Have you thought about offering a "trade-in" on bags. Maybe price the wood + bag and if they have a bag to return giving a credit on their next order? It would offer an incentive for repeat business.
@@oakfarmfirewood refunds are easy in most e-commerce systems. You could charge the bag as a separate sku and then refund it when an acceptable return is received.
Archie what is the moisture of the logs going into the bags, do you ever have mould on them if they are too green going into the bag?? I do about 20 bags a year for myself but I try and let the sun dry them first before bagging. Awesome stock of wood though 👍🏻👏🏻
I filled a wheelie bin with timber it was damp within a few weeks i opened it and it was white with mould. No airflow plus damp ye get mould on any wood id say only takes one bad bit to get it going.@oakfarmfirewood
Great video once again.. always great to watch your little operation turn into an amazing business...
Greetings Archie from a autumn New Zealand
My pine firewood is nice & dry ready for Winter.
Perfect well done Andrew

Our local seller does the same for unripped bags in good condition. $10 off the bag price.
i use it and it works well ... also good client relations start up ..
Good idea. It may be hard for me as we take online payments

Hi Archie nice one getting your stock ready for winter Thanks again
Good job building inventory 👍
With the small extractor filling barrels might be better than the original bags
Hello again. I can't find the video in which you talk about the moisture meter from amazon? Kind regards. You are doing amazing!
Long term i take it you would like a shed on site to put the seasoned stock in, its all money !
We may put some in the shed but yes we Have ran out of room here
👍🏴
There's a 10% shrinkage with firewood.
I can believe it

That is better, it depends how quickly you want to use them but I use woods that don’t typically go moldy

Have you timed the difference with Andy assisting? Looks to be way faster mate. Can’t wait to see this sucker FULL 👍🏼
It’s massively quicker but the time I’m away the processor is running and that’s what I’d prefer
I’m curious what size is the shed you call the second depot and how many bags can you fit in
I believe it’s a 60ftx50ft Hopfully get 800-1000 never filled it right up
🤘
When are you going to do a test on the kindlet to see how big of a price of firewood it can make?
It makes about a 5cmx5cm logs
Is there a reason you can't stack the grafter and trailer a second layer?
Weight.
Potentially cut out a trip a day and save on fuel and wear etc...
Ah I see
What is the distance between the two depots?
Only 10 min drive
Wales 😅
