    The crazy part is that Zidane was immediately forgiven by his team and the French people, and most people in fact. He went on to become a very successful coach and is respected by all great football players to this day. Whereas Materrazzi will forever be known as the provocateur, and he was already known as a dirty player (see TH-cam clips). Materrazzi's career was tainted forever.

      @Roberto Turco Hey Mister Copy Paste, your Materazzi was so scared of Zidane that he used his vicious and childish words to get him out of the game, which was not surprising since it was also his style of play. It's not intelligence , he just knew he was to weak to beat him on the field. Most important Materazzi did show his true nature, he's a pig. You probably don't have any respect for your own mother or sisters (if you have one) but if you think it's acceptable to insult the mother of someone else, you're a pig too. Zidane lost his control but he was certainly smarter than "Mister I can't win with my BALLS so I provoke" because he defended what was the most important to him, his family. His mother gave birth to him, his family raised him and gave him support. He knew his priorities in life. Materazzi was an immature loser who tried to play the victim when he deserved more than a headbutt.

    • @leahandhercheesecake8915
      @leahandhercheesecake8915 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Roberto Turco After all these years you're still stuck into this pig butthole. You don't understand what he meant by that? Taking someone's sister for a whore that you can exchange with your clothes. They talked about it days and days after the match, they had traductors, people reading lips to determine what happened. You can clearly see Zidane trying to leave with Materazzi behind his back speaking again. That is how Materazzi win a match, either provoking good players with vicious words or with vicious attacks on their body. You're not only stupid but you're a pig too. I bet if Materazzi want your sister or daughter for one night you'll take his shirt in exchange and smile to him like an idiot.

    • @leahandhercheesecake8915
      @leahandhercheesecake8915 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Roberto Turco Materazzi was also known for being hot tempered so what are you talking about. Not only that he couldn't win a match without trying to break some legs on the field, your pig is known to be a vicious player. That's the big difference between the two. Players with a bad temper are not rare Zidane was one of them but at least he could win a match with his own skills, no need to provoke the best players on the opposite team to have an easy game. Lol you can't say this about Materazzi, he was a dirty player and this match he showed that he was also a pig. If it is weak to defend your family, then you must be really strong to not move if someone call your mom or your sister a whore or want to make a deal. Take his shirt and give him your sister for one night. BRAVO you're the man!!!

    • @leahandhercheesecake8915
      @leahandhercheesecake8915 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Roberto Turco Obviously you are a complete idiot because I never deny Zidane's bad temper. That still doesn't change the fact that Materazzi knew he couldn't win the game, if you look at the match you can feel their frustration because they couldn't go through the game. That's why Materazzi was a coward. At least Zidane had priorities, his family was more important than a game which you can't understand , it was his last game, without the mother who gave birth to him, he would have never touch a ball, never play a game, never put his foot on the field. That's something idiots like you can't understand. So trash you keep defending a guy who couldn't win a footbal match with his "skills". It doesn't change the fact that hi trying to trade Zidane's sister against a piece of clothes was a pig move. You think it's a joke so you're probably okay with people calling your mother and sisters by crazy names, don't have daughters because poor little things will have to call a pig "dad".

    • @leahandhercheesecake8915
      @leahandhercheesecake8915 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Roberto Turco Lol so he was an asshole for telling the guy to wait until the end of the match to have the jersey? Since when do players exchange their clothes in the middle of a match? You're such an idiot you don't understand something this simple. The pig couldn't wait to have the jersey after match so he decided to insult a woman? It's crazy how dumb you are! Is that a compliment? "Give me you sister instead of your shirt", lol you're so stupid it's funny. Materazzi's team was losing, they couldn't pass through it. The match was terrible because of this team of cheaters, the great Italian team had the biggest vicious player in all Italy, you just have to watch the game again and you'll see how vicious they were. You can leak his B hole as much as you want you can't change the fact that Materazzi was scared of Zidane on the game and knew he couldn't win without his vicous attacks. Not surprising! Materazzi was an ace when he has to tackle viciously the best players so it could be easier to win a match. You keep copy paste your comments on this comment section, that's the level of your brain. Unable to come up with logic and evidence. Poor thing!

