is now on wiki, would give better sight into the whole thing. Also interesting in this context are words by francisco franco at the news about hitler's death ("Over his mortal remains stands his victorious figure. With the palm of the martyr, God gives Hitler the laurels of victory."). He managed to survive over 20 assassination attenpts, so God was clearly not against Franco.

Essentially, reform the Roman Empire.
