👋 Brent , Andrew and puppies 🐶
Thanks again for taking us along... Epic adventures.😊
Glad you enjoyed it
As a kid in South Jersey we used to watch the TV show The Untouchables, about Al Capone.
It was like a lil show, ppl playing parts 🫶
Giving big moose energy 🫎
Moose Jaw is home to 15 Wing RCAF Snowbirds, Brent.
You are correct. Their armed forces base is amazing
You, Andrew and the dogs may travel slowly, but so much fun you share with each other and us on YT. Thank you!
Our pleasure! We’re having a blast
Appreciate you taking us along Brent. Fun vid brother ❤
You are more than welcome
That was a fun day. I understand why no filming in the tunnels. It would give away the surprises.
It’s actually a live show bring out on.
You felt like you were there
Darnit wish you couldve filmed down there! 🤷♀️
Loved seeing that moose. That moose reminded me of an old cartoon I watched as a kid. Rocky & Bullwinkle!
Hey all 👋
If you enjoyed this video, push that thumbs up, subscribe to Brents channel and share it with others!
Thanks 👋
Loved Rocky & Bullwinkle. Does that make us old, lol. If you’re ever there, the show they put on is amazing
@@BrentsVanLife not old just experienced lol
@@BrentsVanLife If I do get there I absolutely will go check it out! Sounds amazing!
Corona and tacos Al Capone historical tunnel and the bootlegger railway Main Street and the downtown and the stories Of old smugglers Mongo and the Dude are so much fun to watch and the Moose’s horns make him look really big 😊stay blessed 😇 happy and healthy 😊
I love that you watch my vids
It truly means a lot
We had fun
Are you coming over the border
@@BrentsVanLife next year for sure 👍 I will definitely be checking out Vancouver Island. My parents got married there before I was even thought of lol 😂 Imagine how cool it gets!
My Dad used to tell us stories how in the dirty thirties alot of prairie folks made home brew that they shipped to the states during that time to servive the great depression so capone had plenty of canadian booze as the story goes 👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍👍
It’s such a great story. These ppl make you feel like you’re there
Good ole Chaplin salt mine. Moose Jaw my home town. Great City to grow up in. Home of the SnowBirds. My dad was and engineer at CFB MooseJaw. Now privatized and now they train NATO pilots from all over the world. Burton Cummings was living on High Stree for a while just off Main St. Not sure if he's still there.. So lots in moose Jaw.
Lucky guy, it was a ton of fun and we were not there long
Beautiful tour
Thanks fl and yes it was fun
Peace, love and granola!🎉
When we lived in Regina, we would take the kids to the airshow at Moose Jaw. Great video, Brent! Much love and hugs
Miss ya Ruth
Looks like a fascinating tour of the tunnels. I noticed a ramp into the first level, was the tour wheelchair accessible? Quite a few stairs. Dude looks great! Living his best life!
No wheel chairs but a great show
Well if I ever get to Moose Jaw, I know what I will be doing...
Smuggling?
👋😃 Well, that was a nice jaunt through Moose Jaw. I think I'd really enjoy the tunnels, thanks for sharing that with us. 👍
You’re welcome
One of my kids lived in Mortlack SK about 3o minutes from Moosehead, I became very familiar with the area, there's also Lake Diefenbaker and Pelican Lake.
I was stunned to find Pelicans in the prairies as we don't have them in Ontario in the Great Lakes. I thought they were solely ocean birds, I'm uncertain If I've ever seen them on Canada's east cost.
I think the AL Capone thing was fictitious and was a bit of a tourist trap. I think it has more to do with The Chinese underground railway. When I spent time in the area in 2001 there was a little area around the Tourist info center where small endangered Burrowing Owls were being protected.
We had to go to Moose Jaw for groceries and just about anything else we needed as there wasn't much else around in those days. THE CORNER GAS Show's outdoor scenes were filmed not too far away in Merlot near Weyburn, Sk and the indoor scenes were mostly filmed in Regina. I really liked Moose Jaw but at the time there wasn't much to it. The winter driving in the town is was I remember the most, the roads weren't plowed on the winter and whichever way the ruts went, that's the way you went and hopefully you could find a street corner that had ruts going your way.
The Snow Birds flew across the tracks from where my son lived so we saw them practice all the time.
You hardly see anyone when you walk around outside but if you stop in at the little diner or community center you soon find out that you, "the new stranger that's been walking about in their town " has been the talk of the towns rumor mill.
I guess they peek out through their curtains at you and it becomes big news.😅😅 Enjoy the prairies, life is very different there.😊❤
Great stories Denise. I’ve been to corner gas a couple times. It’s gone now. The Capone story seems true or at least believable. Great show they put on anyways. And ya, those pelicans. I ran across a few this trip
Great video. It was fun to see you enjoying the attraction.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I have to make a point to visit there instead of driving by.
Do It. You won’t be disappointed
Great video Brent. Too bad about the tunnels that you couldn’t video. Safe travels Brent.
Nice job. One of my families home towns.
Very cool! It was fun. Wish it wasn’t rushed
Did you drop in and see Burton Cummings while in Moose Jaw? Imagine ending up there after his career.
I heard about it after we left
That’s either Capone’s tunnels or pothole patrol 😂
Leaning towards the potholes
@@BrentsVanLife 😂😂😂😂
😊 Brent, does Moosejaw still host a high-school music festival? Participated in it, in 1971, with my school. Moosejaw is certainly an interesting place.
No idea, but Google knows, lol
@@BrentsVanLife Yes indeed! Thought about that as soon as I posted the comment. The festival is still being held. Was definitely a nice introduction to the city.
very cool city, for sure
🙏🐾🩵✌️😁
Great video.
It was fun
Too bad you couldn’t film down in the tunnels but I get it. I will put that on my list if I ever get to Regina. I will tell my neighbours they are going back to Estavan Sask in August to visit family. Great video Brent, thanks for taking us along. 🎉
Sue, it’s a show. You feel like you’re there
It’s pretty awesome
Beautiful area. It seems like all the good stuff is on that side of Canada and not the Montreal side which is closer to me. Shucks.
Actually, there’s plenty of cool stuff in the east, just a lil harder to find
Hi Brent! Catching up, and of course, watching out of order...jeez. I'm glad you enjoyed Mac the Moose. Did you get to Kipling and the world's largest paperclip? I had a ball last summer exploring the highways and byways of Southern Saskatchewan!
So much more fun, if there beaten track
I wonder why no filming?
It like a live play
Why didn't you let us know earlier that you were coming to Moose Jaw?
Honestly, it was a whirlwind week in the road with Andrew.
🍻🛴🕴️I can picture you and Wayne smuggling alcohol! Some very interesting and scenic adventures you have been sharing! Living vicariously through you! My adventure rig is having some serious work done!! Peace, love , granola!!
I’d love to follow it reno’s, and live vicariously thru you
@@BrentsVanLife😎👍
