Great review man! I personally went for the Surface Pro 4 because that offered me way more value for my use, at a lower price. But the 10.5" iPad Pro is definitely one very slick looking and powerful tablet. The screen alone makes me tempted to buy one to complement my Surface Pro 4.

Got the 12.9 with the Apple Pencil and Logitech keyboard that is back lit. This thing is still fast over a year or use and it hasn't showed signs of slowing down yet.
Hey, if you still have your old MacBook charger, you can use it to quick charge the iPad. It takes up to 29 watts, which should be the same as the Mac's charger!

Trust me, with iOS 11 it'll be so much better. I have a normal 2017 iPad but I want an iPad Pro now because I know I'm going to be using the smart keyboard and apple pencil a lot for photo editing.
You can get a MyScript Stack app to input quick with Pencil by handwriting. The main problem of iPad is the filesystem is not as convenient as computers, but they are improving on next version iOS 11 which may or may not solving the problem.
Bought a 10.5 and absolutely love it! Note: The 10.5 is capable of fast charging using your current Mac charger or as a separate purchase. Thanks for the Affinity Photo plug; it was what I was looking for.
Love my new iPad Pro 10.5, but did order the new 2017 MacBook Pro at the same time..I use my iPad when out but I should never trade my MbP for a iPad only tho. They work great hand in hand, and if you use iPhone you have a very solid ecosystem there..😄

I just bought the iPad Pro 10.5 wifi and cellular with 256GB of storage, plus the apple pencil and instead of the smart keyboard I already have the magic keyboard 2. I got the otterbox clear symmetry series case with detachable spine to accommodate the smart cover. I think I'm set!

Hi Guys, I recently purchased the iPad Pro 10.5 and the Smart Keyboard to go with this. The keyboard is super smooth and also very light weight, when typing the travel is minimal which takes a bit of getting used to. The keyboard is advertised as being a full sized keyboard although I’m not convinced on this. Sure it’s big enough for a tablet and light use, would I use this keyboard as my main typing device? No. With nowhere to rest your wrists whilst using this, and the slightly smaller size, I have found that I soon start to get hand cramps from the uncomfortable position that I have to hold my hands in. This might not be a massive problem for some, and I’m sure after a while I could get used to this. Maybe if you had slightly smaller hands you might not notice this as much? Or if you were just using the keyboard for emailing and maybe some social media. But I don’t feel that this keyboard can be used for creating huge word documents. I have been typing this up for no more than 5 minutes and already my hands are uncomfortable. I will stick with this keyboard with my iPad Pro as it is useful, but for my articles and reviews I’ll stick to using my MacBook Pro 13” Touch Bar. Thanks for the review. I'm still plodding along on my 2011 MacBook Pro. While I love the fact that it uses all the old ports and has a physical drive, it has started slowing down significantly. It's almost impossible to use any video editing software on it. Compared to newer models it feels like it weighs about 10 lbs! I've been debating moving to the iPad Pro for all my grad school needs. I do love having a physical hard drive on my MacBook and the ability to use external hard drives, so I guess I'd have to get used to using the cloud. But I think the iPad might be in my future.
Great job on the video! I'm right with you. I bought the iPad 10.5 and gave it a solid week, but it just can't replace my MacBook 12 inch... yet. I love using the iPad too, and the 10.5 is blazingly fast (significantly faster than the 9.7 Pro, which is crazy). Anyway, I'll give it another try after iOS 11 comes out, but for now I'm sticking with the 2017 MacBook 12 (i5). The ability to plug into the 21 inch LG UltraFine monitor and have a desktop-like setup is a huge plus. But really what it comes down for me is productivity. I'm just able to get more done in a shorter period of time on the MacBook. And there are certain things you just can't do on an iPad yet (like host an online meeting with full screen sharing capabilities) and there are other limitations with many iOS apps vs the full desktop version of the same software. There's not much to complain about with the 2017 MacBook 12. The FaceTime camera sucks, it should have one more USB-C port, and it would be nice if they good jam in a 4G antenna in the MacBook, but everything else is top notch.

MyScript Nebo is an unbelievable note taking app perfect for flow style of note taking or any other note taking using apple pencil. Readdle's PDF Expert (full version) is amazing for marking up pdf files (highlighting textbooks etc.). Nice job on the review. Matt

Justin Tse I've never had an iPad, but I do hear that's true, that they seem to last a while. I just can't get over that 120 refresh, played with one recently, and I think I have to stick with the pro, haha. That refresh is just so nice!
Love the portability, graphics, processing power and interactive screen. Much easier to lug around than my MacBook Air. Easier to use on fold out college/Uni very small fold down platforms for taking notes- no desks anymore.
Hello you can use the Apple USB-C charger (29W) provided with the MacBook . . . You just have to use the USB-C to Lightning cable and voila you have a quick charging solution.
I honestly like shooting on iPads, it lets you take advantage of the actual picture quality & it looks amazing when looking thrushes view finder which is off course the screen but it's jus not as easy to jus pull out your iPhone & shoot

Great video, but I would have like to have seen some of your notes, since you said you used it in college. I would like to see how you used it and what apps you used for the notes. Did you use: Notes, Evernote, One Note, Pages, Word, etc. Just wondering.
Hey Justin, just came across your channel, and instantly subscribed, loved the review! I've been on the fence about the iPad Pro because I'd like some sort of deal for it, but I'm primarily going to be using it for media consumption. Do you think I'd be wasting my money getting this? The reason I want this is because I'd want this iPad to last for a few years, and the new iPad 2017 edition just seemed weak. Thoughts?
+Kevin Varughese Thanks! For media consumption alone I think a Pro would be overkill, iPads tend to last people many more years than phones generally speaking.
Justin Tse I've never had an iPad, but I do hear that's true, that they seem to last a while. I just can't get over that 120 refresh, played with one recently, and I think I have to stick with the pro, haha. That refresh is just so nice!
Love the portability, graphics, processing power and interactive screen. Much easier to lug around than my MacBook Air.
Easier to use on fold out college/Uni very small fold down platforms for taking notes- no desks anymore.

Hello you can use the Apple USB-C charger (29W) provided with the MacBook . . . You just have to use the USB-C to Lightning cable and voila you have a quick charging solution.
I honestly like shooting on iPads, it lets you take advantage of the actual picture quality & it looks amazing when looking thrushes view finder which is off course the screen but it's jus not as easy to jus pull out your iPhone & shoot
