We use a 1/4-20 Rivnut sold on Amazon from Lokman because this company makes a unique dimension of Rivnut that is the ideal diameter for the stock holes in the Transit. In the oval shaped hole you can install a Rivnut there as is. Plusnuts also work great there. They will both capture most of the edge of the oval. How thick are those panels ? 1/8 or 1/4 ?
These are 6mm (~1/4") baltic birch panels. You'd use (supplied in our kit) 1/4-20 bolts with 5/8" diameter thin head to install.
