Saddest part of all this is that all of the above are actually 100 percent true.
Edit 2: Abbi Liverpool beat BlackBurn in the 90's almost handing United the title had united have beaten West Ham they would've been champions they didn't but Liverpool wanted the win and got the win regardless of what it did for United big clubs want to win top to bottom and aren't happy to sacrifice minor success to prevent someone else having major success no matter the rivalry.

Spurs fans want the culture to change at Spurs yet are happy to throw games when it suits them. Winning is winning, you either want it all the time or you don't want it at all, that's how you create the culture. There's literally fans at the ground asking the manager to throw the game, how does that help change the culture at the club?
Simple as this Ange is too big for their club which is really ironic because the whole narrative when he joined was like since when are Aussies good enough to manage football since when did managing celtic think you're good enough to put spurs back on track to compete and hopefully win something... The facts are its not just fragility in the foundations of the club ethos and fans, the biggest issue is that they want to be a big club with a small clubs mentality... As a united fan if it was us and liverpool i would love for us to not be asked winning or losing the a game if it meant liverpool would lose out... but im not gonna beg plead and fustrate the club with chants celebrating a loss... i get shithousery and rivalry but to think like a big club is so important... You dont want to be remembered as the ones who helped but how many times have united chelsea or city over the past two decades had losses to rivals be enough points to cost them the league to each other... As a big club you have to take that embarassment in pursuit of one day we can embarass them worse but we won we played with integrity and its forced our mindset to win at any and every cost even if it benefits rivals or weakens their chances at top 4 cup or league... An example i can go back to as a 90s kid watching us give a guard of honour as chelsea walked the league and then few years later we got our revenge i know the rivalry isnt the same like derby but it was a fierce rival at the time jose with wenger and saf but in the end he made his squad embrace that embarassment and repaid chelsea afterwards thats what a manager should do and relaistically the fans should support should they want to progress into being winners