Others are convinced that no matter where you are and what is on the line you must defend the honor of your family against verbal slights. If you lose the game, so be it. Just fascinating to me. Is it stronger to be silent or to retaliate? Answer depends on your culture.

    I CAN EXPLAIN YOU SOMETHING Marco Materazzi has finally given the full story to what happened when Zinedine Zidane headbutted him in the World Cup final, nearly 14 years after it happened.
    There's few more iconic World Cup final moments than Zidane's final ever moment as a player in the 2006 final, when he was sent off for landing a headbutt in the centre of Materazzi's head.
    Over the years there's been lots of rumours about what happened and what the Italian said to cause the reaction and he's now revealed all, talking about the fact they'd clashed several times before the eventual moment of madness from Zizou.
    "Zidane's headbutt? I wasn't expecting it in that moment," he told Spanish outlet AS in an interview, "I was lucky enough that the whole episode took me by surprise because if I had expected something like that to happen and had been ready for it, I'm sure both of us would have ended up being sent off.
    "There had been a bit of contact between us in the area. He had scored France's goal in the first half and our coach (Marcello Lippi) told me to mark him. After that first brush between us, I apologised but he reacted badly.
    "After the third clash, I frowned and he retorted: 'I'll give you my shirt later'. I replied that I'd rather have his sister than his shirt."
    It's the first time the former Inter defender has confirmed exactly what he said. There has been many rumours about it in the past and last year he would only go as far as confirming it wasn't about Zizou's mother.
    "My words were stupid but did not deserve that reaction. In any neighborhood of Rome, Naples, Turin, Milan Paris, I hear much more serious things.
    "I talked about his sister not his mother, like I have read in some newspapers. My mother died while I was a teenager, I would never insult his. The two men were at the centre of the final from the off. It was Materazzi's foul on Florent Malouda that allowed Zidane to open the scoring with a Panenka penalty.
    The defender made amends for his earlier mistake when he equalised 12 minutes later by heading in from Andrea Pirlo's corner.
    Zidane's moment of madness came in the 110th minute of the game, with the Real Madrid manager's final moment as a footballer seeing him walk past the World Cup trophy with his head down, and Materazzi put away his country's second penalty in the shoot out as Italy were named champions.
    There's a good chance Materazzi didn't end up with Zidane's shirt after all, or his sister's.

      Just to answer the person that said Italy had a dubious penalty against Australia in the second round, if that is a yard stick then France is far worse cause they had more lucky breaks on bad ref decisions.
      The free kick that took France ahead of Spain in the second round was from Henry diving beside Puyol, the penalty that knocked out Portugal was another Henry exaggeration of a slight tap from Calhvaho and the Malouda dive in the final for the penalty as mentioned before so if the consideration is cheating then the French are far worse than Italy.
      Not to add the Zidane headbutt and the French complaining about it, as if the act deserved a yellow card instead of the red given.

    Man, the people defending Zidane in the comment section here are really stretching the definition of "reasonable force"

    ZIDANE SHOULD OF KEPT HIS COOL AND IGNORED MATERAZZI, AS HE COULD OF BEEN A MATCHWINNER FOR FRANCE IN THE PENALTY SHOOTOUT OR SCORED THE WIINING GOAL IN EXTRA TIME TO WIN FRANCE THE WORLD CUP[ 2-1]. AS A ITALY FAN WE HELD ON FOR THE PENALTY SHOOTOUT, AS FRANCE WERE PRESSING FOR THE WINNER MORE THAN US.

    If I were in Zidan's place at that moment, I would kick Materassi's eggs between legs so hard that he couldnt think about any girls aferwards
